“Brittany was awesome! She made us feel so at ease and was great with our cat. We could tell our girl was happy to have her visits, too - she always came out to play and cuddle.”

“Valerie was great with our cat, Olivia. She provided detailed updates, followed our care instructions, and took care of an issue with the automatic litter box for us. Olivia is a little cranky, but Valerie navigated her “cattitude” with ease.”

About: I've taken care of animals for several years, including my volunteer work at the Loudoun County animal shelter and the several trainings I've went through there. I've been trained to take care of several animals fear free, including rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs. I also attend Michigan State on the pre-veterinary track! I'd love to meet your furry friends and treat them like my own! I work part-time and attend school during the fall and spring but I'd love to take care of your pets during the summer and winter when I'm home! I can crate dogs, ensure theyre walking in safe weather conditions, clean any messes or accidents that happen, and make sure both myself and your pets are safe.
“Nicole is God’s gift to dogs. Not only does she have a passion for dogs, but she is incredibly reliable, thorough, and trustworthy. This was my very first time leaving my new dog home alone. I was so worried about him. Meeting Nicole put me and him instantly at ease so I could then focus on my work trip. She came to my house as planned, walked, Fed and spent some quality time with my dog. Having the pictures and the detailed report of her visit put me at ease 500 miles from home. I strongly recommend Nicole for all your dog care needs!”

“Kayla is fantastic! She is great to work with and truly understood that Marley, at the heart of it all, just needed someone to hang out and cuddle with him more than doing a bunch of to do items. He seems happy and the photos were a nice touch!”

About: Hi! My name is Jordyn and I am 25 years old. I have had dogs my whole life, and I love them! I have had a Husky and Labrador Retriever, a Rottweiller, and I currently have a Goldendoodle that I have cared for since she was a puppy. I used to dog sit/walk for friends and family members, and have multiple years of experience on Rover. Now I hope to help take care of your dog too! I have taken care of many dogs ranging from Papillions to Great Danes. I love interacting with all breeds of dogs. I am available Thursday through Sunday. I would be happy to care for your dog! I work a hybrid schedule and will typically be available Thursday through Sunday to do walks, house sit, or do drop in visits for your pet. I always make sure doors and other entrances are closed and locked upon entry and exit. Your pet will always have food and water according to owner instructions.

“Sydney was great! We booked last minute and were really relieved she was able to drop in on our kitties while we were away. She communicated well and made us feel like we didn’t have to worry. I realized I missed a few things in my instructions but she was able to roll with it and take care of everything. We really appreciated her help and would be happy to book with her again.”

“Mercedez was absolutely wonderful with our terrible trio of cats. She dealt easily with the medical needs of our senior cat, including giving fluids several times. She also managed to coax out Manny, who doesn't like change and spooks easily, and get him to not only be in the same room but actually let her pet him. Moe was his usual attention-seeking self and she kept him happy too. Mercedez was great with communication and providing pictures the entire time we were gone. I strongly recommend her as a pet sitter and will certainly ask her to watch the cats again.”

“Huckleberry was so excited to see Corinne after our meet and greet! Corinne was kind to Huck and gave him extra water and pets after his second walk of the day! Corinne genuinely likes animals and she was kind enough to accommodate my ever-changing schedule. Thanks Corinne !”

“Allie was so attentive and wonderful to my cat who needs special medication! She went above and beyond to learn the administration of it and was able give me prompt updates as well! Always an easy feeling when I book her to watch my cat!”

“Sofia was great with communicating about the cats and how they were behaving and gave them lots of love and attention. Even got our Chloe out and investigating while she was here!”

“Emma is so great! I asked her day-of if she would be able to quickly meet my dogs to then pet-sit for them the day after, and she confirmed! She’s super personable, and sent a lot of pictures. She went above-and-beyond. Thank you, Emma!”

“Esther was wonderful with our two cats, one of whom needs medication. She followed the instructions on their special food and kitty-preferences and we know they were in good hands while we were away. She sent thorough updates and communications. I would definitely love to have her take care of our girls again and would highly recommend her!”
“Jaida was exceptional. She is warm and professional. She took care of my cat Louie the way I wanted, and she took some super incredible pictures of Louie too!! I will definitely reach out to her again!”

“Skylar is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and responsible, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and reliable pet sitter or dog walker. She took great care of our dog. We would not hesitate to request Skylar again in the future. Great experience!”

“So grateful for Karisa's excellent care. I booked her already twice and my cat(s) was/were in great hands. She was punctual and reliable, and was able to give my cat her medication. She sent me daily updates and photos, which helped ease my mind while I was away. I'll definitely be using her services again.”

Kelsey is the best! She always provides loads of photos and a detailed description with each visit. It’s relieving knowing our two cats are being well-taken care of while we’re away. This was the second time she watched our boys and they remembered her friendly presence immediately. She made sure to give them each tons of playtime, love, and treats! Outside of cat care, she took great care of our home as well. We would highly recommend Kelsey to anyone looking for a great cat sitter in the area!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
