“Musa was highly communicative and did a great job with our senior dog. One of our neighbors even saw them on their walk and later told me how patient and gentle he was with her. I would definitely have Musa back to walk my dog again.”

About: I’ve been a dog walker for 6 years, and I’ve had my own dog for 5 years! I love all dogs and have lots of experience with shy dogs! I’m so excited to meet your fur baby!! I currently work from home and am available to do day time walkings and drop ins! I have a flexible schedule which makes allows me the time to help with your dog most any time of day! I have my own dog who loves cuddles and loves to run around! She is obsessed with her dental treats and loves doing tricks to get them! I treat every dog as if they were my own sweet dog and would love to care for yours!
“We are so lucky to have found Tricia! Reliable, communicative and kind, Tricia and our pup have been having tons of fun at the nearby dog park and going on walks in the neighborhood! Would 100% recommend Tricia and we’ll of course be using her again for all of our dog walking needs!”

“Sarah was amazing as a dog walker for my pups! She was very responsive, came exactly on time for the walk, and was clearly so sweet and loving with both of my dogs! One of my pups is quite shy and Sarah spent extra time with her to get her comfortable before the walk which was above and beyond amazing. Will absolutely book with her again in the future!”

“Amanda is a lifesaver. I needed a backup walker due to the storm. She responded quickly and helped me out. I will definitely be using Amanda again. Thanks so much for your help on short notice.”

About: I once took care of a puppy of a friend of mine for 2 weeks, I’ve been surrounded my dogs for my whole life. I make sure dogs are comfortable and ensure they are okay with me petting them, dogs have boundaries and deserve respect. I feed my dogs everyday twice a day. They spend a lot of time in the backyard but during the summer the goldendoodle doesn’t stay out for long to avoid overheating. I have a fenced yard, and i have a lot of treats, we also ensure to feed them in scheduled times. I can walk a dog as long as the dog would like!
“Abigail is amazing with my dogs. She is patient with both my reactive Terrier who can pull on the leash and my senior frail Chihuahua. She is easy to communicate with and I feel like my pets could’t be in better hands. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Kaitlyn is THE BEST!!!! She truly loves what she is doing and loves Animals. She is super self sufficient, caring and kind. She is extremely reliable and I was so happy she was able to care for my dog last minute just before Thanksgiving whilst I was out of the country on holiday. I would 100% recommend her to anyone and all. Thank you thank you!”
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities over the years. I raised my own dog from puppyhood and also have experience fostering, so I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, crates, and keeping up with your dog’s normal routine. I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust with your pet, so I’ll treat them like they’re my own and keep you updated while they’re in my care. I’m also comfortable with multiple-dog households and dogs that may need a little extra patience and attention. I work from home full-time, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I’m also able to accommodate many last-minute requests. If you happen to live in my building or nearby, even better — I’m happy to help with quick walks, drop-ins, or care when something comes up unexpectedly. I live in a secure high-rise and provide a calm, clean environment where your dog will get plenty of individual attention. I’m comfortable following whatever routine your dog is used to, including feeding schedules, walks, crate routines, and any house rules you have in place. I’m very mindful about leash safety, elevators, doors, and interactions with other dogs, and I’ll always keep you updated so you know your pup is safe and happy.
“I boasted that my dog was a “very good boy” during my meet and greet with Katherine, but it turns out, he gave her real hell on their first walk. Katherine was super adaptive and handled it like a pro.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for 5+ years for friends, family, neighbors, and clients. I absolutely love getting to know every pet’s personality! I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and cats to K9s and a 17-year-old dog who needed multiple medications and strict schedule. I also have 5 pets of my own (2 dogs and 3 cats), so I’m used to lots of love, different routines, and pets with all kinds of needs! Fun fact, I volunteer for rescue in puerto rico flying animals back to the states when I travel there. I’m currently in college, so my availability depends on my class schedule during the semester. However, when I’m home on school breaks, I’m completely available and would love to spend my time caring for pets! I’m flexible and happy to work around your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities! I follow each pet’s normal routine, give them plenty of attention and exercise, and make sure they feel comfortable in their own home. I’m respectful of your space, careful with instructions, and happy to provide updates so you know your pet is happy and well cared for!
About: Grew up with both dogs and cats and learned to read the little ways they communicate. I'll be sure to treat them as my own but under your specific guidance and instruction, making sure they're comfortable and cared for while you're away. I can get them moving, tucker them out, or just give them belly pats until you're home—either way, I'm sure they'll have fun! I'm a writer by day, which basically means I'm 'unemployed.' But this is great for you because I'll have plenty of time for your pets! (Not so great for the gas bill however...) It also means I have a very flexible schedule and can bend to your scheduling needs. I'm certain we can work out a time that works for both of us. I was in the Navy and the NSA and held a Top-Secret Clearance for over six years. (They don't just give those things out to anyone.) But if that's not enough to get you to feel safe, I'm also CPR certified, was an EMT, and have experience watching pets of family and friends for years and nothing bad has ever happened.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tysons Corner
Natasha is the best!! She agreed to take on a weeks worth of dog walking on short notice, and even showed up the day before it was supposed to start (on a Sunday) to meet my dog to ensure their time together would go well. Her communication and positive interactions were simply the best!! Recommend Natasha to anyone!!!!

There really are no words to describe Elisabeth's commitment to serving her clients. She goes above and beyond every single time. I am house ridden with a broken femur and she stepped in to help me out this week even though her schedule was already full. I could not have made it through this week without her-she deserves more than five stars!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
