About: I’ve been taking care of pets since Middle School! In addition to having many family pets over the years, I have had the opportunity to care for a variety of animals and have had many regulars. I treat each pet as if it’s my own and I take pet care very seriously since I also have my own and understand the importance of the care provided. I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. I have worked with many rescues, large breeds, and many anxiety-ridden dogs. I have administered meds and dealt with heartworm with my rescue. I have had experience w/many special needs & seniors as well. I am currently working full time. This schedule is Tuesday-Friday. Weekday evenings after 5pm are available and Sat, Sun, and Monday are all flexible time-wise I currently have my own dogs so I would not bring animals here. I will treat each client’s home as they prefer and I’m very adept at adapting to different routines and environments.

About: Hi everyone! My name is Courtney, and I’ve lived in Northern Virginia for many years. I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and have always had a passion for caring for animals. My experience includes caring for family pets, pet sitting throughout middle and high school, volunteering with animal rescue organizations, fostering dogs and puppies, working as a doggy daycare attendant, and working as a dog bather at a pet resort. A quick note: I have a wonderful 4-year-old son who may accompany me during house-sitting stays. He has been around dogs his entire life and is very gentle, respectful, and understands how to interact with animals appropriately. He’s never had any issues with dogs and knows to always respect their space and follow my guidance. Of course, I’ll only accept bookings where clients are comfortable with this arrangement, and your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. I work around their routine to ensure they receive consistent care, exercise, companionship, and lots of love while you’re away. My goal is to keep their day as normal and stress-free as possible. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep them on their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care your pet needs. I’ll also make sure your home is respected and kept clean, bring in mail or packages if requested, water plants, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs in my family of all shapes and sizes for years. I love animals and would care for yours as my own! I am currently a student at JMU, studying biology with a minor in pre veterinary sciences! I am on winter break right now and am totally free for the next month! I am strong and athletic, so while walking dogs I would be a good candidate. I also love to play with dogs so if i’m just dropping in I will have fun with them!

About: I’ve always had a dog as a part of my life growing up ever since I was 6. In more recent years, I was the co-pet parent of a dog for roughly 3 years, and I’d like to think he turned out pretty well. I have some decent knowledge and experience when it comes to handling and training dogs, namely by encouraging desired behaviors through positive reinforcement. While my experience may not be the most comprehensive, I’d like to think I more than make up for it with my love for dogs! Some day I’d love to have one of my own, but with my current life schedule and commitments, it’s just not in the cards for me. I’ve recently had the privilege of dipping my toes into fostering pups, which has taught me a lot about caring for a dog by myself. In the meantime, I’m perfectly content walking, caring for, and loving your dog just as if it was my own! I currently work full time 9-5 (generally) M-F, but I do have periods of flexibility when I can come walk/pet sit during the day. I’m also able to take some days of the week remote. I do have some after work commitments during the week days, but they’re relatively minimal, flexible, and I’m willing to work with you to find out what works best for you, me, and your pup! I have a fairly good understanding of dog body language and mannerisms and will, under no circumstances, put your dog in any position of discomfort in your home or on our walks. I will be sure to give your dog plenty of attention and playtime, but not to the extent that the dog feels uncomfortable or threatened by me. When it comes to walks, your dog is the boss-it’s their time to sniff, exercise, and do their business while I’m just along to chaperone them. That being said, I’ll make sure to avoid any altercations with other dogs or people by limiting those interactions on walks.
