“My puppy Bentley had and awesome time with Sash and her team. He was so exhausted from all of the excitement that he slept for 2 days. We also received lots of photos of Bentley throughout the day. We will definitely rebook.”

“Our dog Remy seems to have had a very nice experience during his first visit to daycare with Shoham. It was evident that she genuinely cared about the pets under her care and provided us with updates throughout the day. The house has an ideal backyard for dogs and Remy is looking forward to future visits!”

About: Family love!! We now own a Bugg (boston terrier/pug mix) named Moxie who is 4 and previously owned a rescue pug named Rosie who lived to be 15. We have a single family home and large fully fenced in yard and love pet sitting all our neighbors' pets! We also have three boys (ages 5, 9, 12) who are comfortable around pets and love to play with them. My husband and I both telework so someone is home every day of the week. Either my husband or I am home every day. We typically walk our Bugg, Moxie, 3 times a day and also have a large fully fenced yard for her to play. Our current dog, Moxie, is free to roam our house all day and she sleeps in our son's room at night in her doggie bed. We don't mind dogs on our furniture or in any room, but can also provide separation or crating if desired.

I provide attentive, WFH care, medication support, structured routines, safe socialization, and lots of love and cuddles. I work a flexible hybrid schedule and plan my days around dog stays, ensuring frequent check-ins, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship, with care. I maintain a clean, calm, non-smoking home and prioritize safety, supervision, and trust, treating every dog with the same care as my own, always thoughtfully. 1 week prior meet and greet required!
“Yi is amazing with Dogs! She has taken great care of our pup for boarding and daycare. She is also very responsive which makes the scheduling process super easy. Our dog is human shy but in just a couple of overnights and daycares has become fast friends with Yi. We are grateful for her kindness and patience!”

“Elena is fantastic! She helped me out with some doggy day care very last minute and took great care of my dog. She was understanding of my dog's needs and very easy to work with. Highly recommend!”

“Rachel is amazing!! She accommodated a last minute request and was super flexible! Jetson loved her and her sweet pup! Couldn’t recommend her more!!”

We will take special care of your companions because we know how important they are to you. We have a small fenced back yard where they can spend as much time as they like or they can chill out anywhere in the house. Marianna or Gordon will always be present to ensure that your dog is getting the love and attention they deserve.

About: I’ve cared for many of my own dogs & dogs of friends, gf’s, etc. since the late 1980s. I’m a long time dog owner and dog lover, who is also a professional and former small business owner - who is mature, responsible, and serious. On the professional side, I have a combination of organizational/business management and basic sales/marketing & customer service training. I own a single family home with a large yard. My “main job” is in tech and I work from home nearly every day. I’m minutes away from a large park as well. The pets (and people) under my care receive a lot of loving attention in a safe, higher end neighborhood. I have a fenced yard backing up to a very serene, wooded/natural setting with tons of trees. If needed, my home has specific crates/cages and multiple rooms, depending on what the circumstances require. However, usually most pets are allowed to roam freely throughout most of the house and yard, as long as they do not conflict with or disrupt others.
“Shanilka was super responsive and understanding of my dog's needs!! She was very kind and prompt with pick up and drop off so I didn't have to wait long in the cold. Highly recommend!!”

About: Hi everyone! I’ve had animals basically all my life. I’ve been always around dogs or cats. When I was a little kid my family used to have dogs and when I was a teenager we started to have cats. Recently I’ve been taking care of two gorgeous kitties every time my neighbors are out of town. I’m also comfortable with dogs of most sizes and walking them too. I’m currently working and studying but I have time to feed and take for a walk your pets in the morning, 2 hours off from 12:30 and after 7pm. I’m not able to house pets in my home. I could spend as much time as is needed with your pets and have a safe environment for them.
“What a incredible experience! So grateful to have met Robyn and her family. Her home was the perfect setting for my Mocha very kind and caring people and Zelda & Navi and chilren was 4 extra bonuses Mocha got to experience as well. Couldn't have gotten a better outcome! Mocha will definitely be coming back :)”

“Chuy seemed to have a wonderful time at his evening with Oyindamola! When I picked him up he looked so happy and said goodbye to her at least 3 times. 😊 She was very kind and helped him feel comfortable when he was a little nervous at first. I highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of my friends and familys pups and I have two 13 year old pups! I love being around dogs and spending time with them! I am currently available everyday until I leave to college where I will study veterinary! I am also very flexible with my schedules. Whatever is most comfortable for you and your pups! I have an unfenced backyard if your pup is trained off-leash. I have a dog park nearby my house. My neighbor is super dog friendly with sidewalks all around!
About: I've owned dogs all of my life. I grew up with a Bull Mastiff and I am currently an owner to an extra friendly 7 year beagle mix. I am available to sit daily or overnight for pooches small all the way to large. Including walks, feeding, cuddles, play time. If medication is needed I do not have a problem as long as dosing information is provided. I will care for your fur baby just as if they are my own. Unfortunately I am allergic to cats so I cant board those. I work from home so your pet will always have someone by its side. When boarding or dog sitting I don't really go out- if I do it wont be for more than 4 hours at a time. I care for pets often in my home but never have more than 2 dogs at a time. My dog is exceptionally friendly and midsized. Very mild mannered. So your pet would always have a friend to play with. You can trust there will be no other pets or outside folks walking or sitting your dog aside from myself. I provide pics and updates every few hours as well.

Always amazing! Our hound has boarded with Sasha and enjoyed doggy daycare several times. We often come in with last minute requests and Sasha always accommodates us. May comes home happy and tired! The place is a fortress, so I feel comfortable each time knowing that May is safe. The staff are friendly and caring. Communication is impeccable and speedy. We’re so fortunate to have found Sasha.

Shoham was so so SO accommodating & willing to see if daycare with her would work with my sweet boy who has a some separation anxiety in new spaces. Even though it ultimately didn’t work out on my pups end, he had a blast playing in her beautiful fenced backyard & with all of her pups! I’ll absolutely work on crate training him & hope to see her again in the future when I do

I needed a last minute sitter for my 3month puppy and Nurit was super fast at responding! I had a lot of anxiety leaving such a young puppy with someone but Nurit was amazing! She took my puppy on a long walk and even did some command work with him. I will definitely be reaching back out whenever I am in need of a dog sitter!

Jemma enjoyed her time with Carlos and Travis. I can always tell by how well she sleeps when she comes home. They made sure she had plenty of backyard play and indoor rest. When I needed to adjust my pickup time, they graciously accommodated and communicated well with me. I appreciate them caring for my fur baby!

Mr.Buttons returned to Yi's place after a long break & had the most amazing, fun day. He enjoyed playing with his friends there & we love the fact that the other dogs are similar in size, so there is no issue with safety even if they play rough. Can't recommend Yi enough & will definitely be back soon.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Scotland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
