“Musa , thank you for your courteous and polite manners. It’s always refreshing to be around optimistic people like yourself. We were always informed of the progress of your visits to walk Browny and had that very important peace of mind knowing we were in good hands.”

About: I've had a dog in my home my entire life, and am always the one my friends/family turn to if they need someone to look after their pets. I have also fostered multiple dogs with leash reactivity, and have had some 1-1 work with an R+ (positive reinforcement) trainer to ensure pups can have the best experience out and about in the world while still getting their sniffs and exercise in. I occasionally run outside so I can offer to run with your pup(s) 1-2 times a week if you'd like, and I live 5 minutes away from Baron Cameron park if you like for them to play with other pups during the day at a dog park as well. Or of course we can just snuggle most of the day while I work from home. Well either way there will be lots of snuggles and pets... My last dog passed away in 2025 after a year long battle with cancer, so I have no problem giving medicine and making sure we stay on a strict schedule with food/medicine if that is what your dog needs. I look forward to becoming your pup's new best friend! I work part-time from home. I'm available for day-sitting while you're at work or overnight boarding when you're out of town. I'm typically up by 7:30, have a fenced in backyard, go on walks/runs throughout the day and love going to the dog park if your pup enjoys it! I have a 6 foot fence in my backyard that your pup can play around in. Take 2-3 x 25 minute walks around the neighborhood throughout the day and can occasionally go for 30-60 minute jogs if your pup enjoys more exercise (1-2/week)
“Francisco is an outstanding dog walker! He consistently goes above and beyond to make sure our dog is well cared for. After every walk, he communicates with me and provides thoughtful updates about how everything went, including anything he noticed that I should be aware of. What really stood out to me was his attention to detail and genuine care. During our last walk, it started raining, and he reached out to ask where he could find a towel so he could dry our dog off before leaving. That level of thoughtfulness meant a lot to me and showed how much he truly cares about the pets he looks after. I highly recommend Francisco to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker. Your pet will be in great hands!”

“Tricia is wonderful with my older black Labrador, Zack. I know he is well taken care of. I appreciate the details about his visit with Tricia too and I feel well informed about how he is doing. Tricia has been helpful working with me on scheduling too. Zack is doing great when I get home and I am happy to not have to worry. I know he is enjoying his time with Tricia.”
“Carole was great! Arrived on time, my dog was excited to see her and they had a good wander around the neighborhood. She took time with him during the meet and greet to get to know him as he can be anxious. All went well. Plan to book reoccurring walks with Carole!”

About: Hello! My name is Savannah and I'm an animal lover of all personalities and sizes. I grew up with cats and currently have a senior fur baby, Pickles, who won't leave my side. I also volunteer by fostering kittens through Wolf Trap Animal Rescue. While in college I lived with multiple dogs throughout the years and helped with their daily care and dog walking. I also volunteered at the SPCA and took dogs out for the day to better acclimate them to people and new environments in order to help them get adopted. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just simply a companion while you're gone, I'm happy to help! I'm responsible, communicative, and have a flexible work schedule. I'd love the opportunity to meet your pet and provide them with safe and loving care. I currently work full time with a flexible schedule, working partly in the office and partly remote. My schedule changes frequently where no day is the same, providing lots of flexibility and ability to adjust based off whatever your needs are. I have been around cats and dogs my whole life and know what it takes to gain their trust and take care of them like they are my own! I am comfortable in new environments with new pets and have been a neighborhood pet sitter for over 10 years.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
