“Our pet Buddy takes time to meet new people. But when Buddy met Carl for the first time, he sniffed Carl and instantly connected with him and enjoyed Carl’s company. The next time we are in need of a pet sitter, we will definitely call Carl again.”
About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a kid, starting with our two family dogs, Snuggles and Peanut! Peanut was a puppy when we got her and I learned a lot about training from that experience. Both our dogs lived good long lives and required a lot of senior care near the end. I’ve also taken care of dogs and cats for friends and coworkers in the last several years when they go on vacation. I love our furry friends and being outside, something we usually have in common! I work full-time in-person Monday through Friday. I am available for pet sitting after work and can do overnight stays but would not be available during the day on weekdays. On weekends, I have a lot of availability and the longest pets would be left alone is 4-5 hours. I live in an apartment and unfortunately cannot host your pet at my home but would be thrilled to keep your furry friend company in your home! I am a very reliable and responsible person and have been at my full-time job for the last six years. My friends and coworkers trust me with their pets and know that I will communicate with them frequently and love on their pets just like they do!
“Jake was incredible with my two cats while I was traveling for work. He was communicative, attentive, and sent thoughtful updates. I came home to two happy, relaxed cats and couldn’t recommend him more highly!”
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and grew up in a family that had more pets than people! Over the years, I’ve cared for cats, dogs, parakeets, fish, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs, and more! I regularly pet sit for neighbors and friends. I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care for all animals! I work part time so I have plenty of time to play with your animal! I'm available on weekends and can dedicate plenty of time to walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision!
About: We are a dependable mother–daughter pet sitting team with 30 years of combined pet care and training experience. We have cared for a wide variety of animals, including small and large dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds, fish, and other pets. We have puppy training experience and know how to gently reinforce good habits, routines, and leash manners -- through TLC and patience, gentle handling and understanding that every pet has its own personality, pace, and needs. We are energetic pet owners ourselves and are comfortable exercising pets in both urban and suburban settings. We treat every pet with the same loving care, attention, and affection we give our own. So give us a call if you need trusted, reliable, or flexible pet-sitting, even on short notice! Mom is primary pet sitter, with daughter often assisting. We are currently working flexible hours and one of us is out of school for the summer, so we have plenty of time and flexibility to play with your pups! We are experienced dog walkers comfortable caring for pets in urban, suburban, park, and country settings. Whether your dog enjoys neighborhood walks, park outings, or a calmer pace, we adjust to each pet’s personality, energy level, and routine. For pet sitting in our home, we have a gated kitchen area where pets can stay safely with us, as well as a fenced patio where they can get fresh air and companionship. We can also crate your pet if that is part of their normal routine or helps them feel secure.
“Manasa is so sweet and thorough in caring for my babies! She asked questions before, during, and after to ensure all their needs (and mine) were met. She promptly notified me when they were not on their best behavior. The picture updated really provided me with a peace of mind and I’ve already booked her for my next pet care. Thank you again so much for everything!”

About: Hello! I’m Catalina. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I love creating a mix of adventure and comfort for them, whether it’s a hike, a long walk, or a relaxing movie night afterwards. My building has a great dog park with lots of toys, so pups get plenty of space and stimulation. I’m available on weekends and always make sure every dog in my care feels safe, happy, and loved. Your baby will get lots of attention, playtime, and cuddles with me! IG: happ_ypawspetsitting I have availability in the afternoons and weekends. During the weekend I can spend the whole day with them and also at night or dog care. I don’t have dogs or cats in my home , so it will be easy if someone needs me to stay at my place with their dog/cat.
About: I have always been a dog and cat lover but haven't had my own until after I came to America. My first job as a nanny had 3 dogs and cat and I was in heaven 😊. I kept doing a drop in visits when needed even after I left that job after 2 years. I played with them, cleaned after them, when Daisy was in heat I was changing her pads, taking them to the vet and I administered medication, bathing and brushing them. Finally in 2000 me and my husband bought our own condo and adopted cat Robin and dog Mackenzie. We are now on our third dog and fourth one (adopted April 2024) after we lost Baxter at 15 in 2022. They were all adopted from Friends of homeless animals. Since I got on Rover I was very happy to host a whole bunch of awesome pups in summer 2023. I was also house sitting a senior pup in the past 2 years on multiple extended weekends and a week long trip. Then I have a few clients that I walk their pups for whenever they need me. Plus walking my dogs Boromir and Panda of course. I can work any day and early evening, I highly prefer cold and freezing temperatures for dog walking. The only problem I see is that I don't have my own car (I didn't need it anymore after I stopped working) so my radius is pretty small. If you would like to pay for my transportation to and from your home then my radius can get to 5 miles. My dog is very dog friendly and will be happy to play with dogs if your pup wants to play. He always adjusts to the dog he is with. I always clean up their 💩. I can take your pup for long walk around the lake. It's their time so I let them sniff as much as they want. I'm very dependable and on time. I worked as a nanny for 6 years so taking care of pets is just like taking care of children. I can provide a lot of personal attention to each VIP (very important pup). Cuddles are my priority! So if your dog loves cuddles that is what it will get. I had a few pups who stayed with us and they wanted to cuddle all day and night. If I will be staying in your place I can happily provide it 😍🐕 There will be minimal disturbance while I'm staying in your place. All I need is place to sleep and read and heat up my food. I never go to your private places as I just wouldn't be comfortable. Once my Boromir went to our host's bedroom and I had to go get him as he didn't want to leave. So now I bring a gate with me so my pups wouldn't go where they don't need to go.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for animals of all sizes and personalities. I have experience with feeding, walking, playing, giving attention, and keeping pets comfortable while their owners are away. I have also owned cats in the past and have experience cat sitting as well. I treat every pet like they are my own and understand how important it is to have someone reliable, patient, and caring looking after your furry family member. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I enjoy keeping pets active, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away. I live in a comfortable bottom-floor apartment with easy access to walking trails and a nearby dog park that my own dog and I enjoy daily. I have one large, friendly dog who loves having new companions. While my yard is not fenced, I always prioritize safety with supervised outdoor time, secure leashes, and plenty of exercise through walks and play. I treat every pet as part of my routine and make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and at home.
About: I am on a short career break while waiting for a clearance to come through to start my new job. Looking to fill my days with some furry friends while I wait! I have always been a dog lover and have lots of experience with doodles specifically but love all dogs. I have one pup (Lulu, 2 yr old 35lb mini Bernedoodle) that loves everyone and everything. Currently between jobs and at home most of the day! I am up and at it early during the week either on runs or at the gym. I have a small fenced in yard and live a few steps from 3 of the Reston trail entrances! I am very active and love to go on walks with my dog.
“I recently entrusted Christina P. with the care of my three beloved cats – Tiger, Apollo, and Ash – for a week, and I couldn't be more impressed with her service. Christina went above and beyond in ensuring the well-being and happiness of my cats. From providing them with regular meals to spending quality playtime with each of them, she showed genuine affection and dedication towards their care. Communication was seamless throughout the entire process. Christina provided regular updates and even sent adorable pictures of my cats. I wholeheartedly recommend Christina P. to anyone in need of a reliable and compassionate caretaker for their animals. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals make her an exceptional choice.”

“Kelly was an absolute pleasure to work with! She accepted my booking on the same day even though it was last minute and she even came to meet my boy beforehand. She was super communicative and flexible with times. She sent multiple pictures of my boy after each drop in and my sweet Toro loved her! She definitely treats all pets as if they're her own! Highly recommend her and we'll be using her again in the future!!!?”

“First time using Rover and Erika made us feel right at ease. Detail oriented and willing to go the extra mile. We highly recommend her and will be requesting her services in the future.”

About: I am a life-long pet owner, with a loving cat. I see pets as important members of our families. Their safety and care is my first priority. Previously, I volunteered regularly with Little Buddies Adoption and Humane Society. I since worked at Olde Towne Pet Resort as a pet care associate, and later moved to work with their corporate office. I have a soft spot for shy pets, who need a bit of time and care to feel safe. I am certified in Pet Nutrition through the UC Davis Veterinary program at the University of California, from my time working at PetValu. AVAILABILITY My hours are flexible. I will strive to work around your schedule. MEDICATIONS I have experience helping sick cats, including through oral medication, insulin shots and subcutaneous fluids. If your pet is people-shy, I would love to take the time to get to know them and let them feel safe around me before administering any medications. DOG WALKING I love dogs in all shapes, sizes and temperaments, but have relatively limited experience compared to my extensive work with cats. If you are looking for care for a dog with aggressive tendencies, I would recommend looking for a different sitter. I am currently job searching and pursuing a security + cert. I schedule my job searching and studying around my cat sitting hours, which affords some flexibility. I exclusively care for pets in my clients' homes, as my own cat needs a safe, solo environment. I am respectful of the space, and will spend my time devoted to your particular pets needs (whether that's play, affection, or just side by side coexisting).
“Alan was requested last min. and was still able to accommodate my crazy last min planning. My Nola, is a medium size 8month old pitty. She's stuborn, yet sweet as can be, she feels intittled to belly rubs especially from new faces. Nola, tends to get annoyingly over excited with all new faces. She still has a leash pulling and jumping matter we are adressing in her dog academy training, non of those annoyances seemed to phase Alan one bit. He even came the same day I requested his services to meet Nola (all very last min.). I appreciate his flexibility, time managment, and most importantly communication curiosity (quick response time). I'm a single mother of an autistic little ball of 10yr old hyper sunshine 🌞 ... aswell as a full time Private Care for elderly and sick. Both work and personal life are very demanding. My son has been coming to work with me all last and this summer break. Alan made our summer end better with his services! I was finally able to take my son to Hershey Park, tickets which ive had since April. Bless you Alan! #dogsaver #worththebooking #verypleased #bookagainsoon”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive experience of over 15 years in caring for dogs, alongside my commitment to their physical activity and nutritional well-being. I engage dogs in a variety of activities, such as hiking, backyard playtime, ensuring they are not only physically active but mentally stimulated. During inclement weather, I have numerous dog toys at home to keep them entertained and active indoors. Moreover, I have skills in administering medications such as pills and ear solutions, a requirement that may arise in caring for senior dogs or those with medical conditions. Perhaps what distinguishes me the most is my passion for making healthy dog treats from scratch. I firmly believe in providing dogs with nutritious and healthier food options, and this homemade approach is a testament to that. Additionally, I offer a beautiful, spacious home environment, surrounded by woods and walking trails, providing dogs with an extensive area for exploration and play. My approach to pet care combines both love and professional skills, ensuring your dog would be in the best possible hands. I currently work hybrid and very flexible with timings either late night or early morningsI So I have plenty of time to play with your pup! I also have two gorgeous English cream retriever dogs named Misty (6yrs) and Maya (2yrs) that are super duper calm, playful and very well behaved! I never leave pets un-attended even if it's fenced to make sure they are ok. My home has a beautiful walking trail right behind my backyard! I always make sure their water bowl is full and pay attention to the toys/chewables they put in their mouth so I can act quick in case they choke. If they feel sick, I keep them next to me all the time and they go on my office bed when I'm at work and totally open to taking the pet to the recommended veterinarian if needed and will be in communication with the owner at all times, I wouldn't mind being away from my work for few hours! I’d prefer all communications to be through Rover only and not exchange personal numbers/emails.

Kendall is my puppy's favorite Rover! She always communicates promptly and professionally, and I never have any doubts that my puppy is safe and enjoying her time with Kendall, and learning new skills too. I always look forward to seeing the great photos that she takes of my dog when she visits!

LaurieBeth did an amazing job with my two 20-pound dogs. Her care was only exceeded by her communication through Rover. I was incredibly lucky to find a caregiver like LaurieBeth on short notice. I was able to relax and enjoy a last-minute trip. I did not worry about my pups once. They were in great hands. I would hire LaurieBeth and plan to!

Carolyn went above and beyond helping us with our dog. We needed someone 3x/day due to his many health conditions. He had just started new medicine for congestive failure and I was very nervous about leaving him. Carolyn stayed longer than requested and filled me in regularly so I wouldn’t worry. I highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
