About: My name is Laryssa and I am new on the sitter side of Rover. I am extremely reliable, caring and would treat your pets like my own while you are away! From experience, I know how hard it can be to leave your pets and will provide updates so you can ensure your fur babies are in good hands! A little about me I am a longtime dog owner and have had my Norwegian Elkhound mix for 10 years. About: I've been cat and dog sitting since 2016, staying at friends and family members' homes to provide care for pets while they're away. From that experience, I've learned about feeding, walking, and giving attention to each pet's needs. I'm always curious to learn more about them and being a reliable pet sitter for the family. I also like to volunteer at the local animal shelter. I work fully remote. Sometimes, I go in the office if needed, but my schedule is pretty flexible. I can stop by after work or stay overnight during the week. I just need a heads up at least 3+ days prior to make sure it works with my schedule. About: Huge lover of dogs and puppies of all sizes and breeds! I grew up with family dogs and fostered dogs throughout college; it was a super rewarding and FUN experience. I’ve dealt with shy dogs, dogs with anxiety and pups as young as 6 weeks. Eventually I adopted my own and I can now say I’ve spent hours on end at dog parks. I am a happy owner of a 8 year old mix named Tucker and 4 year old golden retriever puppy named Skye. My husband and I as a team will both be responsible for your fur babies so you get 2 dog sitters for the price of 1! We would love to meet, care and play with your pup and I'm sure our dogs will too. Just to note: Tucker is weary with humans and will bark his head off the second he sees a PERSON he doesn’t know... but other than that, he has no problems with other dogs and would love to hang out with yours! My work schedule changes weekly based on my team's attendance that week, but typically I am in the office Mon-Thurs. On days I’m in the office, I’m gone from about 9am–4:30pm. We have a pet cam set up for when we are hosting other dogs so that we are able to monitor them sleeping on the couch all day. If your dog is house-trained and/or crate-trained and is comfortable being in a calm environment, they are welcome to come hang out with Tucker and Skye during the day! As soon as me or my husband are home from work, we’re back to playing, going on walks around the neighborhood, or heading to the dog park. Marti is always so wonderful with our dog Hemi! She is very responsive with walking requests when sent. She is flexible with timing and will always make herself available for your doggo. Further, Hemi loves her and at the end of their walk Marti even spends time with our cat giving her AND Hemi both treats and pets.
Claire was absolutely fantastic! She stepped in super last minute to walk our 65-lb Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, her communication was excellent — she kept us updated and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. Claire was incredibly kind, patient, and clearly very comfortable handling a larger dog. Our pup came back happy and well exercised, which says everything. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I would recommend Claire any day and will absolutely be booking with her again. If you're looking for someone reliable, communicative, and great with dogs (especially bigger ones), Claire is the one!
I would pick 10 stars for Michaela, if possible. Star has some tigger issues and I have never asked anyone else to walk my dog as she can be a handful. Michaela walked Star today and I did not worry and Star came back super happy and tired! She loved Michaela and watched out the window as she left. I am hoping to book Michaela again, as needed as she is a dog whisper and I am recommending her to all my dog owner friends. She is the best!
