“Wow, what a lovely person! Jennifer truly cares about doing a great job caring for animals- specifically my dog and two cats!!! I’m so grateful for her incredible communication and dedication to her job!!!”

About: I've had a dog in my home my entire life, and am always the one my friends/family turn to if they need someone to look after their pets. I have also fostered multiple dogs with leash reactivity, and have had some 1-1 work with an R+ (positive reinforcement) trainer to ensure pups can have the best experience out and about in the world while still getting their sniffs and exercise in. I occasionally run outside so I can offer to run with your pup(s) 1-2 times a week if you'd like, and I live 5 minutes away from Baron Cameron park if you like for them to play with other pups during the day at a dog park as well. Or of course we can just snuggle most of the day while I work from home. Well either way there will be lots of snuggles and pets... My last dog passed away in 2025 after a year long battle with cancer, so I have no problem giving medicine and making sure we stay on a strict schedule with food/medicine if that is what your dog needs. I look forward to becoming your pup's new best friend! I work part-time from home. I'm available for day-sitting while you're at work or overnight boarding when you're out of town. I'm typically up by 7:30, have a fenced in backyard, go on walks/runs throughout the day and love going to the dog park if your pup enjoys it! I have a 6 foot fence in my backyard that your pup can play around in. Take 2-3 x 25 minute walks around the neighborhood throughout the day and can occasionally go for 30-60 minute jogs if your pup enjoys more exercise (1-2/week)
“Christine is the best! She is responsive, communicative and gives nice long walks. My dog is always happy to see her. I feel confident that my sweet pooch is cared for with Christine. I Highly recommend her.”

“Amazing dog walker! She was reliable, professional, and took great care of my dogs. They absolutely loved her and were always excited to see her. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands. I would hire her again anytime and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!”

“Francisco is an outstanding dog walker! He consistently goes above and beyond to make sure our dog is well cared for. After every walk, he communicates with me and provides thoughtful updates about how everything went, including anything he noticed that I should be aware of. What really stood out to me was his attention to detail and genuine care. During our last walk, it started raining, and he reached out to ask where he could find a towel so he could dry our dog off before leaving. That level of thoughtfulness meant a lot to me and showed how much he truly cares about the pets he looks after. I highly recommend Francisco to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker. Your pet will be in great hands!”

About: Growing up with pets, I learned how to care for them at a very young age. Whether it’s feeding, snuggling, walking, or playtime, I love caring for furry friends! I’m a college student home for the summer so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m available for morning walks, mid day check-ins, and nighttime snuggles. I always make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable, no matter where they are. I’m great at following instructions and solving problems when they occur.
About: I have taken care of dogs since before I can remember! I grew up with my grandma’s chihuahua, Lucky, and our current dog Elsie, who is now 12 years old. Additionally I have frequently taken care of my neighbors pets as well. I am an animal and nature lover, and love spending time outdoors. I’ll be heading to graduate school in the fall, so this summer I will be very free to take care of your furry friends. Apart from an occasional family trip, I will be in the area and ready! Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities. I'm responsible, reliable, and attentive to your instructions and your pet's unique needs. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm environment with a securely fenced backyard for safe play and plenty of love and attention.

About: Hello! My name is Savannah and I'm an animal lover of all personalities and sizes. I grew up with cats and currently have a senior fur baby, Pickles, who won't leave my side. I also volunteer by fostering kittens through Wolf Trap Animal Rescue. While in college I lived with multiple dogs throughout the years and helped with their daily care and dog walking. I also volunteered at the SPCA and took dogs out for the day to better acclimate them to people and new environments in order to help them get adopted. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just simply a companion while you're gone, I'm happy to help! I'm responsible, communicative, and have a flexible work schedule. I'd love the opportunity to meet your pet and provide them with safe and loving care. I currently work full time with a flexible schedule, working partly in the office and partly remote. My schedule changes frequently where no day is the same, providing lots of flexibility and ability to adjust based off whatever your needs are. I have been around cats and dogs my whole life and know what it takes to gain their trust and take care of them like they are my own! I am comfortable in new environments with new pets and have been a neighborhood pet sitter for over 10 years.
About: For as long as I've remembered I've been around animals. I grew up with a yorkie named Paco and shortly after turning 5 I had the chance to help raise my next dog, a shih tzu named Pebbles who we got when she was 11 weeks old. I often cared for them by taking them on walks, giving them baths, feeding them, and overall giving them love and entertainment. In 2019 my family decided to get another dog after Paco passed away. This time we settled on a golden retriever, Terra. Now that I was older I was able to take full responsibility for her. I taught her all the tricks she knows. I'd take her out to swim and walk around the neighborhood. I'd even hand feed her and Pebbles when they would be super picky about their food. I'd also take care of my neighbors cat when she was away on vacation as well as feed the stray cat that often visited my backyard. Aside from cats and dogs I've had many other pets such as birds, hamsters, rabbits, turtles and more. Animals are a very important aspect in my life. My desire to care and love them is extremely strong. I currently have a flexible, mostly remote 9-to-5 job. Because I work from home, my daily routine revolves comfortably around pet care. I love taking breaks between my meetings to give pets some fresh air, a quick walk, or just a good scratch behind the ears. Before work, after work, and throughout the weekends, my schedule is wide open for longer adventures and dedicated playtime. Safety and open communication are my top priorities. When I am visiting or staying at a client's house, my goal is to keep the pet's routine as normal as possible so they feel secure. I always double check that doors, gates, and harnesses are completely secure before and after walks. I am highly respectful of the client's space and make sure to leave the home exactly as I found it. Because my daily schedule is very flexible, I can easily adapt to specific feeding routines or supervision needs. I also love sending plenty of photo updates so owners always have peace of mind!
“Vinnie is extremely communicative, response to emails/texts, and SO friendly. Our dog absolutely loves him and she is so happy to see him each morning. Vinnie is very professional and reliable and we can always count on him to be there for the scheduled days’ walk right on time and with a smile on his face. He also provides photos of the walk adventures which gives us great peace of mind. Highly recommend Vinnie!”

“Carole was great! Arrived on time, my dog was excited to see her and they had a good wander around the neighborhood. She took time with him during the meet and greet to get to know him as he can be anxious. All went well. Plan to book reoccurring walks with Carole!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
