About: Hello! I'm Valentina! I have experience caring for pets of different ages and needs, including my 10 year old cat and my sister’s 4 year old dog. Most recently, I cared for a Giant Schnauzer puppy right through his crazy growth spurt, from the day he came home at 3 months old all the way until he was 7 months old! Working with a high energy, big pup takes a lot of patience, consistency, and structure, so I kept him on a solid daily routine with twice a day walks to burn off that puppy energy and practice good leash manners. I’m also a very active person and genuinely enjoy being outdoors, walking, and staying on the move, so I love being able to bring that energy and enthusiasm into caring for pets. I have a flexible schedule and am generally available for walks and drop-in visits in the morning from 7:30 to 9:30 AM and in the afternoon from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. I’m happy to be flexible and work around your pet’s routine whenever possible. A little advance notice is always appreciated so I can plan my day and make sure I can give your pup the time, care, and attention they deserve. I love caring for pets in their own homes, where they can stay comfortable and stick to their familiar routine. I find that pets tend to feel more relaxed and at ease in their own space, especially when their owners are away. I’m happy to follow their normal routine, whether that includes feeding, walks, playtime, or any special instructions, and I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away.
“I can't recommend Zosha highly enough. I scheduled daily visits while we were on vacation for our cat Chloe to be given her medication and some love - and Zosha did such a great job at both! He went out of his way to give her plenty of affection and even treats on her puzzle toy. Everything was clean and left in great shape, Zosha was super communicative, and sent lots of pictures! Chloe is definitely a fan, and so are we. Thanks again, Zosha!”

“Alison regularly takes care of our cat, Zoe, but this particular time she needed extra care due to some new medical issues. Alison was incredibly flexible, attentive, kind, and communicative when things changed last-minute, and we’re so thankful she could be there for us (again!). Highly recommend!”

“Phuong is simply the best ever!! She always goes above and beyond in taking care of our cat and we are so grateful to her! We are able to relax and enjoy our vacations, thanks to her outstanding care!”

“Amanda is an amazing pet sitter. She took such great care of our three cats and one Praying Mantis. Two of our cats need daily medicine, and she made sure they had their meds. She even returned after a completed scheduled visit when one of them found a new hiding spot to make sure the cat received the necessary dose. We also have an elderly Praying Mantis (for real) that is a class pet for my students. She took such good care of it and she braver than most people I know because the Praying Mantis needed to be hand fed live crickets!! She loves all creatures great and small. She kept all the kitty spaces and the terrarium clean. Everyone looked happy and healthy when we returned home.”

“Overall Sierra was great. She was very communicative and was willing to sort of modify what a normal visit would look like since I have pretty shy and anxious cats.”

“Nedia is absolutely amazing. My pup loves her so much and they had such a great time together. She is so sweet and considerate and I feel so good knowing she’s checking in and hanging out with him! The absolute best!! If you’re looking for someone to book she is the one!!! 🤍”

“Elizabeth was everything I could possibly want in a cat sitter! She took great care of my little guy and gave him all of the love he could have wanted. Will definitely be booking again!”

“Chloe was fantastic! I was traveling with Winnie, a Boykin Spaniel puppy, and I had to stop for a few days of Work in the DC Metro. Chloe came over to the hotel and made sure that Winnie was fed, watered, walked and entertained while I worked all day. I'm sure this was a unique situation but Chloe made it work and did an excellent job. I highly recommend using Chloe, Thank you so much!”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 12 years old. I have specific experiences with all types of cats and dogs, including younger and older animals who may need some extra love, attention, medications, etc. I also have some experience with both dog and cat training. Dogs and cats are not just where the list ends, as I have experience taking care of bunnies, ferrets, horses, sheep, spotted geckos, birds, and fish. Neighbors, family, and friends consistently comment on feeling at ease leaving their animals in my care and really see that I treat their animals with the love and care that I do my own. I am available for both overnight and multiple day visits. I'm currently working hybridly, where I am in the office two days a week and work from home three days a week. My schedule is very flexible in terms of which days I need to go into the office. I am more than willing to work from home at your home if I am doing all-day visits. I also have a very flexible and open weekend schedule. I am very attentive and detail oriented, taking the time to care for your animal and paying attention to any routines and daily duties. I am very communicative, sending frequent animal updates and asking/answering any questions promptly.
“Pamela was awesome in taking care of my cat and dog while I was away. She took lots of notes and asked great questions during the pre-meet. I returned to unstressed, happy animals and a very clean home. I highly recommend Pamela.”

“Sara did an excellent job looking after our cat! She was thoughtful, timely, and communicated well with us to make sure our cat was well taken care of. I would recommend her highly!”

“Katherine was fantastic dropping in to visit our two dogs when we needed last minute care. She took great care of them and kept me updated throughout her visit. Our dogs love her! And we do too. Will definitely have her back when we need care again!”

About: Raising my own dog from puppyhood and caring for dogs of all ages has taught me how to show up with patience, love, and consistency. I’m comfortable with both active pups and laid‑back cuddlers, and I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality. Dogs make life more fulfilling, and it would be an honor to care for your pup with the same warmth I give my own. 💕 I’m a grad student who works part time, so my weekday schedule is very open during the day. I can do check‑ins while you’re at work, and regular walks throughout the day. Your fur baby won’t have to wait long for attention, and I’m able to follow whatever routine helps them feel comfortable and cared for. I do have my own friendly dog at home, and I always make sure introductions are slow and safe so every pup feels comfortable. We live in a house in a quiet, dog‑friendly neighborhood with plenty of space for your pup to relax, explore, and enjoy walks. I keep a close eye on all interactions and follow whatever boundaries or routines help your dog feel secure.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of Bagel! We got home last night and could tell she was so well taken care of. 🥹 She doesn’t really open up to our other friends, so the fact that she really likes you means a lot! We really appreciate all the love and care you gave her. ❤️

We absolutely loved working with Alison, who watched our two cats while we were away! Our cats immediately warmed up to her (even our shy cat Moki immediately came out and was comfortable with Alison, which is unusual for Moki!). Alison was a great communicator and sent great updates and photos each day. We hope to hire her next time we need a Catsitter as well!
Amanda has cat sat for our senior cat twice now, and went above and beyond both times. Unfortunately, our cat requires an intense medication schedule due to all of the health issues that she’s accumulated over time, which makes it difficult for us owners to travel without worrying about her. Amanda has been able to deliver on that medication schedule with flying colors. We feel so much better and relieved knowing that our needy cat is well taken care of. Thank you, Amanda!

Elizabeth is wonderful! She is taking great care of our cats while we’re away and is very reliable, attentive, and easy to communicate with. She follows all of our instructions carefully, keeps us updated, and gives us peace of mind knowing our cats and home are in good hands. We really appreciate her help and would absolutely trust her to care for them again. Highly recommend Elizabeth!
Elizabeth is the first sitter I ever used for my two cats and I will always rebook with her! She took such great care of my babies and made me feel comfortable knowing they were in good hands especially with one of my cats having a medical condition. Communication was fantastic, she sent an update and photo after every visit, and I could always count on her to be right on time.

I can’t thank Tricia enough! This was the first time my cat ever had a cat sitter and let someone in my own and Tricia was so communicative and kind from the very beginning to the meet and greet. All the photos each visit made me feel a little less sad being away knowing she was in great hands!! Just amazing attention to detail took so many notes from the meet and greet reached out with questions!! I am so thankful to have found her!!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
