About: I’m a warm, friendly, and dependable pet sitter who truly enjoys spending time with animals. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was young, and friends, family, and neighbors regularly trust me with their pets. I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for—whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just extra attention and cuddles. I have open availability during the summer (June 13–August 10), which allows me to provide flexible visits, walks, and plenty of attention for your pets throughout the day. During the rest of the year, I’m available before 7:30 AM and after 3:30 PM on weekdays, with additional flexibility on weekends. I’m reliable and committed to making sure your pet gets consistent care, exercise, and love. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fenced yard and two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love having company. I always supervise interactions and make sure every pet feels safe and at ease. I treat every pet like my own and create a calm, loving environment while you’re away.
“Our pet Buddy takes time to meet new people. But when Buddy met Carl for the first time, he sniffed Carl and instantly connected with him and enjoyed Carl’s company. The next time we are in need of a pet sitter, we will definitely call Carl again.”
“Colleen is a fantastic sitter. A true animal lover. She is detail oriented and has great communication. I appreciate the photos and updates and her going above and beyond. Pancake took to her immediately and I will definitely book her again.”

“We have used Anna for drop-in visits and dog walks. Amazing pet sitter! Punctual, polite, and great with giving me updates and photos. My dog and cat both seem to like Anna a lot. Will continue to use and recommend!”

“LaurieBeth did an amazing job with my two 20-pound dogs. Her care was only exceeded by her communication through Rover. I was incredibly lucky to find a caregiver like LaurieBeth on short notice. I was able to relax and enjoy a last-minute trip. I did not worry about my pups once. They were in great hands. I would hire LaurieBeth and plan to!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a kid, starting with our two family dogs, Snuggles and Peanut! Peanut was a puppy when we got her and I learned a lot about training from that experience. Both our dogs lived good long lives and required a lot of senior care near the end. I’ve also taken care of dogs and cats for friends and coworkers in the last several years when they go on vacation. I love our furry friends and being outside, something we usually have in common! I work full-time in-person Monday through Friday. I am available for pet sitting after work and can do overnight stays but would not be available during the day on weekdays. On weekends, I have a lot of availability and the longest pets would be left alone is 4-5 hours. I live in an apartment and unfortunately cannot host your pet at my home but would be thrilled to keep your furry friend company in your home! I am a very reliable and responsible person and have been at my full-time job for the last six years. My friends and coworkers trust me with their pets and know that I will communicate with them frequently and love on their pets just like they do!
About: I grew up with pets in my household, so I absolutely adore animals and have been taking care of them since I was a child. Additionally, for the last several years, I have taken care of my friends and neighbors pets. I work full-time; my schedule can vary slightly, but typically I work 7:30-3:30 Monday-Friday in McLean. I am available after those times, on the weekends, and over holidays! Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special care instructions so they feel secure and well cared for. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while maintaining a calm, clean, and safe environment. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care that I would give my own.
“Erin did an amazing job taking care of our two cats. She followed our instructions closely and the cats loved hanging out with her and warmed up to her really fast. It’s so nice to come back home seeing the place so tidy and cats so content. Thank you, Erin!”

I currently work 12 hour shifts at the hospital from 7am to 7pm only 3 days a week. These days are typically Sunday-Tuesday as I make my own schedule. With having four days off, I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I can board any time during the week, especially with my weekends being open. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where your furry family member can feel at ease. Whether your dog enjoys playtime or leisurely walks, they'll have plenty of opportunities to stay active. I always introduce pets thoughtfully and monitor interactions to help ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect your pet's established routine and environment. I'll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special requests, so your pet receives consistent, loving care while you're away.

“Paige was great. She sent good feedback about how our little one was doing while we were gone. She spent time with her and sent some great photos. We would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”

“Nikki was great! She was able to stop by fairly last minute to let our dog out for a short walk. She was also kind enough to come over for a short meet-and-greet beforehand so that our dog would be familiar with her. If another time comes where we need a drop-in sitter, we’ll absolutely be using Nikki again!”
“Shauna was fantastic! She really set my mind at ease when taking care of Stella while I was away. She was always very prompt and caring. She even took the time to wash out her food bowls so I appreciated that also. I will definitely be asking her if she can pet sit again in the future!”

About: I've had dogs around me all my life. I absolutely love them and I'm usually THAT GUY in the group who will stop and pet a dog they see across the street. I have experience with many different types of dogs, from the ones that will be friendly to anyone they meet to the ones that take a little bit more time to get comfortable with strangers. Either way, I will find a way to become a dog's best friend. I've had to take care of both old and young dogs and super energetic ones. I don't mind however long a walk whether it's 5 minutes or an hour. My two siblings both love dogs as well and are just as qualified as me when it comes to taking care of them.
“Highly recommend booking with Annika! She is super responsive and kind, and went above and beyond for our bunny while we were out of town. She provided plenty of photo / text updates so we always felt like our bunny was in good hands. Thanks Annika!!!”

“Dyanna was absolutely incredible with Maverick! It was my first time being away from him and she was sensitive to that and sent multiple updates and pictures of my dude. Would 100% recommend Dyanna to anyone in need!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for my whole life and have had pets ranging from small tree frogs to hyperactive labradors! I currently have two cats named Fancy and Mittens and an elderly special-needs dog named Coco. I’m pursuing my real estate license and a business degree at the moment, but in my free time I like to volunteer for any opportunity within my grasp (especially if it involves animals :) I’m free basically every afternoon during the week except for Tuesdays! I do have a part time job on the weekends, so I most likely won’t be available on those days. My cats are a bit skittish around new animals, so I wouldn’t like to put them through any distress by bringing in unknown animals. I would love to care for pets in a clients home though! I can be a bit of a neat freak especially when it comes to other peoples homes, so coming home to a messy house is completely out of the question! I have also pet sat for multiple neighbors and family friends. I’d like to believe that if there was a review system with them I’d get 5 stars!!

“Cinders and Pepper enjoyed their time with Nitin! He showered them with affection and sent pictures and videos of them snuggling up to him on each visit. Nitin also followed care and feeding instructions. I would book him again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Herndon
Kendall is my puppy's favorite Rover! She always communicates promptly and professionally, and I never have any doubts that my puppy is safe and enjoying her time with Kendall, and learning new skills too. I always look forward to seeing the great photos that she takes of my dog when she visits!

Katherine is a compassionate and conscientious sitter. My two dogs love seeing her and trust her. She makes an extra effort to follow instructions and to inquire with us if there are any concerns about the dogs. We have older dogs, and I had left a note about certain issues she might observe with one of the dogs. During visits, she attended to my dog with great care and monitored him closely to make sure he was fine before leaving from visits. She provides exceptional care, and we highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
