About: I've had a dog in my home my entire life, and am always the one my friends/family turn to if they need someone to look after their pets. I have also fostered multiple dogs with leash reactivity, and have had some 1-1 work with an R+ (positive reinforcement) trainer to ensure pups can have the best experience out and about in the world while still getting their sniffs and exercise in. I occasionally run outside so I can offer to run with your pup(s) 1-2 times a week if you'd like, and I live 5 minutes away from Baron Cameron park if you like for them to play with other pups during the day at a dog park as well. Or of course we can just snuggle most of the day while I work from home. Well either way there will be lots of snuggles and pets... My last dog passed away in 2025 after a year long battle with cancer, so I have no problem giving medicine and making sure we stay on a strict schedule with food/medicine if that is what your dog needs. I look forward to becoming your pup's new best friend! I work part-time from home. I'm available for day-sitting while you're at work or overnight boarding when you're out of town. I'm typically up by 7:30, have a fenced in backyard, go on walks/runs throughout the day and love going to the dog park if your pup enjoys it! I have a 6 foot fence in my backyard that your pup can play around in. Take 2-3 x 25 minute walks around the neighborhood throughout the day and can occasionally go for 30-60 minute jogs if your pup enjoys more exercise (1-2/week)
“Christine was reliable, punctual, and easy to communicate with. She was always professional and kept me informed when needed. I appreciated her help walking Simba, and the experience was smooth and dependable. I would recommend Christine to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker.”

“Franky has been walking my 57 lb, 12 year old boxer/lab mix for a week now and I’m very pleased. He asked good questions at our meet n greet before the first walk and is taking excellent care of my girl. He’s super nice and clearly loves dogs and knows how to treat them well. 5 stars.”
About: I currently work at a dog rescue. I volunteered as a dog washer at the humane society for a year. I pet sat relatives dogs in their home. I know how to respect dogs boundaries. Right now my schedule is somewhat flexible. I am available weekdays and weekends. I am unavailable on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 4pm to 730pm. I am respectful of everyone’s home and treat it how I’d want a pet sitter to treat my own. I know the signs to take it slow with dogs and cats.
“Mary is great. My dog loves her. She takes her for walks twice a week. She is always reliable and sends me detailed descriptions of their adventures on each walk. I highly recommend Mary for any walking services.”

“Maya has been great with my coonhound Stella. She & Maya seemed to bond instantly as Maya has a way with dogs. I'm looking forward to booking her more for the summer, she really cares about your dog. She's an excellent walker!”

“Deb is amazing! Shes been walking my dog, Bryce, for the last few weeks. She’s very responsive to messages, sends updates and pictures, and most importantly she takes great care of my dog while they’re on their walks.”
“Jennifer has been walking our dog Leo on a regular Tuesday/Thursday schedule (mornings and afternoons), and she’s been fantastic. She’s extremely dependable and always communicates well in advance if there’s ever a schedule change. I feel completely comfortable having her care for Leo. What really stands out is how attentive she is — when Leo got sick, Jennifer noticed right away and alerted me immediately so I could get him to the vet. That kind of attentiveness and care goes well beyond just walking the dog. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable dog walker!”

“Vinnie was very thorough by coming over the day before to prepare for the walk for the first time and fully knew what to do with Olive. Will definitely rebook!”

About: I’ve been taken care of pets since the first one came into my household, cats mostly but I have experience with dogs and birds too! I currently work remote so I’m free most of the day everyday, which allows me to have more than enough time for all my furry friends! In a clients home I like to treat the pets as if I’m the owner myself, with respect, love and kindness as much as possible
About: Calendar is currently up to date through June 2026! Growing up we had outdoor cats, until a tiny 5lb chihuahua came around and stole our hearts. We had her for 15 resilient years. I went on to foster a handful of dogs through my college years at a local rescue.I then helped my roommate from 2018 to 2020, Rover pets until we went our separate ways and I adopted the sweetest 10 year old pup, Rocky. We had 2 wonderful years together until my boyfriend and I had to unexpectedly put her down in September 2022. Love found it’s way back into our hearts a few months later; when we met our new pup Ozzy. He has brought so much joy and energy into our home. I am WFH M-T-Th-F and available most weekends! I have a few meetings a week, but the rest of my work is project based. This makes it so I can stop in for a quick walk, or just to hang for a bit relatively easily. I can also work from your home and spend some time with your pet if they require more one on one time. When doing in-house stays, drop-ins, and walks I will always be respectful of your space and your home. I am very flexible and will follow any instructions you asks for while I’m taking care of your pup.

Whether it’s morning walks to start the day, midday drop-ins for play and potty breaks, or cozy overnight stays, I’m fully committed to keeping tails wagging and whiskers twitching. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or an overnight stay, I follow your instructions carefully, from feeding and medication to favorite toys and walking routes. “Kimberly is wonderful with my fur baby. She is very flexible as well as accommodating with respect to my dog’s needs. My pup is a high energy dog who needs a brisk and fun walk. Kimberly brings my girl back, happy and ready to nap ?”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages- as well as puppies. I grew up in a household that bred border collies so I have a lot of experience taking care of dogs and puppies! I’m currently not working so I have plenty of time to assist in whatever need you have for your fur baby/babies! I have a 5 year old daughter but she goes to school during the day! I follow each pet’s routine closely so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. That includes feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, and any special instructions. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and keep your pet’s routine consistent. My priority is always safety, comfort, and lots of love.

Jill is a fantastic caretaker. My dog gets excited whenever she sees her and Bruce (her rescue pup). She is very responsive and timely when it comes to communication, and she is very thorough making sure all needs are met for our pup. Can not recommend her enough!

We have had Maya walk our dog, Rudy, a few times and she is so great with him! Rudy can be very nervous going outside, but Maya is able to make him feel comfortable to enjoy going outside. She is very communicative and gives us lots of updates which definitely puts us at ease when we aren’t home with him. Highly recommend!!

I had plans fall through with late notice and needed a few days of dog walks for my 7mo puppy who is going through his second fear phase. Plus, there wasn’t time to meet Kendall ahead of time, or even be there when she met him for the first time. She did an AWESOME job easing in with my pup and getting his trust so quickly, and the second day he was already excited waiting for her return. Feeling so relieved and grateful for her, and this first experience with Rover in general.

Christine was reliable, punctual, and easy to communicate with. She was always professional and kept me informed when needed. I appreciated her help walking Simba, and the experience was smooth and dependable. I would recommend Christine to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker.

- 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
