“I highly recommend Mark. He is punctual and super easy to work with, and very professional. He also gives me a summary of how the walks went and take pics. My dog loves to take walks with him, when my dog sees him, he is so happy, maybe even happier that if my dog sees me, that says a lot!”

About: I’ve grown up around both cats and dogs; while I’ve only ever owned cats, I love to be around dogs any chance I get! I love both animals! I am a paraeducator on summer break right now so my schedule is very open! Hoping to fill my summer with many sweet furr babies:) I prioritize the animal’s health, safety, and well-being by sticking to the instructions left by the owner, and depending on the dog’s preference I will either play with them all day, or sit with them quietly and give them attention. No matter what kind of personality your dog has, I will accommodate them to the best of my ability and only show them tenderness and love as they deserve.
“I have booked with Nicole a few times now for walks and more recently a drop in visit. She always replies in a timely manner and is very flexible with my schedule. She leaves very thorough reviews of my dogs and how they acted and clearly cares very much for them. She was able to take care of my dog after he hurt his back and give him his medications while I was gone! She does a great job at every visit! Will continue to book with her.”

“Ivan is very nice with my dog, he is taking care of my dog really well. My pet is though very picky in liking people but she loves Ivan and very happy with him. I am really thankful to him for taking so good care of her.”

“Anna is very responsive and reliable. Reese enjoyed his time with her this weekend (I could tel through pictures sent!) and I am so thankful for her being able to give him some attention while I was away. Will for sure have Anna come again soon.”

“Malek is a dog whisperer! He was wonderful with our Australian shepherd puppy - who has a lot of energy and love to give! Malek took her on some great walks, and she was actually tired after! Thank you so much, Malek!”

“Judson is THE BEST. He treated my dogs as his own and they loved him! He was able to come over on a short notice when I needed help. He’s honest and trustworthy and my dogs already miss him!”

“Krystian was super at walking my two dogs while I was battling sciatica. He arrived on time, expressed concern for my condition and paid close attention to each of the dogs. He was very friendly and easy to work with. I will definitely call on him again.”
“Suyenti was nothing short of amazing. She stepped in last minute for me when another sitter was not working out, and took amazing care of my dog. It was nice to be able to enjoy my trip without having to worry.”

“Denisse is very kind and responsible!! She visited my house mid-day for several days to take my two dogs for a walk and let them play in the yard while I had long days out of the house. Everything with the booking went as planned and the pictures were great!! I highly recommend Denisse for your pet sitting needs!”

“Victor is great with my dog Marcie! She can sometimes be wary of strangers but she liked him immediately. He is very conscientious and kind. Victor will take good care of your pets.”
About: I have done puppy training classes with my own furbaby and can teach your furbaby some basics (like sit, leave it, drop it, etc). Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to work on! I wake up, snuggle my dog, get ready for work (from home), take my dog out, eat with my dog, work, play with my dog in between doing tasks at work, work some more, then take my dog out again! This will depend on what the client needs! Flexible and open to doing what the furbaby needs! Will wipe a furbaby baby's butt if needed!
“I cannot recommend Jessica enough! She was fantastic with our two older dogs! It was the first time we left them with someone other than a friend, so I was a bit concerned as to whether our little dog (who is very skittish) would warm up to Jessica. I was also concerned because our bigger dog has a lot of medical issues (including mobility problems). Jessica was phenomenal. She arranged some time to come by and meet them and us beforehand. She asked really detailed questions - which let me know she was tuned into their care. She gave great updates on her visits and sent photos, too. Her updates let me know how well she was getting to know their unique quirks and personalities. She kept in touch with everything that came up - and even suggested some things to make our bigger dog more comfortable. I was blown away by the care she gave to our girls! Her thoughtfulness erased my concerns about how the dogs were doing while we were gone. I was able to relax and have a worry-free trip. And our little dog was giving her kisses and greeting her at the door after only a couple of visits! If we travel again without the dogs, I wouldn't want anyone else to care for our girls.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rockville
Nicole was amazing with our 2 Australian Shepards!! We are from out of town and had her walk our dogs daily for about 2 weeks. She is very knowledgeable about dogs in all aspects and was great with training tips for dogs with problem behaviors. Wish she lived near us, would use her all the time.
Cannot possibly overstate how wonderful Bianca was to us and Kona. We had to adjust days and times twice and she adjusted in the app and was extremely malleable, assertive and professional about everything. We added extra walks before leaving town and she was able to accommodate. We never waited on a response, she was always present when we needed to communicate. Bianca exudes trust, efficiency and professionalism - an extremely kind, gentle but assertive presence. Kona is pretty big/strong and sometimes difficult, reactive to other dogs and we were very anxious using rover walking services for the very first time - she provided the ease of mind we so desperately needed. Incredibly detailed feedback and tracking of every single walk, pee, etc… multiple pictures. Whenever we leave town and need help with Kona, we will be crossing our fingers that Bianca is available.

We’ve had such a great experience with Oyindamola! She walked our dog today and was able to accommodate us on very short notice, which we really appreciated. She’s been reliable, kind, and easy to work with, and our dog seems very happy after each walk. We’re grateful to have found her and are looking forward to booking many more walks in the future!

Chris has been a huge help to our family. We needed someone who could handle a rambunctious, large puppy who is still learning to walk on-leash without pulling, and Chris has done an excellent job while also building a positive relationship with our dog. He’s incredibly responsive to messages and has even picked up additional days with little notice. We truly appreciate his reliability and care.

Anne did a wonderful job taking care of Rogue, our Corgi senior! All the pictures and updates were great and helped up feel better during our time away. Anne took extra steps to ensure she got all the right attention and care. I would 100% recommend Anne if you need someone to take loving care of your pet!

Victor is great with my dog Marcie! He made sure to ask about everything he might need to know for her. My cat liked him too. Victor is very kind and conscientious and you can definitely trust him with your pet. He will absolutely go above and beyond to make sure they are well taken care of.
Good job on tiring our Gordon setter puppy out, that’s not an easy challenge and you did it twice ! We hope you can continue to take care of Ulu and would just like communication to improve a bit in the future - but we are happy with your work and Ulu seems to love you too.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
