About: You name it, I probably have lovingly done it. From medical care, giving shots, playing, training, elder pet care, cleaning ears, wiping paws, giving baths, walking and playing with super high energy pets, etc., I can handle it. I specialize in anxious dogs. I get that there is a formula for making them feel safe and I can follow it to a T, plus I have a lot of tools and tricks. I also specialize in elder care of pets. Beyond medical needs which I am comfortable doing, I also have tons of ways of engaging elders pets that can no longer play nor walk like they used. I am loving, lead with empathy, and NEVER strike nor yell at a pet. That should go without saying, but I like to be very clear. I can assert leadership for pets that need it. I can handle any size pet and I get that each pet has their own needs, so don't worry if your dog has a long list of things they cannot do or a list of needs. I get it! I am currently working part time from home and my breaks and hours are flexible, so I am always available. Very occasionally I work outside the home for no more than 5 hours at a time. I care for pets in my home and at their home as well. I have a big back yard that is fenced in on all sides. I go outside with the pets most of the time and engage and play with them. I don't just let them out. There are 2 people parks near my home (one well shaded and great for hot summer days) that are great for walking to. I find dogs like to people watching too. I think giving pups time to sniffy snoop around is important. I even have a backpack with a mesh screen "window" for a cat as some cats love walks. In your home, I follow their routine to give them a sense of security, play, train, and introduce new toys and tricks if your pup is up for that. With cats I can read their cute little faces pretty well and give them what they want: play, pets, scratches, and/or, for example, introduce them to new smells to engage their minds.

About: I grew up in Europe with a black lab, who was my best friend. Later on, my aunt had a terrier who I used to walk every day. Currently, my sister in law has a wonderful golden doodle, that I hang out with as much as possible. My wife and I finally got our own dog this year. You can be sure that I will always put the dog first! I work for a European company (unfortunately also European hours) which is why I'm typically off at 1pm and have a lot of time to take care of your dog. About: I am an animal lover to my core! I've had dogs my whole life, and have been proudly owned by Labs, French Bulldogs, and currently a pair of Chihuahuas. I have also cared for cats as long-term fosters! I volunteer with the French Bulldog Rescue Network, and have attended obedience classes at Capital Dog Training with several of my dogs. I have a special affinity for the smoosh-face breeds and the gentle giants, but I've dog sat and walked all sorts, from Salukis to Shiba Inus! I also have experience walking multiple dogs at a time. I also adore my feline friends, and would be delighted to meet your pet, whatever the species - I have cared for lizards and rats, too! My life is incomplete without animals in it, and I would love to spend some quality one-on-one time with your furry friend(s)! I also have passed a federal background check. PLEASE NOTE: I generally do NOT accept first-time clients on less than one week's notice, although I am more willing to be flexible on that point for cats. I am working from home for the indefinite future, so I am fairly flexible to come at whatever times suit you and your pet's schedule the best. I do not care for pets in my own home, but will take every necessary precaution when caring for your animals in their home environment.

We as Valerie's owners added a complicated wrinkle -- I am traveling and have the Rover.com account, and my daughters were on the ground doing the drop off and pick up. Ana did not blink an eye over our logisitcal wrinkle. She was so easy to work with. My daughter said Ana was extremely welcoming and clearly a dog person, so Valerie was so excited to be at her place. We would definitely book with Ana again.
Kelly was able to watch our two pups when I had a last minute need. She was very communicative and let me know exactly what was going on. Her home was a great spot for my two dogs and they got a lot of energy in her large back yard. I’d definitely go to her again!
Chuy seemed to have a wonderful time at his evening with Oyindamola! When I picked him up he looked so happy and said goodbye to her at least 3 times. 😊 She was very kind and helped him feel comfortable when he was a little nervous at first. I highly recommend!

I have a Malinois Mix, so he is very high every not every Rover sitter has the skills to take good care of him. So, it really means a lot to me when someone seems to genuinely enjoy taking care of him, and really makes an effort to be active with him. Moises always goes above and beyond to care for my dog. He takes such good care of Sisko, and I can tell Sisko had a lot of fun with Moises + loves him. I couldn't recommend Moises more, and thanks so much!
