About: Hey there, fellow dog lovers! 🐾 Are you seeking top-notch care and companionship for your furry friend? Look no further! I'm a dedicated 24-year-old with a passion for pups, working from home and ready to give your dog the time of their life. My mini Labradoodle, trained as my emotional support dog, is the epitome of sweetness and charm. Together, we offer tailored walks, playtime, and plenty of love. Plus, with the convenience of living right across the street from Shirlington Dog Park, your pup will have endless opportunities for fun and socialization. With flexible scheduling and personalized attention, your pup will feel right at home. Pet care is a cornerstone of my daily routine, woven seamlessly into each day. Mornings kick off with a refreshing walk or play session, setting the tone for a day filled with fun and activity. Throughout the day, I make sure to check in on my furry friend, offering companionship and care as needed. Whether it's a midday stroll, some playtime at the dog park, or simply cuddling up on the couch, my pet's well-being is always a top priority. In the evenings, we wind down together, enjoying quality time and relaxation. Safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment are paramount when caring for pets, especially in the unique setting of an apartment. In my home, I ensure that all potential hazards are removed or secured, creating a safe space for pets to roam and play.

About: I grew up with a yellow Labrador for 14 years, so caring for dogs has been a constant part of my life. I have experience with daily walks and playtime to vet visits, feeding routines, and the patience that comes with care for both puppies and senior dogs. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs of all sizes and personalities, and will treat your dog like they're my own. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly schedule and is something I can easily prioritize. I currently work part-time as a swim instructor and coach, but my schedule is very flexible outside of that. I'm generally available on weekdays except for 4-6 pm, and I am unavailable Sunday mornings from 9-12:30. Outside of those hours, I have plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and care throughout the day. Since I just graduated college, I have a lot of flexibility right now and enjoy structuring my day around being active and outdoors. I will prioritize keeping your dog's routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I will follow all instructions closely and understand how important familiarity is for pets, so I will aim to maintain their normal environment and habits to help them feel comfortable and secure while you are away.
About: Hi! My name is Jordyn and I am 25 years old. I have had dogs my whole life, and I love them! I have had a Husky and Labrador Retriever, a Rottweiller, and I currently have a Goldendoodle that I have cared for since she was a puppy. I have taken care of many dogs ranging from Papillions to Great Danes. I love interacting with all breeds of dogs. I am available Thursday through Sunday. I would be happy to care for your dog! I work a hybrid schedule and will typically be available Thursday through Sunday to do walks, house sit, or do drop in visits for your pet. I always make sure doors and other entrances are closed and locked upon entry and exit. Your pet will always have food and water according to owner instructions.

Although, I might be taking care of multiple dogs at a time which would fill up my schedule but that can be worked around. I'll communicate with you to get your dog's needs and personality/behavior of your dog. I am always on time. I respect the dog's boundaries to make sure they are calm with me in their space. I'll send updates and pictures of your dog while you're away.

“Ashley has been so good to Dozer. She is his weekly companion for lunch time walks. She is quick to respond and communicates when she has a scheduling conflict. We have enjoyed Dozer's pics for every walk. Thank you Ashley!”

“Lesley did an amazing job watching my dog. She left detailed notes and lots of fun pictures. She even got a Christmas gift of tennis balls and cookies! Absolutely above and beyond!”

“Pam took care of our cats on short notice and did a wonderful job. She provided detailed updates with multiple pictures. One of our cats has asthma and she also managed the inhaler very well. We highly recommend Pam!”

“Tammy was absolutely wonderful with our two furbabies, Finn and Furb! 🐾😺😸 She took the time to really get to know them and made sure they were comfortable and happy. She was punctual, friendly, she played with them and genuinely cared for them like they were her own during her drop ins. We felt so at ease knowing they were in her hands. Tammy was also great at calming my fears in leaving them for a week for the first time. I feel like I’ve known Tammy all these years. She is so personable! We will definitely be booking with Tammy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! ❤️”

About: My family got our first and only dog in 2019, a jack Russel Chihuahua named Sadie. She was very energetic despite her age and loved attention, people and especially children. I'm not as good at grooming dogs as I am cats (ie nail trimming) but I can bathe and brush any dog's teeth or coat. Every day I care for my 2 cats and bearded dragon. I'm unemployed at this time so I have all the time in the world to care for your pets. Some may say that the hardest part about owning a cat is their claws but I've trimmed even the most unruly kitties nails in my time. Even my friends dog Teddy probably loves me more than her 😂
“Best experience I have had on ROVER for Kona. Esther was VERY professional and responsive and really took care of Kona. Will 100% be my first go to here on out needing drop in visits”

“Sydney was great! We booked last minute and were really relieved she was able to drop in on our kitties while we were away. She communicated well and made us feel like we didn’t have to worry. I realized I missed a few things in my instructions but she was able to roll with it and take care of everything. We really appreciated her help and would be happy to book with her again.”

About: I have 1 year of hands-on pet care experience, working with non-profit organizations, adoption agencies, and volunteering in animal centers. I’ve cared for pets of all sizes and temperaments, from playful puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience and attention. My experience includes walking, feeding, basic training reinforcement, and providing a safe, loving environment where pets feel at home. On weekends, my days are centered around the pets I care for. I start mornings with fresh walks or playtime at the nearby dog park to help them burn off energy and start the day happy. If you're looking for someone who is patient, knowledgeable, and truly cares about your dog, I can't recommend Esther enough! We have a German Shepherd who can be reactive, and Esther went above and beyond to make sure she felt safe and comfortable. She even offered meet-and-greets before our scheduled vacation, which gave both us and our dog the chance to get to know her and build trust. Our dog absolutely adores Esther, and it was clear from the start that she was in great hands. During our trip, Esther sent regular updates with photos and detailed summaries of each visit, which gave us so much peace of mind. Knowing our dog was happy and well cared for made it so much easier to relax while we were away. This was our first Rover experience, and it exceeded all of our expectations. We will definitely be booking with Esther again and highly recommend her to anyone, especially those with reactive dogs!

Kelley was absolutely wonderful with Lucy! She did drop-in visits for us and made the entire experience so easy and stress-free. Kelley was reliable, communicative, and took such great care of Lucy while we were away. We really appreciated the updates and photos after each visit—they gave us so much peace of mind knowing Lucy was happy and being well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book Kelley again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dependable Rover sitter!

Skylar is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and responsible, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and reliable pet sitter or dog walker. She took great care of our dog. We would not hesitate to request Skylar again in the future. Great experience!

Diego is mine and Phoenix‘s favorite dog walker. He’s very reliable, trustworthy, and competent at having healthy relationships with dogs. Phoenix enjoys his time with Diego. That’s very important to me, especially knowing that I have to be gone for days at a time. This kind of peace of mind is priceless. We’re grateful to have Diego on our team.

Nice job with our pet visits. She def cares about animals as she rescued an injured bird that had flown into our glass door minutes before we left for the airport. Our home was the way we left it, and she sent plenty of pics to ease our worries about leaving them

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
