Anna was reliable, kind, and clearly loves dogs. My dog was always excited to see her and came home happy and well cared for. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. About: I’ve cared for many of my own dogs & dogs of friends, gf’s, etc. since the late 1980s. I’m a long time dog owner and dog lover, who is also a professional and former small business owner - who is mature, responsible, and serious. On the professional side, I have a combination of organizational/business management and basic sales/marketing & customer service training. I own a single family home with a large yard. My “main job” is in tech and I work from home nearly every day. I’m minutes away from a large park as well. The pets (and people) under my care receive a lot of loving attention in a safe, higher end neighborhood. I have a fenced yard backing up to a very serene, wooded/natural setting with tons of trees. If needed, my home has specific crates/cages and multiple rooms, depending on what the circumstances require. However, usually most pets are allowed to roam freely throughout most of the house and yard, as long as they do not conflict with or disrupt others.
About: Hi there!! I’m the type of girl who sees a dog and sits down on the sidewalk, grass, or floor just to pet them. I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve had a golden retriever since I was 10, which has given me a strong understanding of dogs’ daily needs, routines, and personalities. I genuinely enjoy everything from long walks and playtime to dog park adventures, cuddles, and belly rubs. I also have experience caring for cats and take pride in giving them the patience, attention, and affection they need to feel comfortable and happy. I treat every pet as if they were my own (how I would like my pup to get treated) and above all , always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well being. When i’m gone, my mom is always at home, so your doggy will never be alone. I truly love dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities, from energetic puppies to sweet senior pups. Whether your dog is tiny or extra large, laid back or full of energy, I’m confident in providing the care they need. I take the time to get to know each dog’s unique personality and routine, making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and right at home while they’re with me. I’ll tailor your dog’s stay to their unique personality, routine, and individual needs because every dog is different and deserves care that’s personalized just for them. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so each one gets the care and attention they deserve. Also, every dog that stays with me goes home with a bandana!😊 I’m currently a nursing college student on summer break which gives me the flexibility to focus on caring for your pup and providing them with plenty of love, attention, and personalized care. All day long! I’m happy to accommodate your dog’s individual needs and routines to ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for during their stay. Also there’s always someone at home! so they will never be by themselves.
About: 🐶 Dog Care Looking for a relaxing and stress-free home for your furbaby while you're away? Your dog will be well cared for by me and my partner and have a playmate, Channing, a friendly and mellow rescue dog. As a regular Rover user, we believe in providing high-quality and individual care for our dog guests. We adjust the level of care and activities depending on the dog’s health and owner’s preferences. Having my own senior dog who’s also blind, I have personal experience caring for fragile and older pups. 🏡 Home and Neighborhood Currently, I work full-time from home most of the week and I’m home most weekends. Our dog guests are allowed on the couch and bed, unless the owner prefers otherwise. We live in a walkable neighborhood with many tree-lined walking paths, bushes, parks and other friendly dogs and people. 📸 📱Daily Pictures and Updates We are very communicative and make sure owners get at least 3 updates with pictures and/or videos each day. 🦮 🐾 Walks Your dog will enjoy at least three 15-20 minute walks (usually at a casual pace and sniffing around the neighborhood) and ALWAYS leashed on our walks, usually using my own durable leash (the same rope material that rock climbers use). Their safety is my highest priority. 🧍🏽🐕 Meet and Greets Highly recommended for first-time guests. This allows the dogs to meet and I can get a good sense of your dog’s needs and how to best care for them. The meeting place is at a small park/playground in our neighborhood. 🗓️ 🚘 Drop Off and Pick Up Times *Weekdays: flexible, I’ll just need to know in advance to plan my schedule. *Weekends: Flexibility between 8am-7pm with advance notice. I work from home most of the week and am home most weekends, so your dog won’t be home alone too long but s/he should be comfortable to stay at home with Channing for a few hours. We go outside for 3 (sometimes more) walks each day usually at 7am, 12pm, 5pm and around 10pm. Your pup will have a great stay with us and Channing! Feel free to send us any questions! 💊 Medical Care We have experience administering medication to dogs, including oral and eyedrops (our dog is on several medications). For older and/or blind dogs, I carry them and use a baby gate as needed.
“My dog can be fear reactive when meeting new people but this was not the case at our meet and greet with Joann - Hazel was very comfortable with her, and even put her paws on Joann in a manner that suggested to me she really liked her. When I dropped her off for day care I watched as Hazel sidled over to her and stayed calmly at her side as I departed. Joann’s home is spacious and clean, and her fenced in backyard is a great feature. Hazel seemed to truly enjoy her time with Joann and we will certainly return for future care needs.”

“Meghan was amazing and took great care of our pup who has some serious separation anxiety. She sent updates and photos throughout his stay and was very flexible. I highly recommend her!”

I have a dog crates, and can keep dogs separate if need be.
“Diana did an excellent job watching my dog. She asked about his likes and dislikes beforehand and was good at communicating drop-off and pick-up. She kept him entertained throughout the day with games of fetch and walks. I would definitely have her watch my dog again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Kensington
Aly & Greg were really amazing. They took good care of our puppy. They were even very flexible and it allowed us the opportunity to attend to other commitments. They were very attentive to detail. Their small gestures went a long way with us. We will continue to book with them when we are visiting our family. We highly recommend them. Thank you again guys! Rio clearly had a great time!💙

I couldn’t be happier with Adi & Pat’s care for Louie! They communicate well and clearly, they asked good questions to make sure they’d cover all the bases for Louie’s care, and provided regular updates and photos, which were greatly appreciated. Louie came home happy and relaxed after his stay and knowing he had a comfortable time is great peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anyone looking for local sitters and I will certainly be rebooking for any future stays!

We as Valerie's owners added a complicated wrinkle -- I am traveling and have the Rover.com account, and my daughters were on the ground doing the drop off and pick up. Ana did not blink an eye over our logisitcal wrinkle. She was so easy to work with. My daughter said Ana was extremely welcoming and clearly a dog person, so Valerie was so excited to be at her place. We would definitely book with Ana again.

Kelly was able to watch our two pups when I had a last minute need. She was very communicative and let me know exactly what was going on. Her home was a great spot for my two dogs and they got a lot of energy in her large back yard. I’d definitely go to her again!

Chuy seemed to have a wonderful time at his evening with Oyindamola! When I picked him up he looked so happy and said goodbye to her at least 3 times. 😊 She was very kind and helped him feel comfortable when he was a little nervous at first. I highly recommend!

Diana is a kind soul and an amazing host for my puppy. She’s been very helpful with potty training and always makes sure everything feels safe and comfortable. Her adorable dog, Charlie, is super chill and friendly, which makes the environment even better. Diana is flexible, responsive, and you can feel her genuine passion for caring for animals. We’re already asking her to set up regular visits because we trust her completely. I couldn’t recommend her more!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
