My current schedule gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day, so I’m able to accommodate a variety of walk and drop-in times and can often work with changing schedules. My 4-year-old may occasionally accompany me on walks or drop-ins when appropriate, but only with your prior approval and only with pets who are comfortable around young children. I’m also happy to arrange visits without her when your pet needs a quieter or more focused environment. Feel free to reach out even if you don’t see your exact preferred time reflected on my calendar. I’ll always be upfront about what I can accommodate.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for your dog in your home, I’ll do my best to keep their routine feeling as normal and comfortable as possible. I’ll follow your instructions for walks, feeding, water, medications if applicable, potty breaks, playtime, and any house rules you have in place. I know how important it is to trust someone in your home, so I’ll treat your space with care and respect, keep things tidy, and make sure doors, gates, leashes, and other safety points are secure before I leave. Most importantly, I want your dog to feel relaxed and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to spend time playing, giving affection, getting outside for a good walk, or simply keeping them company depending on what they enjoy most.

Information Annemarie L. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special medications, routines, triggers, or accommodations I should know about. I’d also like to know how they behave around other dogs, strangers, and especially young children. My 4-year-old daughter will typically be with me during walks and drop-in visits, so I only accept dogs who are known to be comfortable, gentle, and safe around young children. If you have any hesitation about how your dog may respond to a child, we may not be the right fit — and that’s completely okay.

A typical day

A typical visit is all about giving your dog a good mix of movement, attention, and enrichment. Depending on their needs, we might head out for a neighborhood walk, spend time sniffing and exploring, play with favorite toys, practice a few basic commands, or enjoy some relaxed companionship and belly rubs. I’m a big believer that walks don’t always have to be about covering as much distance as possible. I’m happy to let dogs stop, sniff, explore, and enjoy being outside at their own pace. For higher-energy dogs, I can make walks more active, while older or lower-energy dogs can have a gentler outing and more time relaxing at home. I’ll also make sure they have fresh water, handle meals or treats according to your instructions, take care of potty breaks, and leave them comfortable and settled before I go. Since my 4-year-old is usually with me, there’s often a little extra outdoor enthusiasm along for the adventure too!

Reliable, Active, Fun Sitter!

Pet care experience

Pets have always been part of my family. We got our first dog when I was 9, and I was hooked from the start. Before long, I became the go-to pet sitter in my neighborhood, and I’ve continued caring for pets for friends and family throughout adulthood. Over the years, I’ve handled everything from quick drop-ins and overnight stays to puppy accidents, anxious pets, senior dogs who need a little extra patience, and adventurous pups who somehow manage to find the neighborhood skunk. I’m comfortable with the messy, quirky, unpredictable parts of pet care and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality, routine, and needs. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family — because that’s always been what pets are to me.
