“Monica is an outstanding cat sitter! She goes above and beyond to care for my senior cats, ensuring they're not only well-fed but have clean drinking water in their fountain. One of my cats craves physical attention, and Monica took the time to hold and carry her, making her so happy she purred! She also made sure to find my shy cat, which really put me at ease. Monica sends detailed updates with amazing photos at each visit, giving me priceless peace of mind. Her dedication, care, and love for my girls are truly exceptional. I highly recommend Monica!”

“Katy went above and beyond to care for our dog Nelson, especially during all the snowy weather. She played with him indoors and made sure he got exercise even when he didn’t want to spend much time outside. She is amazing!”

“Jennifer did an incredible job caring for our cat! She was thoroughly communicative, kind, and attentive to our cat's needs. She's professional and respectful and we highly recommend her!”

“Colleen was so excellent with Moosi! Feeding, playtime, and lots of pictures. It was a relief knowing that he was in good hands while we were away.”

“Came home to a happy and well taken care of kitty! Phoebe was nice, communicated with us, and sent pictures! She also was able to handle our sometimes sweet sometimes sour cat ?”

About: I have taken classes in dog behaviors and how they act when they might need a particular action done. I have a NAPPS certification, which is National Association of Professional Pet Sitters that is earned for all small animals, both including dogs and cats. I have had my own very young puppy, so I know how to handle and train them in a gentle manner that they will respond to. I have tons of experience in senior dogs and cats, so I am patient to more slow animals or paying attention to them more and making sure they have what they need. I have an extremely open schedule and can stay over for longer periods of time than most people. I am free almost every single day for hours on end, so finding when I can come over is no trouble. I’m easy to schedule if I need to house sit, and am extremely responsible and willing to stay overnight when needed. I love taking care of animals in their own homes, knowing they’ll feel the most comfortable surrounded by their familiar surroundings. The only thing I care about is that your furry companions are safe and cared for in a way that they don’t feel out of place or missing the love they got before you left them in my care.
“Taylor came by for a meet & greet with myself and my pup to see if it would be a good fit for a long-term dog sitter while I work long days. My shy and highly anxious pup ran up to Taylor immediately and did not even bark (a rarity for him!). Taylor was so thorough in the questions she had prepared and getting to know my dog’s schedule. I will definitely be using Taylor as a primary sitter for my dog going forward.”

“Maryam is so communicative and really really cares about these cats. I ran out of cat treats and forgot to buy more. Maryam asked where they were during her first visit and then brought her own for the second visit. Always going above and beyond. She is my go to cat sitter.”

“Henry was great! One of our cats is super friendly and took to Henry immediately, enjoying lots of playtime with him. Our other kitty is much more shy, but Henry was patient with him, and he eventually warmed up to him as well. Both of our cats were well cared for, and we felt confident they were in good hands. We would definitely hire Henry again!”

“Juan is AMAZING!! He went above and beyond with communication and over all care! My pup has special meds and Juan had no problem with it when feeding breakfast and dinner(: Juan went out of his way to go to a pet store to grab a sweater for my pup because it was cold out during their walks 🥹 It was so comforting to know Brody was with someone who goes the extra mile!! 10000% recommend!!!”

“Julia and Spencer are great with our cats! They spend plenty of time playing with our high energy kittens. They take awesome pics and give us thorough updates! Thanks again!”

About: I’m known as a bit of a pet whisperer, able to earn the trust of shy kitties and matching the energy of playful pups. As a lifelong animal lover and proud cat mom myself, I'm excited to meet you and learn the needs of your pets! I bring years of hands-on experience, both with my own pets and caring for others'. While I'm a certified Cat-Lover, I grew up with both dogs and cats which gives me a well-rounded approach to pet care. I love getting to spend time walking, training, and playing with dogs too! If you're looking for a reliable, attentive, and patient petsitter/walker who will care for your pets as if they were their own, I'm your person! I’ve helped train dogs, introduce pets to one another, administered medications, and worked with dogs & cats of all ages. I have also adapted dog training techniques to teach cats name recall and tricks. (Yes, cats can learn if you know how to speak their language!) Getting to know each pets' routine, personality, and interests has helped me spot any subtle changes in behavior that can signal when something’s off. In my free time, I love getting to spend time with animals - whether that's taking my furbaby Salem out for a chill picnic, visiting cat cafes, playing with friends’ dogs, or petsitting! Fun fact: I always seek out bookshops with cats when I travel, and have done so from Venice Beach, CA to Venice, Italy! I'm available for drop-ins and pet-walking on weekdays and weekends while you're away. I'm happy to care for your pets during the day or evening for as little or long as you'd like, however I'm not available for overnight sitting. With a background in youth education, I'm transitioning between careers, so I have plenty of time to spend doting on your pets as if they were my own! I like to meet clients and their pets in a preliminary meeting before confirming the booking. This can be in public or in your space, so I can learn all about their routine, environment, care needs, and interests. This is also a great chance for your pets to be introduced to me with you present, which can put them at ease! Building trust is key when caring for cats and dogs, so I'm very big on letting them come to me and allowing them to adjust to a new person on their own terms. Learning what motivates your pets and what brings them a sense of safety will help me best care for them. If they're very food motivated (like my Salem!) breaking out treats is a good start, and if they're more playful then getting some of their favorite toys can draw them out as well. If you have a very independent cat who prefers quiet company or a super affectionate one who wants constant snuggles, I'm happy to adjust to those boundaries! As a cat parent myself, I understand how important communication about your pets' well-being is. I'll always provide updates and adorable photos of your cat from each visit. Getting to know your pets over time will help me identify any notable changes that could indicate recommending a visit to a vet.

“Aislyn was wonderful with our puppy Scout. She was super responsive, on-time, and provided great pictures and write-ups of our visit. That was especially important to us as Scout is our first puppy and we were nervous about leaving her home alone for the first time. Scout always looked so happy in the pictures and when we came home from work!”

“Mya takes the best care of our senior cat! He absolutely adores her and knowing that he is comfortable around her puts us at ease while we are away.”

“I have had Aimee watch my cat Harley multiple times. She goes above and beyond to take care of Harley and I appreciate all of the photos and updates she sends. Will continue to use her in the future!”
“Isabelle and her family did a great job watching my cat for four days. I came back to a clean apartment/litter box and a very happy, healthy kitty. And the video updates everyday were fabulous!”

“Juliana was the perfect dog sitter to watch our boys! She visited beforehand to make sure she knew how to take care of and walk them, and diligently recorded everything about the walks and feedings and sent a message on how it went and a photo. Would book again!”

“Lindsay watched my cat Harper three times over the last two months for a total of 13 days. She followed all of our instructions and sent the best pictures of our girl. Lindsay did an incredible job dropping in the check on the cat every day. We've never used a pet sitter before, and Lindsay went above and beyond. We will definitely be using her services again!”

“Amazing as always! We went on a weekend trip without phone service and I did not even worry that the cats were getting wonderful treatment because Erin always takes perfect care of them!”

“Daniel did great with our shy and cautious dog. He warmed up to him surprisingly quick, which we took as a great sign. Daniel left the home clean and did everything as instructed. His daily drop-in notes were informative and thorough. We would definitely book him again in the future.”

Yiting is truly the best! She took amazing care of my cats while I was away. Every visit, she cleaned their litter boxes thoroughly, took the waste bags out right away, and even helped keep my home clean and tidy. My cats are very shy, slow to warm up, and usually do not feel comfortable around strangers, but Yiting was incredibly patient with them. She spent time playing with them, gave them plenty of attention, and even put on TV shows for them. My cats absolutely loved the shows she chose! She also sent me tons of photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and she always kept me updated on how they were doing. I have honestly never met anyone who loves and understands cats as much as Yiting does. She is truly one in a million, and I cannot recommend her enough!

Lyndsay took such good care of my cat Mooncake! I really appreciated her notes on each check in updating me on how my cat was doing, and it seems they had a great time together! She was also kind enough to help with cleaning a bit of a mess my cat left. Overall she was amazing!!

Lily was so great with our two cats! She sent us lots of great pictures and was very attentive. She was also flexible and was able to help us out by coming an extra day when we had a flight cancellation. I would highly recommend Lily and would definitely rebook in the future!

Henry was great! One of our cats is super friendly and took to Henry immediately, enjoying lots of playtime with him. Our other kitty is much more shy, but Henry was patient with him, and he eventually warmed up to him as well. Both of our cats were well cared for, and we felt confident they were in good hands. We would definitely hire Henry again!
Lei went above and beyond in caring for Pumpkin. It was clear that she treated my cat with genuine kindness, patience, and love rather than just completing the visits. She paid close attention to Pumpkin’s needs and took the time to make her feel comfortable. Knowing that someone cared for my cat as if she were their own made our trip so much less stressful. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I would absolutely trust Lei to care for Pumpkin again in the future.

Richard has been wonderful to work with— he is responsible, organized, and easy to communicate with. He took great care of our babies while we were gone for two weeks. We can enthusiastically recommend him as a cat sitter and will definitely work with him again.

We’ve been having Mya help us with our cats for a couple of years now and she’s hands down the best pet sitter! She goes above and beyond, giving them so much attention while we are gone. We love her reports…they are full of information and photos. It’s the next best thing to being home with our kitties!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Seven Corners. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
