About: I'm an animal lover who enjoys making new furry friends! I have always lived with cats and currently own 3. I'm skilled at giving cats medications and trimming their nails if those are services which interest you. My dog experience includes taking care of dozens of puppers and volunteering at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (PRC). I also have experience caring for less common pets such as chinchillas, snakes, and turtles (and plants!) Don't just take my word for it, check out reviews from past pet owners. Shoot me a message if you'd like to utilize my skills! I work full-time and exclusively from home. I'm flexible with scheduling because I know how life can be. My ideal times for services are early mornings (around 7 am) and early evening (around 5 pm) on weekdays in addition to weekends. I often ride my bike to make my visits. If a zero-carbon drop in appeals to you, let me know and I'll make it a priority :D I can only take care of pets outside of my home because I have a cat who hates dogs and will attack them on sight.
“Leslie was amazing! She was able to walk our pup Hank in a last minutes time crunch. Sent pics and had great communication throughout the service. We will definitely work with Leslie again!”

“Jennifer has been walking our dog Leo on a regular Tuesday/Thursday schedule (mornings and afternoons), and she’s been fantastic. She’s extremely dependable and always communicates well in advance if there’s ever a schedule change. I feel completely comfortable having her care for Leo. What really stands out is how attentive she is — when Leo got sick, Jennifer noticed right away and alerted me immediately so I could get him to the vet. That kind of attentiveness and care goes well beyond just walking the dog. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable dog walker!”

“Edward took care of my extremely high energy lab/beagle mix for a weekend and was so great! He’s tough to walk because of all his energy and it was my first time leaving him alone overnight so I was apprehensive to leave him at all, but Edward put my mind at ease and I was able to enjoy my trip!”

“Anna did great with Indy. She met him before his walk which made both of us comfortable. Each day Anna walked him I came home to a relaxed and happy golden retriever. Definitely recommend her and will request her again.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals practically my whole life! I started taking care of my birds back in 3rd grade, and as I got older, I became the go-to person in my neighborhood for watching everyone’s dogs and cats. Caring for animals is truly second nature to me I understand their needs, moods, and how much love and attention they deserve. Now that I have a cat of my own, I completely understand the worries that come with leaving your pet in someone else’s care. That’s why I treat every fur (or feathered!) baby like my own with patience, warmth, and plenty of cuddles. You can always count on me to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of time to focus on your fur babies! 🐾 I’m available anytime after 3–4 PM on weekdays and most weekends, except Tuesdays when I have college classes. take safety seriously from double-checking doors and leashes to keeping routines consistent. I make sure your pets feel at home, whether in your space or mine. I also love keeping pet parents updated with pictures and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and cared for!
About: I have been taking care of dogs in many environments including Rover, shelters, and veterinary medicine. Currently, I am a veterinary assistant at a pet hospital so I have experience administering medications and understand some basics of pet health and pet body language. I am comfortable walking long distances and doing enrichment activities. I have also always been surrounded by dogs and cats in my personal life as my family has had one or both almost always in the house. I want to provide the best care to all animals and treat them like they are my own! I do not currently have a consistent schedule, so I am available in a pinch if your regular sitter is not. However, at the time I cannot provided consistent service. I would monitor pets at all times in a client's home to protect their safety if I am pet sitting. I will ensure stress-free environments for the pet's comfort.
“Nikky did an outstanding job walking my two pets. She's patient, especially with one of my dogs who suffers from anxiety during walks. Looking forward to booking with her again.”

“Maeghan has been so great to work with, and Tiger took to her right away! I appreciate her responsiveness and flexibility, especially with the strange weather recently.”

“Carole was great! Arrived on time, my dog was excited to see her and they had a good wander around the neighborhood. She took time with him during the meet and greet to get to know him as he can be anxious. All went well. Plan to book reoccurring walks with Carole!”

About: I love animals of all kind! I had pets growing up and as an adult. I have also done a lot of pet sitting for my family and friends. I have also done many "Sniff Abouts" for the local animal shelter. I have experience with senior dogs and dogs of all sizes. Though I've never owned a cat, I have loved the times I get to pet sit them as well. I'll treat your fur baby like part of the family! I'm a stay at home mom with a husband who works from home so my schedule is very open. I'm very flexible and can work around most anything. We treat our own pets like members of our family and I'll do the same for yours. Our pets are special and deserve the absolute best care!
“Top of the charts, look no farther, this is your guy for any service he provides. We will 100% work with Alan again and will recommend him to our family/friends that could use his services. Alan is super professional, always on-time and did right by our dog. Alan walked our dog 2-3 times a week over a period of a few months. Over the months that passed, he was always flexible if needed on my end, was quick to respond to messages and is just a good person. Our dog can overheat pretty easy and one day while waiting for our boy to get back I saw Alan carrying him in his arms up the street. He didnt have to do what he did, but he forever indebted himself to us due to that act of profound kindness. Thank you my friend for helping take care of our boy, all the best to you!!”

About: I've had dogs around me all my life. I absolutely love them and I'm usually THAT GUY in the group who will stop and pet a dog they see across the street. I have experience with many different types of dogs, from the ones that will be friendly to anyone they meet to the ones that take a little bit more time to get comfortable with strangers. Either way, I will find a way to become a dog's best friend. I've had to take care of both old and young dogs and super energetic ones. I don't mind however long a walk whether it's 5 minutes or an hour. My two siblings both love dogs as well and are just as qualified as me when it comes to taking care of them.
“Franky has been walking my 57 lb, 12 year old boxer/lab mix for a week now and I’m very pleased. He asked good questions at our meet n greet before the first walk and is taking excellent care of my girl. He’s super nice and clearly loves dogs and knows how to treat them well. 5 stars.”
About: I've had a dog in my home my entire life, and am always the one my friends/family turn to if they need someone to look after their pets. I have also fostered multiple dogs with leash reactivity, and have had some 1-1 work with an R+ (positive reinforcement) trainer to ensure pups can have the best experience out and about in the world while still getting their sniffs and exercise in. I occasionally run outside so I can offer to run with your pup(s) 1-2 times a week if you'd like, and I live 5 minutes away from Baron Cameron park if you like for them to play with other pups during the day at a dog park as well. Or of course we can just snuggle most of the day while I work from home. Well either way there will be lots of snuggles and pets... My last dog passed away in 2025 after a year long battle with cancer, so I have no problem giving medicine and making sure we stay on a strict schedule with food/medicine if that is what your dog needs. I look forward to becoming your pup's new best friend! I work part-time from home. I'm available for day-sitting while you're at work or overnight boarding when you're out of town. I'm typically up by 7:30, have a fenced in backyard, go on walks/runs throughout the day and love going to the dog park if your pup enjoys it! I have a 6 foot fence in my backyard that your pup can play around in. Take 2-3 x 25 minute walks around the neighborhood throughout the day and can occasionally go for 30-60 minute jogs if your pup enjoys more exercise (1-2/week)
About: We only take hypo-allergenic dogs. We have a great backyard and love going for walks. We have three kids who love dogs. We also have two pups that love to play too! Enjoy taking pups for morning and afternoon walks and letting dogs out to play in backyard anytime. My kids enjoy playing with pups when they get home from school. We are a smoke free, clean and eager to play with an additional pup. We only take hyper-allergenic dogs and are firm on this. So please don’t choose us if you don’t have these kind of dogs.

Claire has been wonderful to work with! She came by the day before for a site visit to meet my dog, which I really appreciated. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions, learn about my dog’s routine, and make sure she understood his needs. Communication has been excellent from the start, and she’s been incredibly flexible and accommodating. Her professionalism and attention to detail gave me peace of mind, and I feel confident knowing my dog will be in great hands. I’m looking forward to using her dog walking services and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker. Thanks, Claire! 🐾😊

Candace did an amazing job walking Bruno and Oliver over Memorial Day weekend. Our dogs are definitely not the easiest walkers, but she was patient, attentive, and handled both of them really well. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were getting the care and attention they needed. We’ll definitely be booking Candace again in the future.

My dog stayed with me for a few months and because of my job, it's hard for me to predict when I will need a dog walker in advance. Despite my many last minute asks, Edward K. helped me by taking care of Oreo. His communication was great. The pictures he sent indicated that Oreo really liked him and had a great walk each time. Most importantly when I got home I could tell that Oreo's walk with Edward made him more peaceful and settled during my long days away from him. Oreo is going back to live with his family in Ohio for a season but I just wanted to thank Edward publically for helping out in this really meaningful way!

Anna is an amazing dog walker. She can handle big dogs like my German Shepherd. She’s always super communicative and is willing to accommodate to any special requests you might have. You can definitely trust your loved one with her — could not recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
