“Kristen is incredible! She takes such good care of the pups, is always responsive, and leaves a great impression on the pups every time she visits. We will absolutely be booking with Kristen in the future.”

“Alexa took such great care of my cat while I was away. I loved how I could rely on how punctual her check-ins were and how consistently she communicated. It really helped to make me feel at ease and know my cat was in great hands. My cat was very spoiled by all of the affection she got and I know she can’t wait to see Alexa again!”

“Jennifer and her son took great care of my senior mini poodle over the holidays. He needed a little extra attention and new meds and they made sure he got all his meds and extra love. She sent me pics and videos regularly and that really helped me relax a little through my travels. So grateful to have found someone I can trust my baby with.”

About: I am a dog lover! I grew up with golden retrievers at home and absolutely love all kinds of dogs. Although I don't have any dogs right now, I love being around animals and would love to spend time taking care of your dog! I am currently working in the mornings, so I have a lot of free time and flexibility in the afternoons to take care of your dog! I take good care of your dog(s) and give them lots of love! I can spend good quality time with them during the day and make sure they have a fun time outside
About: I am on a short career break while waiting for a clearance to come through to start my new job. Looking to fill my days with some furry friends while I wait! I have always been a dog lover and have lots of experience with doodles specifically but love all dogs. I have one pup (Lulu, 2 yr old 35lb mini Bernedoodle) that loves everyone and everything. Currently between jobs and at home most of the day! I am up and at it early during the week either on runs or at the gym. I have a small fenced in yard and live a few steps from 3 of the Reston trail entrances! I am very active and love to go on walks with my dog.
About: I’m a great listener, I know every pet is unique & I want them to be comfortable. We had a pitbull for 14 years who passed and now looking for other pets to love on. I work a full time job but I’m remote Monday and Friday and off evenings 7pm and weekends. For weekends, I prefer a few days heads up. I have a clean and safe home, big yard (not fully fenced) , lots of trails near me. I also don’t mind staying in other peoples homes.
“Melinda was very easy and pleasant to work with from start to finish. We felt very comfortable having our dog in her care which made for a stress-free vacation for us. We could tell from the pictures Melinda took that our girl was happy and and from the notes that she was well cared for. Would happily hire Melinda again.”

“Paige was great. She sent good feedback about how our little one was doing while we were gone. She spent time with her and sent some great photos. We would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”

“I’m so happy we found Ed to take care of our cats while away. I always feel so good knowing the babies are getting taking care of in their own home! He always sends photos so I don’t miss them too much and so I know things are being taken care of. We have used him a couple times now and will continue to do so!”

About: As someone who works remotely, I'm fortunate to have the flexibility to be available whenever your pup needs attention, whether it's for a walk in the park, some playtime, or just a reassuring presence while you're away. Your dog's well-being and happiness are my top priorities, and I look forward to providing them with the love and care they deserve during our time together. I’m very flexible! I work remotely so I can care for your pet at any time, anywhere. Since I am home all day I have plenty of time to tend for your pet! I live in a pet friendly apartment with a dog park and dog spa in my building! I have no problem hosting your pup at my space.
“Nikky always takes amazing care of my Toby and I feel relieved every time I leave him in her care. She is really sweet with him and he started loving on her right away. I definitely recommend Nikky. She is a true animal lover .”

About: I have 16 years of experience caring for multiple family dogs including 1 collie mix, 2 Siberian Huskies, 1 German Shepherd and 1 Corgi. As a military family we have had the opportunity to dog sit many times at past locations. We decided to join Rover as a way to do something that the whole family enjoys and to expose my children (14 year old daughter and 10 year old son) to a greater responsibility through something they love a lot... dogs! We currently have a dog named Maggie but due to her past (she's adopted), she doesn't always do well with other dogs so I offer drop in care or dog walking outside of my home. I may bring my daughter with me to drop in to check on your pets or walk them which will give your dog(s) even more attention, if that's something you're comfortable with. If not, no worries at all! I look forward to helping out, as needed! The availability didn't allow me to reflect, but I can only do drop-in checks and walks on weekday evenings after 6 PM ideally or extremely early prior to 6 AM, but weekends are more flexible to allow up to 3 drop-in checks and/or walks, as needed. I'd follow your instructions to the smallest detail when it comes to caring for your loved one and will also take pictures and videos to ensure you are being kept updated as much as possible or as much as desired.

About: I’ve been caring for animals practically my whole life! I started taking care of my birds back in 3rd grade, and as I got older, I became the go-to person in my neighborhood for watching everyone’s dogs and cats. Caring for animals is truly second nature to me I understand their needs, moods, and how much love and attention they deserve. Now that I have a cat of my own, I completely understand the worries that come with leaving your pet in someone else’s care. That’s why I treat every fur (or feathered!) baby like my own with patience, warmth, and plenty of cuddles. You can always count on me to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of time to focus on your fur babies! 🐾 I’m available anytime after 3–4 PM on weekdays and most weekends, except Tuesdays when I have college classes. take safety seriously from double-checking doors and leashes to keeping routines consistent. I make sure your pets feel at home, whether in your space or mine. I also love keeping pet parents updated with pictures and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and cared for!

Maeghan took great care of our 17-year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle, Calli, and as always, she was wonderful. We received updates after every visit, which gave us peace of mind knowing Calli was in good hands and well cared for. We truly appreciate Maeghan's attention and care and look forward to working with her again.

Jenn is great!! we have three big dogs and all of them love her. One of my dogs can be a little finicky as a protective dominant dog (y’all know what I mean), and he loves her. She fed them and let them out a couples times. I came home and they were happy babes. Thank you Jenn!

Met Delaney for a meet-n-greet before house sitting request later on in month. She's great...very personable, asked questions about routines with my dog etc. My dog seemed very much at-ease with her instantly. I'll definitely continue to request her services again based on this first visit!

Kendall is my puppy's favorite Rover! She always communicates promptly and professionally, and I never have any doubts that my puppy is safe and enjoying her time with Kendall, and learning new skills too. I always look forward to seeing the great photos that she takes of my dog when she visits!

Katherine is a compassionate and conscientious sitter. My two dogs love seeing her and trust her. She makes an extra effort to follow instructions and to inquire with us if there are any concerns about the dogs. We have older dogs, and I had left a note about certain issues she might observe with one of the dogs. During visits, she attended to my dog with great care and monitored him closely to make sure he was fine before leaving from visits. She provides exceptional care, and we highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
