About: I currently work at a dog rescue. I volunteered as a dog washer at the humane society for a year. I pet sat relatives dogs in their home. I know how to respect dogs boundaries. Right now my schedule is somewhat flexible. I am available weekdays and weekends. I am unavailable on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 4pm to 730pm. I am respectful of everyone’s home and treat it how I’d want a pet sitter to treat my own. I know the signs to take it slow with dogs and cats.
“My two dogs really enjoy their time with Anna! She goes above and beyond to accommodate last minute requests and it’s very nice knowing I have someone I can trust to be with my fur babies.”

“Francisco is an outstanding dog walker! He consistently goes above and beyond to make sure our dog is well cared for. After every walk, he communicates with me and provides thoughtful updates about how everything went, including anything he noticed that I should be aware of. What really stood out to me was his attention to detail and genuine care. During our last walk, it started raining, and he reached out to ask where he could find a towel so he could dry our dog off before leaving. That level of thoughtfulness meant a lot to me and showed how much he truly cares about the pets he looks after. I highly recommend Francisco to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker. Your pet will be in great hands!”

“Keila was so amazing and patient with Ollie ! She went above and beyond to make sure Ollie was comfortable with her and he’s always tired after their walks. Highly recommend!”

Our own family has included Whippets, Labs, Shepherds, Mastiffs, Basset Hounds, and Chihuahua mixes, and as sitters and fosters we’ve cared for many more breeds—including Bulldogs, Retrievers, Huskies, Poodles, Mountain Dogs, Great Danes, and plenty of wonderful mixed breeds. 🐕 🐕🦺 🦮 🐩 One of us is working toward dog-training certification, and we both have puppy-training experience. 🦮🚶♀️ We gently reinforce good habits, routines, and leash manners through patience, consistency, TLC, and positive handling. Most importantly, we understand that every pet has its own personality, pace, and needs. As home owners ourselves who have lived in three different neighborhoods in the DMV, we specialize in providing attentive, respectful, and reliable care while keeping your pets comfortable in the surroundings they know best--your home! When your pet stays with us, they become part of the family. Our home is set up with safety and comfort in mind, with a secure fenced yard, indoor gates, and separate spaces when pets need a little room of their own. Our designated pet areas—including our family room—are cleaned at least once daily and stocked with plenty of blankets, toys, and chew toys. 🪢 🥎 🧺 (See photos attached to our profile). Our cats stay comfortably upstairs, giving them their own space away from visiting dogs. Most important, someone is always home with your pets. They get lots of companionship, attention, affection, and access to our outdoor space whenever they want it. What we offer with our services: 🏡 Fenced yard 👩👧 Mother–daughter care team with 30 years combined experience 🏠 Someone is always home 🐶 No more than 2 dogs/families boarded at one time 🎓 Dog-training experience/certification in progress 🐕 Experience with everything from Chihuahuas to Great Danes ❤️ Dogs treated as part of the family Mom is the primary sitter, with her daughter—an apprentice vet and lifelong animal lover—often helping out. Whether your dog enjoys neighborhood walks, park outings, or a calmer pace, we adjust to each pet’s personality, energy level, and routine. For pet sitting in our home, we have a gated kitchen/family room area where pets can stay safely with us, as well as a fenced patio where they can get fresh air and companionship. We have the ability to separate your pets from other pets if that helps them feel secure. We can also crate your pet if that is part of their normal routine or helps them feel secure.
“Mary was really kind and helpful! My dog, Maggie, loved her and she did a great job walking her around the neighborhood and dealing with some of her tricky behaviors. Mary also sent really detailed messages after each walk! Would definitely recommend!”

“Maya has been great with my coonhound Stella. She & Maya seemed to bond instantly as Maya has a way with dogs. I'm looking forward to booking her more for the summer, she really cares about your dog. She's an excellent walker!”

“Christine is the best! She is responsive, communicative and gives nice long walks. My dog is always happy to see her. I feel confident that my sweet pooch is cared for with Christine. I Highly recommend her.”

“Sara was great. Available on short notice. It is easy to tell she is a v enthusiastic dog lover. Great communications, flexible and most importantly treated casey and Jay like they were the best dogs in the world. Well, they are the best dogs in the world. ;-). Really great. Would use her again in a dog’s heartbeat.”

“Edward took care of my extremely high energy lab/beagle mix for a weekend and was so great! He’s tough to walk because of all his energy and it was my first time leaving him alone overnight so I was apprehensive to leave him at all, but Edward put my mind at ease and I was able to enjoy my trip!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Crowells Corner
Meaghan is fabulous because she is fearless! She is not intimidated by barking or negative dog behavior. She just the only person that I have ever seen with this attitude. As a result, I know she will always take care of my dogs no matter what. I unfortunately didn't leave a review in time for the week around the Fourth of July. We are happy to have someone like Meaghan.

Jill is a fantastic caretaker. My dog gets excited whenever she sees her and Bruce (her rescue pup). She is very responsive and timely when it comes to communication, and she is very thorough making sure all needs are met for our pup. Can not recommend her enough!

I had plans fall through with late notice and needed a few days of dog walks for my 7mo puppy who is going through his second fear phase. Plus, there wasn’t time to meet Kendall ahead of time, or even be there when she met him for the first time. She did an AWESOME job easing in with my pup and getting his trust so quickly, and the second day he was already excited waiting for her return. Feeling so relieved and grateful for her, and this first experience with Rover in general.

Christine was reliable, punctual, and easy to communicate with. She was always professional and kept me informed when needed. I appreciated her help walking Simba, and the experience was smooth and dependable. I would recommend Christine to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker.

Jennifer has been walking our dog Leo on a regular Tuesday/Thursday schedule (mornings and afternoons), and she’s been fantastic. She’s extremely dependable and always communicates well in advance if there’s ever a schedule change. I feel completely comfortable having her care for Leo. What really stands out is how attentive she is — when Leo got sick, Jennifer noticed right away and alerted me immediately so I could get him to the vet. That kind of attentiveness and care goes well beyond just walking the dog. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable dog walker!

My dog stayed with me for a few months and because of my job, it's hard for me to predict when I will need a dog walker in advance. Despite my many last minute asks, Edward K. helped me by taking care of Oreo. His communication was great. The pictures he sent indicated that Oreo really liked him and had a great walk each time. Most importantly when I got home I could tell that Oreo's walk with Edward made him more peaceful and settled during my long days away from him. Oreo is going back to live with his family in Ohio for a season but I just wanted to thank Edward publically for helping out in this really meaningful way!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
