About: Hi! My name is Barb. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, and small animals for over 10 years, including my own pets. I am available for daily walks, feeding, playtime, drop-in visits, litter box cleaning, and medication routines. I have experience with active and senior pets, shy cats, and animals that need extra patience and reassurance. Puppies and kittens are also welcome. Hope to hear from you soon! My schedule is flexible for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the week. I’m available for both recurring and occasional pet care, and I do my best to keep pets on their normal routine while their owners are away. I prioritize safety, routine, and clear communication when caring for pets in a client’s home. I carefully follow feeding, medication, and care instructions, pay close attention during walks and visits, and always make sure pets feel comfortable, calm, and secure in their environment.
“Christina was a reliable, diligent, and effective cat sitter. We came back to a happy and healthy cat and all our instructions seem to have been followed. Would happily book her again.”

About: Ever since I was little, I have been known to care extra for the animals and creatures around me. I can remember helping out with family friends' dog, cat, or horse feedings fairly early on in my life. I have petsitting experience as well as internship experience at Ark Veterinarian Hospital, where I completed a 6-week full-time internship shadowing Dr. Kate Connell 2 years ago. I was able to work with some amazing technicians and doctors. I was even able to observe a few orthopedic surgeries. Now I can say that I have worked with all sorts of dogs and cats in varying medical and behavioral states. I feel incredibly grateful for the experience. I have pets of my own; my family dog Cabot (a Welsh Springer Spaniel) lives with my dad in Middlebury, and my cat Somtso (a beautiful longhair rescue) lives with me between Pennsylvania and Virginia. My family and I have cared for Cabot for over 7 years now, and sweet Somtso for over 5. I am a full-time college student going into my senior academic year at Dickinson College and am curious about fun ways I could save some money this summer. Let me know if you have any specific questions! Summers are the best time for bookings. Between semesters I have full time flexibility to accommodate a variety of bookings and locations. Working for rover allows me to organize my hours in a way that is best for me and my clients. I live with roommates on campus, and alternate between living spaces when I am home, so having pets stay with me is not something I am able to accommodate at this time. I would love to be able to care for your pets elsewhere. I can do anything from long walks or games of fetch to tire an excited pup out, light training and feedings, and any help with medication or supplement schedules.
“Victoria was really attentive to my dog's needs. Great daily communication, sent daily pictures of the dog and even went out of her way to gettreats when they ran out. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a trustworthy and responsible dog sitter.”

“Teodora took such wonderful care of our dogs! She sent us pictures of our babies to show us what a good time they were having. We will definitely have Teodora take care of our dogs again.”

I love driving around, going on hikes and parks, biking and snowboarding. I always make sure I take pictures and communicate. I will always ask for preferences and special needs. I proactively clean the house to make sure the environment is on spot for pets. I am very proactive in terms of communication.

About: With over 5 years of experience, I provide a nurturing 'home away from home' where your pet is welcomed as a true member of our family. As a full-time housewife, I am dedicated to your pet’s care 24/7, providing constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and immediate attention in our calm McLean home. I am experienced in caring for senior pets with the utmost patience. My husband has his postdoctoral training in the College of Veterinary Medicine and is available to assist with any pet-related issues or health concerns that may arise. My two daughters also share my deep love for animals and assist me in providing gentle social interaction and affection, ensuring your pup feels loved and never lonely while you are away. Inside our home, your pup will enjoy a balance of physical play and focused mental enrichment through interactive pet puzzles and snuffle mats to keep their minds sharp and engaged. As a full-time housewife, my schedule is entirely dedicated to your pet's happiness and safety. Our household operates like a well-oiled team to ensure constant care. The day starts early at 4:30 AM, when my husband gets up for work, both of us will provide the first potty break of the morning for our guest pets. Because I am home throughout the day, your pet will never be left unattended and will receive frequent potty breaks every 2–4 hours. We follow a structured routine that balances physical activity with mental enrichment. Mornings and late afternoons are reserved for neighborhood walks or trips to the community park near our home to explore 'new smells'. During the day, I utilize our sunroom and fenced yard to provide a safe environment for play and relaxation. Evenings are a time for wind-down and cuddles, and you can expect a detailed update from me daily. To ensure total transparency, I keep a daily log of eating, potty, and activity habits to share with you at the end of the stay. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I am professionally insured and bonded , providing you with total peace of mind during your pet's stay. I live in a single-family home featuring a temperature-controlled sunroom for lounging and a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play and exercise. To ensure the highest level of safety, my husband’s postdoctoral training in the College of Veterinary Medicine provides an expert layer of oversight for all our guests. To maintain a healthy environment, I sanitize and clean our pet spaces daily, and all puzzle toys are sanitized between guests. My daughters have been taught strict ground rules for interacting with guest pets: they only approach dogs who are relaxed and never disturb a pet while they are eating or sleeping. All interactions between guest pets and my children are 100% supervised by me at all times. We love to explore the community park near our house and go on neighborhood walks, and I will keep you at ease with frequent photo and video updates of your pet’s stay. To ensure total transparency, I keep a daily log of eating, potty, and activity habits to share with you at the end of the stay.

Thank you Alison for the fantastic photos and detailed information about the information I’ve conveyed I care the most about. And going above and beyond and my baby boy (cat) leans into you even without prolonged exposure or time btw you two which means you give off good cat instincts :) thank you for doing what you do! I trust you in my house and w my boy :)

Virginia was great with our two cats while we were away for our wedding, it was great to have peace of mind that they were in good hands. She very clearly loves cats and treated them with so much respect from their very first meeting! She also gave us updates through the Rover app each visit letting us know what mischief the cats got up to!

Kayly was a fantastic sitter for our cat while we were out of town!! She was so nice in our messages and sent us plenty of photos of our cat and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for. She also was very communicative throughout the service and responded to all of our messages very quickly. We’d recommend Kayly to anyone who is looking for a caring and communicative pet sitter!

She was exactly who we needed to care for our finicky sweet cat. Abby communicated with us every time she visited with photos and videos of our kitty. She updated us on our kitty’s patterns and eating habits and learned when she wanted attention and when she needed a little space (so important for cats!). She was flexible with needing to find supplies in the house like trash bags when we didn’t leave enough out. Our cat clearly loved having her there and warmed up to her quickly. Bubs is usually visibly stressed after we are gone even with care but this time she was happy and relaxed when we got back. Abby was really the perfect cat sitter for us!!

We were very impressed and happy with Youyou’s care of Poe! She was very professional, and performed the tasks we asked her to do perfectly. We were grateful for her coming and going notices and appreciated her comments about Poe’s behaviors. Understanding our concerns about Poe’s adapting to a new caretaker, at our request, Youyou took extra time beyond her scheduled time to check on Poe for us. We would definitely invite Youyou back to care for Poe. Thank you, Paula and Thomas

We feel so lucky to have Phoebe as Smokey’s sitter for years! She consistently takes such wonderful care of our cat, and it gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. You can tell Phoebe genuinely loves animals. Smokey absolutely adores her and is always so happy and comfortable in her care. Phoebe is reliable, attentive, and always keeps us updated, which we really appreciate. It is clear Smokey isn’t just being looked after - she is being cared for and truly loved. We couldn’t ask for a better sitter and highly recommend Phoebe to anyone looking for someone they can fully trust!

Amber is amazing. She took exceptional care of our three maine coon cats, including our elderly cat who required medication. They received lots of love and attention while we were away and her pictures and visit reports were wonderful. I highly recommend Amber.
