“Jonathan was wonderful with Teddy! You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure Teddy had a great walk and was comfortable along the way. He even brought a water cup for him, which was such a thoughtful touch. Jonathan was on time, dependable, and his communication was excellent. Teddy was in great hands, and I’d absolutely recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for someone caring and reliable!”

“Shreejaya is incredibly kind and helpful with walking our dog and checking in on our cat. She is just the best and we really appreciate her! Highly recommend if you’re looking for pet sitting, dog walking, etc.”

About: Dogs are just wonderful. I just don’t have the right words to explain how special they are and how much I love them. I and my family have owned several dogs in the past and I have taken care of others’s dogs. Due to the immense joy dogs have always brought me I still want them in my life. I have a very open, flexible, schedule, as I am a substitute teacher. I would not be working a full day when and/or if I do work, and I am a five minute drive from work. It can fit very easily into routine. I live in a condo building with much open space to walk my dog. There are many dogs in my bldg. I live in a big two bedroom apartment.
“Good job on tiring our Gordon setter puppy out, that’s not an easy challenge and you did it twice ! We hope you can continue to take care of Ulu and would just like communication to improve a bit in the future - but we are happy with your work and Ulu seems to love you too.”

“Laura is amazing!!!! She walked my skittish labradoodle, and it was clear my dog was fully at ease with Laura. She was timely, communicated well, and sent photos. Would highly recommend her to any dog owner!”

“Would absolutely rebook Mark again! He was prompt, communicative, and an amazing walking partner for my dog who needed daily hour long walks while we were away for a long weekend. He is attuned to making your dog comfortable: I mentioned that my dog is nervous around men and Mark set-up a quick meet and greet to get acquainted. We really felt he went the extra mile for us 💚”

“Kyrstin did an excellent job dog walking my dog, Baloo. She took the time to get to know him and made it easier for Baloo to trust her. She let him pick his walks which is what he loves to do. She was attentive and professional and I would recommend her to others.”

“Angela was amazing and was able to accommodate a super short request as I was unable to walk my dogs due to illness. She is wonderful with my big enthusiastic dog who loves to walk and also my slow old lady dog who walks exceedingly slow. All of my animals loved her.”

About: I have taken care of dogs (during the day and overnight stays) ranging from 6 months to over two years. In addition to my pet sitting experiences, I have volunteered at two humane societies and specialized with the dogs. Before interacting with the dogs at the humane societies, I completed 22.5 hours of formal training, background security checks, and the Fear Free Shelter Program Core Modules. My responsibilities as a volunteer were canine enrichment activities (including making toys and interactions with dogs), recording behavioral observations, and canine handling onsite and offsite. I also enjoy running, so if your dog is up for that, they are more than welcome to join! I frequent run clubs with dogs because I love being around them and I don't have the finances to take care of my own right now (I am a graduate student). I just graduated from W&M with my Master’s in Science. I am currently job searching so my schedule is very open and flexible. Check my calendar to see when I’m can house/pet sit! At this time, I am only caring for pets in their homes. I am renting my current residence, so I cannot care for pets in my own home.
“William has been fantastic with our very energetic puppy! Highly recommend him for dogs of all ages! We always appreciate the detailed note and pictures after every visit!”

“Malek is a dog whisperer! He was wonderful with our Australian shepherd puppy - who has a lot of energy and love to give! Malek took her on some great walks, and she was actually tired after! Thank you so much, Malek!”

“Very responsive and does a great job with my pup. Listens to any concerns that I may have, and follows through with any requests. Will definitely continue to work with Huan for any walking or sitting needs!”

“Danny is so kind and caring with our 10 month old puppy and makes sure he gets all the love, care, and walks he needs. He is very attentive and flexible to the dog’s needs and so communicative with us.”

“Fran took very good care of my puppy. She is a very reliable person.I could see at the end of the weekend that my puppy was very comfortable with her.I will not hesitate to request her services in the future. You can trust Fran!”
About: I’m a reliable and attentive dog sitter who takes the time to understand each dog’s specific needs and routine. I have experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs, so I’m comfortable adjusting my approach depending on their age, energy level, and behavior. With puppies, I focus on reinforcing good habits like basic commands, potty training routines, and appropriate play. I stay consistent with whatever training style the owner prefers to help support their progress. I also have experience with senior care, including giving medications, monitoring mobility, and making sure older dogs stay comfortable and don’t overexert themselves. I pay close attention to any changes in behavior and keep owners updated. I’m patient, observant, and make sure every dog feels safe, cared for, and well looked after. I am a college student at Penn State University and am back for summer, so I’m free everyday and am flexible with timing to fit your needs. I follow each pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I stick to their feeding, walking, and care instructions while making sure the pet gets plenty of attention and exercise.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Scotland
Whitney was an absolute lifesaver walking my two little pups. They warmed up to her instantly. She went above and beyond making sure they were safe and got good exercise and sniffs. Communication was perfect. I would absolutely reach out to Whitney as a top choice for future walks. Highest recommendation. Thank you Whitney!

Tiffany does a great job walking our goldendoodle! She is communicative and flexible. Our dog Murphy is still a puppy and high energy, so he can be a bit of a handful. Tiffany lets us know how he's doing on the walk, and she takes him for the full 30 minutes so he gets a lot of exercise and is tuckered out when he gets home. She lets us know if he has any issues during the walk. I recommend her highly.

Christopher was excellent and was able to help with our last minute request. He was punctual, communicative and made sure to walk for agreed upon times. Otis loved his visits and he was careful to watch and ensure a good pace for an older dog. He also made sure to provide plenty of water and good reports of any potty breaks or other notes.

Angela was amazing and was able to accommodate a super short request as I was unable to walk my dogs due to illness. She is wonderful with my big enthusiastic dog who loves to walk and also my slow old lady dog who walks exceedingly slow. All of my animals loved her.

Chris has been a huge help to our family. We needed someone who could handle a rambunctious, large puppy who is still learning to walk on-leash without pulling, and Chris has done an excellent job while also building a positive relationship with our dog. He’s incredibly responsive to messages and has even picked up additional days with little notice. We truly appreciate his reliability and care.

Anne did a wonderful job taking care of Rogue, our Corgi senior! All the pictures and updates were great and helped up feel better during our time away. Anne took extra steps to ensure she got all the right attention and care. I would 100% recommend Anne if you need someone to take loving care of your pet!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Scotland. On Rover:
- 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
