“I highly recommend Mark. He is punctual and super easy to work with, and very professional. He also gives me a summary of how the walks went and take pics. My dog loves to take walks with him, when my dog sees him, he is so happy, maybe even happier that if my dog sees me, that says a lot!”

“Krystian was super at walking my two dogs while I was battling sciatica. He arrived on time, expressed concern for my condition and paid close attention to each of the dogs. He was very friendly and easy to work with. I will definitely call on him again.”
“Laura is amazing!!!! She walked my skittish labradoodle, and it was clear my dog was fully at ease with Laura. She was timely, communicated well, and sent photos. Would highly recommend her to any dog owner!”

“Our dogs love Helena! She is very kind, caring, and punctual. Our dogs loves Helena’s warm personality and they greet her with lots of love. Our little cavapoo Whitney is typically fearful and a little anxious at times. Whitney has quickly warmed up to Helena and not as anxious doing the transfer of leash at the door. Thank you so much Helena for your love, care and patience you give our fur babies.”

“Kyrstin was amazing with Hunter. As soon as she met Hunter she knew how to work with him. Very professional and pleasant personality. On time and good communication.”

“Our pup Gracie Mae instantly connected with Christopher. It was if she had already met him before. He was absolutely great with her, took her on walks, gave her pets and kept her company while we were on our trip. It was so wonderful that Christopher kept in touch with us daily, sending us great pictures and videos. Gracie was always so excited when he arrived. She really enjoyed her walks with him! We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for pet sitting services. Without a doubt, we will book with him again🩷🐾”

“Malek is a dog whisperer! He was wonderful with our Australian shepherd puppy - who has a lot of energy and love to give! Malek took her on some great walks, and she was actually tired after! Thank you so much, Malek!”

“Denisse is very kind and responsible!! She visited my house mid-day for several days to take my two dogs for a walk and let them play in the yard while I had long days out of the house. Everything with the booking went as planned and the pictures were great!! I highly recommend Denisse for your pet sitting needs!”

“Suyenti was nothing short of amazing. She stepped in last minute for me when another sitter was not working out, and took amazing care of my dog. It was nice to be able to enjoy my trip without having to worry.”

About: Dogs are just wonderful. I just don’t have the right words to explain how special they are and how much I love them. I and my family have owned several dogs in the past and I have taken care of others’s dogs. Due to the immense joy dogs have always brought me I still want them in my life. I have a very open, flexible, schedule, as I am a substitute teacher. I would not be working a full day when and/or if I do work, and I am a five minute drive from work. It can fit very easily into routine. I live in a condo building with much open space to walk my dog. There are many dogs in my bldg. I live in a big two bedroom apartment.

“Victor is great with my dog Marcie! He made sure to ask about everything he might need to know for her. My cat liked him too. Victor is very kind and conscientious and you can definitely trust him with your pet. He will absolutely go above and beyond to make sure they are well taken care of.”
About: I have been an active pet caretaker for over 25 years. I have worked with dogs young and old (currently have 2 senior dogs) and sizes from small to large (12-80 lbs). I enjoy getting to meet and befriend dogs of all kinds. I make my own schedule, so visiting your dog(s) is a flexible option. Looking forward to helping pet parents know their pup is safe and happy. My main thought is to dog safety. A safe dog is a happy one. We'll enjoy walks and visits that meet your dog's energy levels and specific needs. Expect photos from our time and updates on happenings.
About: Hi, I’m Eileen. I provide gentle, attentive care for small dogs, with a focus on safety, routine, and a calm home environment. My availability is primarily weekends, holidays, and selected weekday evenings, which allows me to give each dog steady, unhurried attention. I tailor care to each pup’s personality, whether that means relaxed walks, light play, quiet companionship, or simply keeping their routine familiar and reassuring. I follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, keep bowls and rest areas clean, and send thoughtful updates with photos so you can feel fully at ease. Because I have resident cats, I’m best suited for cat-savvy small dogs. I approach introductions slowly, supervise carefully, and can keep spaces separate when needed. My style is warm, detail-oriented, and intentionally limited in volume, so each dog receives the same thoughtful care I would want for my own pets. 🕰️ Schedule I work a full-time 9–5 role during weekdays, and I thoughtfully plan my pet care visits around that schedule to ensure each visit is calm, unhurried, and consistent. On weekdays, I offer evening drop-in visits, which tend to be a natural and comforting time for most cats, which is quiet, predictable, and aligned with their evening routines. On weekends and holidays, I’m available between 10am–5pm, with more flexibility to match your cat’s preferred schedule. At home, I care for my own five cats every day, so multi-cat routines, different personalities, and maintaining a clean, peaceful environment are already part of my daily life. When I visit your home, I bring that same level of attentiveness—never rushed, always respectful of your cat’s pace and space. I also keep my bookings intentionally limited so each cat receives steady, thoughtful care. Whether your cat needs quiet companionship, playtime, or medication, I make sure every visit feels consistent and reassuring for both you and your cat. My primary service is caring for cats in their own home, where many feel safest and most relaxed. I follow your instructions closely, from feeding and medication to doors, windows, lights, and entry routines. I know how much trust it takes to leave your cat and home in someone else’s care, so I treat both with great respect and attention. Each visit is tailored to your cat’s personality and your preferences. Some cats want play and affection, while others prefer quiet company and space. I pay close attention to food, water, litter box habits, and any small changes in behavior. After every visit, I send thoughtful updates with photos, videos, and a clear report, so you can feel informed and at ease while you’re away. If I ever care for a cat in my home, I would focus on slow introductions, separated food, close monitoring, and a calm, clean environment. My five resident cats are all up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, and I always respect each cat’s pace and comfort level.
About: I genuinely love animals and all of their different personalities. I’m the person who is going to talk to your dog, play with them, give them affection, and really pay attention to how they’re doing while you’re away. One thing that sets me apart is that I’m also a Reiki Master and have practiced Reiki with animals for about six years. I’ve found it can be especially calming for animals who are nervous, anxious, adjusting to a change in their environment, or simply missing their person. I’m also very intuitive and tend to notice the little changes in an animal’s behavior and energy. And if you have an active dog, I’m definitely your girl! I love being outside and going on long walks and nature trails. If your dog needs more exercise, I’m happy to run with them too. I can run up to three miles, so they can get some of that energy out before we head home. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable knowing that while you’re away, your fur baby is with someone who is going to genuinely enjoy spending time with them and treat them with lots of love and care. I currently work part-time, which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for your pets and spend quality time with them. I’m an early riser, so morning walks and check-ins work great for me, and I also have flexibility throughout the day depending on my schedule. I love being active, so fitting walks, playtime, and outdoor time into my day comes naturally to me. I’m also happy to work with your pet’s normal routine because I know consistency is important, especially when their person is away. My goal is to make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and companionship while they’re in my care. When I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll do my best to keep their normal routine consistent. I understand that having someone new in their space can be an adjustment, so I’ll give them time to warm up to me and follow their cues. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and anything else they need. I’ll also respect your home and make sure everything is secure when I’m coming and going. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your fur baby is getting plenty of attention, affection, and good care.

“Simply a fantastic dog walker! She was available for my last minute request. Not only did Ashley walk my dog she also did extra, added more food, stimulated my dogs mind with a brain puzzle food game, changed her water and even made sure my fur baby didn't mess the floor. I am beyond satisfied. She was very caring, respectful and just overall trustworthy and on time. I would definitely recommend Ashley to anyone in need.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rockville
Christopher was excellent and was able to help with our last minute request. He was punctual, communicative and made sure to walk for agreed upon times. Otis loved his visits and he was careful to watch and ensure a good pace for an older dog. He also made sure to provide plenty of water and good reports of any potty breaks or other notes.

Jenny has been walking our dogs for a few weeks now. She is amazing with them, caring and patient and they really enjoy their walks with her. Jenny provides a stellar service, has been very accommodating, keeping good communication and we feel our dogs are safe and happy when she comes see them. We couldn’t recommend her more and of course we’ll keep working with her. Thank you!

Angela was amazing and was able to accommodate a super short request as I was unable to walk my dogs due to illness. She is wonderful with my big enthusiastic dog who loves to walk and also my slow old lady dog who walks exceedingly slow. All of my animals loved her.

Cannot possibly overstate how wonderful Bianca was to us and Kona. We had to adjust days and times twice and she adjusted in the app and was extremely malleable, assertive and professional about everything. We added extra walks before leaving town and she was able to accommodate. We never waited on a response, she was always present when we needed to communicate. Bianca exudes trust, efficiency and professionalism - an extremely kind, gentle but assertive presence. Kona is pretty big/strong and sometimes difficult, reactive to other dogs and we were very anxious using rover walking services for the very first time - she provided the ease of mind we so desperately needed. Incredibly detailed feedback and tracking of every single walk, pee, etc… multiple pictures. Whenever we leave town and need help with Kona, we will be crossing our fingers that Bianca is available.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
