“Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”

About: I’ve been surrounded my dogs and cats my whole life. Typically I pet sit for friends. The pets I’ve watched are mainly dogs and cats but I’ve also done reptiles, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. I had my own dog for 1 year and a half. We loved outdoor walks, hikes with couch snuggles mixed in. Most common breeds of dogs are Retriever, Pitbull and German Shepherds. Currently have open availability for any day of the week and any time! Open to extended stays and any length of time needed to watch. I’m not able to have pets in my home but I can come to yours and know plenty of parks in the DMV area.

Elisabeth was an absolute lifesaver while I was traveling! She was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive with my cat, Coco. I was away for over 20 days, and I could tell that Coco was well cared for and didn’t feel nearly as lonely while I was gone. Elisabeth was also extremely responsible and flexible with the key handoffs. We had to coordinate the key a few different times, and she even offered to drop it off with my friend, which I really appreciated. She also took so many adorable photos of Coco without me even having to ask. Getting all those cute updates made me miss Coco a little less while I was away. He is very reliable and response quickly. We had AC issue while we were away and he visited our house to feed our cat so we asked him to check the AC thermostat. He showed us the thermostat with his Facetime just like he did with our cat. It was helpful to confirm the thermostat was off.
I can’t thank Tricia enough! This was the first time my cat ever had a cat sitter and let someone in my own and Tricia was so communicative and kind from the very beginning to the meet and greet.
