“I couldn’t have wished for a better first sitter on Rover than Sara. She did an outstanding job checking in on my cat during the holidays. She provides very detailed cards with plenty of photos, videos, and notes on her visit. Highly recommended!”

“Phoebe is an amazing pet sitter - she is always reliable, punctual, and provides daily updates with photos. We highly recommend Phoebe for her caring and professional service. Smokey loves her!”

“Morgan was so great watching my cat, Graham! She was so accommodating meeting me and Graham beforehand. She sent me tons of pictures and videos both days she checked in on him and made sure he got some affection those days.”

“Fantastic! Communication was above and beyond what I expected, the updates, and pictures assured me as a nervous Mom that I picked the right person for my little menagerie of pets. I am overjoyed with the care my pets and I received from Lindsay. Even from overseas I was able to communicate daily, and when the unexpected happened at my home ( loss of power due to a storm) she made me feel calm and assured my pets were ok. I’m so grateful to have found her!”
“Once again, Colleen took care of my kitty, Baby. She did a wonderful job and I felt very safe knowing that Colleen was coming. Again, Colleen followed all my directions and went above and beyond. Thanks Colleen!”

“Monica was great! She was super attentive and gave wonderful updates. Definitely felt comfortable having her look after my cats. Both of my cats seemed doer comfortable with her. Will definitely book again.”

“Ashley is wonderful with our dog! She took great care of him while we were on vacation, leaving us at peace knowing he is safe with her drop in visits. He seems to miss her, as he is looking out the door to see if she is coming by. We will definitely use Ashley again!”
“Jennifer was an excellent cat sitter for Melvin. She sent several pictures and updates throughout the stay, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Melvin seemed super comfortable and well cared for the entire time, and it was clear she was great with him. Communication was smooth, she was reliable, and I had no complaints at all. I would definitely recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Lina is extremely attentive and caring towards our pets. Even our usually shy kitty has learned to come and greet her at the door. We feel at ease leaving our pets knowing they are in the best hands!”

“Gail was so great! She took great care of my cat Newton. She was so well organized and prepared when she came to meet him and she sent the best updates that really showed she was getting to know him! I would absolutely trust her to take care of him again.”

“Sophia took great care of our puppy. She asked lots of good questions (including many I hadn't thought of) to prepare and I felt we were in safe hands. We are still crate training so it was all a bit chaotic but Sophia was very helpful. Hope to have her back again soon!”

“Trent took excellent care of our three pets while we were away. We have three pets, an older black lab Coal requires medication twice daily (thanks to some jerk running him over in the dog park parking lot), along with my wife’s two cats, Cooper & Murphy. Trent was completely reliable with his care routine, including using excellent judgement on the length of Coal’s three daily walks in last week’s extreme heat. What really impressed us was how quickly he connected with Murphy. She is extremely shy and cautious around new people, especially men, but she warmed up to Trent almost immediately and even sitting next to him to let him pet her - which is the highest praise we could give any pet sitter! Trent was easy to work and coordinate with, including being very responsive. His communication throughout our trip was outstanding. He kept us updated and sent wonderful photos that gave us such peace of mind knowing our quadrupeds were in great hands. His attention to detail and genuine care for our pets made our time away stress-free, evidently stress free for our pets as well given Murphy’s endorsement. We highly recommend Trent and will definitely be booking him again for future trips.”

About: I've loved taking care of all animals since I was a kid! I grew up with a dog and now have one of my own, along with guinea pigs. I will give your pet all the love and care they deserve! I currently work full time M-F, and can help out early in the morning or in the evening, as well as on the weekends. I will give your pet all the love and attention they want, and will follow your instructions to the letter! I will help out in any way I can!
About: I have previous experience working in the Veterinary field. We have one well-loved senior beagle mix and two, sweet male kitties. I am skilled with medication administration with dogs and cats. I am a part-time preschool teacher, so I have time during the morning and afternoon to take care of your fur babies. I am available on the weekends as well. I have a fenced in backyard and a screened in porch for a little extra relaxation. I will offer plenty of treats, and fresh water for every visit is a must!
“She did a great job with my cats when I was on the vacation for a week. She went above and beyond on her drop in visits and even left a nice bonus of printed pictures of my cats. Which is understandable because they are very photogenic.”

About: I’m known as a bit of a pet whisperer, able to earn the trust of shy kitties and matching the energy of playful pups. As a lifelong animal lover and proud cat mom myself, I'm excited to meet you and learn the needs of your pets! I bring years of hands-on experience, both with my own pets and caring for others'. While I'm a certified Cat-Lover, I grew up with both dogs and cats which gives me a well-rounded approach to pet care. I love getting to spend time walking, training, and playing with dogs too! If you're looking for a reliable, attentive, and patient petsitter/walker who will care for your pets as if they were their own, I'm your person! I’ve helped train dogs, introduce pets to one another, administered medications, and worked with dogs & cats of all ages. I have also adapted dog training techniques to teach cats name recall and tricks. (Yes, cats can learn if you know how to speak their language!) Getting to know each pets' routine, personality, and interests has helped me spot any subtle changes in behavior that can signal when something’s off. In my free time, I love getting to spend time with animals - whether that's taking my furbaby Salem out for a chill picnic, visiting cat cafes, playing with friends’ dogs, or petsitting! Fun fact: I always seek out bookshops with cats when I travel, and have done so from Venice Beach, CA to Venice, Italy! I'm available for drop-ins and pet-walking on weekdays and weekends while you're away. I'm happy to care for your pets during the day or evening for as little or long as you'd like, however I'm not available for overnight sitting. With a background in youth education, I'm transitioning between careers, so I have plenty of time to spend doting on your pets as if they were my own! I like to meet clients and their pets in a preliminary meeting before confirming the booking. This can be in public or in your space, so I can learn all about their routine, environment, care needs, and interests. This is also a great chance for your pets to be introduced to me with you present, which can put them at ease! Building trust is key when caring for cats and dogs, so I'm very big on letting them come to me and allowing them to adjust to a new person on their own terms. Learning what motivates your pets and what brings them a sense of safety will help me best care for them. If they're very food motivated (like my Salem!) breaking out treats is a good start, and if they're more playful then getting some of their favorite toys can draw them out as well. If you have a very independent cat who prefers quiet company or a super affectionate one who wants constant snuggles, I'm happy to adjust to those boundaries! As a cat parent myself, I understand how important communication about your pets' well-being is. I'll always provide updates and adorable photos of your cat from each visit. Getting to know your pets over time will help me identify any notable changes that could indicate recommending a visit to a vet.
“Nicole was a wonderful sitter for my cat while I was away. She even accommodated an unplanned concern of mine at a moments notice. I recommend her services and would gladly book with her again!”

About: I have taken classes in dog behaviors and how they act when they might need a particular action done. I have a NAPPS certification, which is National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that is earned for all small animals, both including dogs and cats. I have had my own very young puppy, so I know how to handle and train them in a gentle manner that they will respond to. I have tons of experience in senior dogs and cats, so I am patient to more slow animals or paying attention to them more and making sure they have what they need. I have an extremely open schedule and can stay over for longer periods of time than most people. I am free almost every single day for hours on end, so finding when I can come over is no trouble. I’m easy to schedule if I need to house sit, and am extremely responsible and willing to stay overnight when needed. I love taking care of animals in their own homes, knowing they’ll feel the most comfortable surrounded by their familiar surroundings. The only thing I care about is that your furry companions are safe and cared for in a way that they don’t feel out of place or missing the love they got before you left them in my care.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Bel Air
Ni did a great job watching our cat while we were away for two weeks. She was very diligent about providing many pictures daily showing her completing each activity that we asked her to do, much more so than other cat sitters we have used in the past. Our cat is older and requires some specialized care, including a couple medications and cleaning up frequent messes she makes, having more difficulty than younger cats with her daily activities. Ni did everything she needed too well and diligently. We would definitely use her again and recommend her to others.

We love having Yan come take care of our cats while we’re away! This is the second time we booked her and we will definitely book in the future. She sends us updates with funny and cute photos of our cats and you can tell by her report that she really spends time with them and knows their personalities. It makes such a huge difference to know our cats are well taken care of while we’re away.

Henry was great! One of our cats is super friendly and took to Henry immediately, enjoying lots of playtime with him. Our other kitty is much more shy, but Henry was patient with him, and he eventually warmed up to him as well. Both of our cats were well cared for, and we felt confident they were in good hands. We would definitely hire Henry again!
Lei went above and beyond in caring for Pumpkin. It was clear that she treated my cat with genuine kindness, patience, and love rather than just completing the visits. She paid close attention to Pumpkin’s needs and took the time to make her feel comfortable. Knowing that someone cared for my cat as if she were their own made our trip so much less stressful. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I would absolutely trust Lei to care for Pumpkin again in the future.

Alison was very easy to work with and took wonderful care of our three cats. She made sure they were fed, played with, had plenty of water, and made sure the waste drawer in our litter robot was never too full. She also helped with bringing packages in and watering a couple of plants. Book with confidence when picking Alison!

Thank you Alison for the fantastic photos and detailed information about the information I’ve conveyed I care the most about. And going above and beyond and my baby boy (cat) leans into you even without prolonged exposure or time btw you two which means you give off good cat instincts :) thank you for doing what you do! I trust you in my house and w my boy :)

Lindsay was the best! I have a very clingy cat and she didn't hesitate to sit down and spend some time with her every visit. I received text and photo updates every day. It was a big relief knowing my favorites were taken care of while I was away. I'll be booking Lindsay for my time away in the future for sure!

Virginia was great with our two cats while we were away for our wedding, it was great to have peace of mind that they were in good hands. She very clearly loves cats and treated them with so much respect from their very first meeting! She also gave us updates through the Rover app each visit letting us know what mischief the cats got up to!

Katrina was the first pet sitter we have had outside of family members. She is responsive and caring. She was very flexible with the changing needs of our three senior cats and took the time to make sure they got what they needed. She communicated with us during the booking and adapted as needed. We recommend Katrina and are planning to rebook for our next trip.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bel Air. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
