About: I've had cats and dogs my entire life and, for the first time, find myself without any pets. I have an abundance of ear scratches, belly rubs, and snuggles just waiting for pets who are missing their people. My husband and I both work from home with flexible schedules so are available for frequent potty breaks, walks, and playtime. We also have two children, 8 and 11, who both grew up with dogs and cats and are experienced and comfortable with both. Your pet will be the only one in our home, so they will get lots of attention, playtime, and snuggles! We have a big house that pets are free to explore and where they can make themselves at home. We also have an unfenced 3-acre backyard that connects to a path through the woods - your dog can enjoy a daily hike through the forest, smelling the many interesting smells and splashing in the creek if so desired. And we live on a cul-de-sac in a residential area perfect for safe neighborhood walks. If you are looking for someone who loves dogs and is responsible and loving to take care of your pups when you're not around, please reach out! Please note: 1. All dogs must be fully potty trained, neutered or spayed, vaccinated, and on flea and tick preventative. All pets must be comfortable with children. 2. “I needed someone to come for a drop-in and watch on pretty short notice. Jessica responded very quickly and was willing to come over the very same day for a meet and greet. She was very sweet with our dog and he immediately liked her. On the day of the drop-in she came exactly on time, took Comet for a nice walk and made sure he had a full bowl of water before she left. Very happy with Jessica's service and look forward to booking her again.”

“Lauren is great, my dog Theo took to her immediately as she has natural instincts connecting with dogs. She’s very conscientious in communicating, timely and most important absolutely has genuine affection and love of animals. Will definitely work with her again.”

“Sabina is friendly, caring, and energetic! She is great with dogs, and my pup had a fantastic time on his walk. He didn’t even look back as he left the house, was so excited to go with Sabina!”

“Mila LOVED her! Like immediately! Never seen her respond so nicely within seconds to a stranger before. She could clearly sense Leticia’s good energy :) I appreciated that Leticia was available to walk her on such short notice. Mila came back tired (a sign of success) and clearly had a good walk.”

“Jeremiah did a wonderful job taking care of my dog! He provided me updates with pictures and videos of his interactions with her while I was away. I appreciated that he was on time and that I feel comfortable with him coming in/out my home. Thanks again Jeremiah!”
“Pilar has walked our girls a couple times now and she does a great job! She is dependable and always follow up with any relevant information for us about the walk or our girls. Also, our dogs seem to really love her! We would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone, and we’ll be booking her again!”

“Sara was available to help and accepted the walks last minute, AND waited while I had accidentally locked her out, for my building to come let her in. She could have left and cancelled the walk, but she was so patient and just great!”

About: I have a medium size calm dog Judo who loves the company of other dogs. I have been caring for my own dogs since 2014, and started Rover in 2018. I also foster dogs for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and especially have experience with shy dogs that need help trusting people. Because of allergies, dogs are not allowed on furniture or in the bedroom. We only take one dog at a time to insure your lovely pup gets the attention they deserve. We only accept dogs that are fully house trained. Accidents happen, but please do not send your dog over if they already have urinary or digestive problems. Please understand that we only accept fully vaccinated dogs to protect the health of our resident dog. Before booking with us for the first time, we would like to do a meet n greet to ensure a good fit. I work from home and my schedule is pretty flexible. Potty breaks in the yard available throughout the day. Two walks a day with my dog and park visits on weekends. All interactions between dogs will be monitored. When I’m not around I will keep them separate in the first three days until I am confident that they get along. Food will be fed separately and toys will not be left around.
About: Over 10 years of lab and research experience taught me to be detail-oriented and responsible—I bring that same focus to caring for pets. Whether your pup wants a long stroll or a quick potty break, I match their energy. I am currently taking classes at the local community college online and I am looking to make some money and fulfill my need to be with dogs. I keep pets safe and comfortable by following their normal routines in their own home. I stick to your instructions, keep their space clean, and make sure they feel secure and cared for while you’re away.
Darnestown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Katie has provided phenomenal care for Paige. She communicates well and is always prompt, reliable, and kind. She has been a godsend, not only with respect to affording me the ability to more easily adjust to new work schedules despite having to leave Paige at home, but also in enabling us to feel secure in knowing Paige is in incredibly competent and compassionate hands. Most importantly, Paige loves Katie. On several occasions, I have had to work from home but did not cancel the walks and observed Paige run to the front door when Katie comes in (she doesn’t even do that with me!). Thanks, Katie!

Kristin did a wonderful job taking care of our two girls! She was communicative and kind, and really got along with our girls and their friendly, boisterous personalities. We felt very comfortable having her take care of them, and definitely will be reaching out to have her back when we need someone!
