“Ashley is wonderful with our dog! She took great care of him while we were on vacation, leaving us at peace knowing he is safe with her drop in visits. He seems to miss her, as he is looking out the door to see if she is coming by. We will definitely use Ashley again!”
“Colleen and Sean always take such good care of our cats!! We greatly appreciate their frequent communication, great pictures, and the attention and love they clearly provide 💕”

“Sophia was fantastic! She was punctual and responsive during both the meet & greet and her drop-in visit. She asked thoughtful questions and quickly picked up on the different personalities of our pups. It was clear her priority was keeping them happy and entertained while we were away. We highly recommend her and will definitely call on her again in the future”

“Another trip and Lindsey took care of our girls. She gives great updates and goes above and beyond for us. Even went to the store to try and find a probiotic my cat needs. We will forever use Lindsey l .”

“I can't recommend Zosha highly enough. I scheduled daily visits while we were on vacation for our cat Chloe to be given her medication and some love - and Zosha did such a great job at both! He went out of his way to give her plenty of affection and even treats on her puzzle toy. Everything was clean and left in great shape, Zosha was super communicative, and sent lots of pictures! Chloe is definitely a fan, and so are we. Thanks again, Zosha!”

“Nicole did a great job checking on Harper. She followed all of our instructions and feedback, and she was flexible when we realized we didn’t book all of our days and needed to add one at the end. We will definitely be asking Nicole to check on Harper again in the future!”

“Morgan is a true 5-star sitter! She has everything and more you could ask of someone to care of your pet. She’s professional, kind and warm. Our kitty is a little shy when it comes to people but he warmed up quickly to Morgan. I highly recommend her. A++++”

About: I have taken classes in dog behaviors and how they act when they might need a particular action done. I have a NAPPS certification, which is National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that is earned for all small animals, both including dogs and cats. I have had my own very young puppy, so I know how to handle and train them in a gentle manner that they will respond to. I have tons of experience in senior dogs and cats, so I am patient to more slow animals or paying attention to them more and making sure they have what they need. I have an extremely open schedule and can stay over for longer periods of time than most people. I am free almost every single day for hours on end, so finding when I can come over is no trouble. I’m easy to schedule if I need to house sit, and am extremely responsible and willing to stay overnight when needed. I love taking care of animals in their own homes, knowing they’ll feel the most comfortable surrounded by their familiar surroundings. The only thing I care about is that your furry companions are safe and cared for in a way that they don’t feel out of place or missing the love they got before you left them in my care.
“I couldn’t have wished for a better first sitter on Rover than Sara. She did an outstanding job checking in on my cat during the holidays. She provides very detailed cards with plenty of photos, videos, and notes on her visit. Highly recommended!”

“We feel so lucky to have Phoebe as Smokey’s sitter for years! She consistently takes such wonderful care of our cat, and it gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. You can tell Phoebe genuinely loves animals. Smokey absolutely adores her and is always so happy and comfortable in her care. Phoebe is reliable, attentive, and always keeps us updated, which we really appreciate. It is clear Smokey isn’t just being looked after - she is being cared for and truly loved. We couldn’t ask for a better sitter and highly recommend Phoebe to anyone looking for someone they can fully trust!”

“As always, Trent went above and beyond with our pets. This time around, our cat needed oral medications via syringe and Trent seems to be better at it than we are haha. He always leaves detailed notes with so many pictures. 100/10”

About: I had a small maltese-poodle mix for over 16 years who I personally trained, boarded dogs of a family friend, and walked rescue greyhounds and other rescues. I currently have pretty wide open availability with prior notice. I am allergic to cats so unfortunately cannot board cats, but am able to do drops-ins. I currently have a wide range of availability with prior notice while working a PRN job in healthcare with the elderly. Currently available for weekdays and weekends. I will follow any instructions given to a T while striving to maintain the routine your pet is accustomed to, while giving them plenty of scratches and belly rubs and cuddles :) I understand some rescues prefer less physical touch due to trust and comfort issues, and I will proceed with whatever level of touch your pet chooses to engage with me.
“Jennifer did an incredible job caring for our cat! She was thoroughly communicative, kind, and attentive to our cat's needs. She's professional and respectful and we highly recommend her!”

“Mitzi was really great! Communicated consistently and her care for my cat while I was away gave me real peace of mind. And my cat was definitely much happier when I came back home.”

About: I've loved taking care of all animals since I was a kid! I grew up with a dog and now have one of my own, along with guinea pigs. I will give your pet all the love and care they deserve! I currently work full time M-F, and can help out early in the morning or in the evening, as well as on the weekends. I will give your pet all the love and attention they want, and will follow your instructions to the letter! I will help out in any way I can!
About: I’m known as a bit of a pet whisperer, able to earn the trust of shy kitties and matching the energy of playful pups. As a lifelong animal lover and proud cat mom myself, I'm excited to meet you and learn the needs of your pets! I bring years of hands-on experience, both with my own pets and caring for others'. While I'm a certified Cat-Lover, I grew up with both dogs and cats which gives me a well-rounded approach to pet care. I love getting to spend time walking, training, and playing with dogs too! If you're looking for a reliable, attentive, and patient petsitter/walker who will care for your pets as if they were their own, I'm your person! I’ve helped train dogs, introduce pets to one another, administered medications, and worked with dogs & cats of all ages. I have also adapted dog training techniques to teach cats name recall and tricks. (Yes, cats can learn if you know how to speak their language!) Getting to know each pets' routine, personality, and interests has helped me spot any subtle changes in behavior that can signal when something’s off. In my free time, I love getting to spend time with animals - whether that's taking my furbaby Salem out for a chill picnic, visiting cat cafes, playing with friends’ dogs, or petsitting! Fun fact: I always seek out bookshops with cats when I travel, and have done so from Venice Beach, CA to Venice, Italy! I'm available for drop-ins and pet-walking on weekdays and weekends while you're away. I'm happy to care for your pets during the day or evening for as little or long as you'd like, however I'm not available for overnight sitting. With a background in youth education, I'm transitioning between careers, so I have plenty of time to spend doting on your pets as if they were my own! I like to meet clients and their pets in a preliminary meeting before confirming the booking. This can be in public or in your space, so I can learn all about their routine, environment, care needs, and interests. This is also a great chance for your pets to be introduced to me with you present, which can put them at ease! Building trust is key when caring for cats and dogs, so I'm very big on letting them come to me and allowing them to adjust to a new person on their own terms. Learning what motivates your pets and what brings them a sense of safety will help me best care for them. If they're very food motivated (like my Salem!) breaking out treats is a good start, and if they're more playful then getting some of their favorite toys can draw them out as well. If you have a very independent cat who prefers quiet company or a super affectionate one who wants constant snuggles, I'm happy to adjust to those boundaries! As a cat parent myself, I understand how important communication about your pets' well-being is. I'll always provide updates and adorable photos of your cat from each visit. Getting to know your pets over time will help me identify any notable changes that could indicate recommending a visit to a vet.
“Alena was great! She did a meet and greet with us ahead of time, asked all the questions and she was all good to go! She did an amazing job with her comms and took great care of our pup. I will definitely reach back out next time we need someone to drop in, she was great!”

Yan checked in on our cats for about a week and followed all instructions perfectly. She sent us regular notes and amazing photos! We could tell they were very well taken care of and played a lot. She takes her job seriously and is good at it! I feel like she is definitely a cat person :) We appreciated her and will book again! Highly recommend!

Ni was amazing with my cat Stevie! She sends sooo many photos throughout the visit timeframe and treated him so nicely! She also is very organized with making a list of exactly what you need to be done for your pet while you’re away. Will definitely hire Ni again!

Phoebe has been taking care of our cat, Smokey, for quite some time now, and we couldn’t be happier. She’s reliable, communicative, and always makes sure Smokey is well cared for while we’re away. We really appreciate the thoughtful updates and photos, which give us so much peace of mind. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the pets she watches, and Smokey is always happy and relaxed when we get home. We trust Phoebe completely and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter!

Joaquin went above and beyond in every sense. In addition to this already being a last minute request, he provided detailed daily updates on my Aeris, spent time with him, and even cleaned up Aeris’ food area and took out the trash. I’m so glad to have found him and would gladly rebook.

Jen was wonderful. She came to meet and greet my two cats and ensured she understood the process of getting in and out and their daily routines. She clearly has an affinity for them as even my more anxious cat became comfortable with her after just a couple visits.

Nina is amazing! We feel she is like part of the family, but most importantly, our cats feel this way. She is thorough, thoughtful, and incredibly communicative. She has the perfect touch with each of our cats, who have wildly different personalities. We trust her implicitly and are so glad we found her through Rover!

Josh was great! He was able to keep my cat Tommy well fed and entertained on a consistent basis while I was away. I appreciate his willingness to take care of him for almost a months I would definitely recommend him and hope to book him again in the future.

Yiting is truly the best! She took amazing care of my cats while I was away. Every visit, she cleaned their litter boxes thoroughly, took the waste bags out right away, and even helped keep my home clean and tidy. My cats are very shy, slow to warm up, and usually do not feel comfortable around strangers, but Yiting was incredibly patient with them. She spent time playing with them, gave them plenty of attention, and even put on TV shows for them. My cats absolutely loved the shows she chose! She also sent me tons of photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and she always kept me updated on how they were doing. I have honestly never met anyone who loves and understands cats as much as Yiting does. She is truly one in a million, and I cannot recommend her enough!

Bethany is a superstar in caring for my cat, King! She provided me with daily updates and a photo, and I could tell from the look on his face that he was getting the care (and brushing!) he needed. She told me that he even gave her some "head bumps" which clearly showed how much he liked her.
Henry was great! One of our cats is super friendly and took to Henry immediately, enjoying lots of playtime with him. Our other kitty is much more shy, but Henry was patient with him, and he eventually warmed up to him as well. Both of our cats were well cared for, and we felt confident they were in good hands. We would definitely hire Henry again!
Lei went above and beyond in caring for Pumpkin. It was clear that she treated my cat with genuine kindness, patience, and love rather than just completing the visits. She paid close attention to Pumpkin’s needs and took the time to make her feel comfortable. Knowing that someone cared for my cat as if she were their own made our trip so much less stressful. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I would absolutely trust Lei to care for Pumpkin again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bel Air. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
