Your dog will be well cared for by me and my partner and have a playmate, Channing, a friendly and mellow rescue dog. As a regular Rover user, we believe in providing high-quality and individual care for our dog guests. We adjust the level of care and activities depending on the dog’s health and owner’s preferences. Having my own senior dog who’s also blind, I have personal experience caring for fragile and older pups. 🏡 Home and Neighborhood Currently, I work full-time from home most of the week and I’m home most weekends. Our dog guests are allowed on the couch and bed, unless the owner prefers otherwise. We live in a walkable neighborhood with many tree-lined walking paths, bushes, parks and other friendly dogs and people. 📸 📱Daily Pictures and Updates We are very communicative and make sure owners get at least 3 updates with pictures and/or videos each day. 🦮 🐾 Walks Your dog will enjoy at least three 15-20 minute walks (usually at a casual pace and sniffing around the neighborhood) and ALWAYS leashed on our walks, usually using my own durable leash (the same rope material that rock climbers use). Their safety is my highest priority. 🧍🏽🐕 Meet and Greets Highly recommended for first-time guests. This allows the dogs to meet and I can get a good sense of your dog’s needs and how to best care for them. The meeting place is at a small park/playground in our neighborhood. 🗓️ 🚘 Drop Off and Pick Up Times *Weekdays: flexible, I’ll just need to know in advance to plan my schedule. *Weekends: Flexibility between 8am-7pm with advance notice. I work from home most of the week and am home most weekends, so your dog won’t be home alone too long but s/he should be comfortable to stay at home with Channing for a few hours. We go outside for 3 (sometimes more) walks each day usually at 7am, 12pm, 5pm and around 10pm. Your pup will have a great stay with us and Channing! Feel free to send us any questions! 💊 Medical Care We have experience administering medication to dogs, including oral and eyedrops (our dog is on several medications). For older and/or blind dogs, I carry them and use a baby gate as needed.

About: I am an animal lover to my core! I've had dogs my whole life, and have been proudly owned by Labs, French Bulldogs, and currently a pair of Chihuahuas. I have also cared for cats as long-term fosters! I volunteer with the French Bulldog Rescue Network, and have attended obedience classes at Capital Dog Training with several of my dogs. I have a special affinity for the smoosh-face breeds and the gentle giants, but I've dog sat and walked all sorts, from Salukis to Shiba Inus! I also have experience walking multiple dogs at a time. I also adore my feline friends, and would be delighted to meet your pet, whatever the species - I have cared for lizards and rats, too! My life is incomplete without animals in it, and I would love to spend some quality one-on-one time with your furry friend(s)! I also have passed a federal background check. PLEASE NOTE: I generally do NOT accept first-time clients on less than one week's notice, although I am more willing to be flexible on that point for cats. I am working from home for the indefinite future, so I am fairly flexible to come at whatever times suit you and your pet's schedule the best. We as Valerie's owners added a complicated wrinkle -- I am traveling and have the Rover.com account, and my daughters were on the ground doing the drop off and pick up. Ana did not blink an eye over our logisitcal wrinkle. She was so easy to work with. My daughter said Ana was extremely welcoming and clearly a dog person, so Valerie was so excited to be at her place. We would definitely book with Ana again.
Kelly was able to watch our two pups when I had a last minute need. She was very communicative and let me know exactly what was going on. Her home was a great spot for my two dogs and they got a lot of energy in her large back yard. I’d definitely go to her again!
I can’t say enough great things about Stephen. I’m so so happy to have found him & knew from the meet & greet that my sweet boy would absolutely feel at home there & he sure did! I didn’t worry about him at all during his daycare day. I look forward to having him regularly come when needed!
Noor was excellent! She accommodated us on super short notice when we were scrambling to find a sitter for our dog. Meeko (aforementioned dog) enjoyed herself very much and we received plenty of updates with pictures. So happy that we made this connection! Would absolutely work with Noor again.
