Big thanks to Natalia and Edward for taking such amazing care of our two cats! They were very attentive and communicative and made sure everything went smooth while we were away. I could tell my cats were happy and well-loved, which says a lot of the care Natalia and Edward provided. I really appreciated the updates—they kept me totally at ease. I am particularly thankful for the daily pictures and for flagging that one of the automatic feeders wasn't working properly. Reach out to them if you’re looking for trustworthy pet sitters.

About: I have had many dogs over the years, all adopted. Have fostered dogs too. Your pet will have access to several dog beds. My cairn and I would love to watch your dog with you are away. I am recently retired so am home most of the time. So your pet will get care and attention all day long that includes one daily walk. Additional walks available for a fee. I have a stockade fenced in back yard. I go outside several times during the day to hang on my deck and let my dog explore and play.

About: Hi! I’m Helena, a lifelong dog lover and experienced owner of a large, high-energy dog. I know that every dog has a different personality, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether your pup enjoys a long walk, a leisurely sniff around the neighborhood, or just some extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to tailor each visit to their needs. I’m comfortable with larger breeds and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. You can count on me to treat your dog like one of my own. I’ll provide plenty of updates, photos, and reliable care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I am available any day of the week. I know last minute needs happen so I am available same day if needed. Hope to see you soon! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions, keep fresh water available, clean up after walks, and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention and exercise. I’ll also send photo updates and messages so you know how they’re doing while you’re away. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and will always use safe leash-handling practices.

Jazzel was awesome! No complaints at all. I needed someone to check on my cats while I was away, and even with very short notice, she was able to fit us in her schedule and took great care of them. She sent multiple photos during every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind, and even my super skittish scaredy cat warmed up to her after a few days. I would 100% recommend her, and she’ll definitely be my first choice the next time I need someone to care for my cats! :)

About: I have significant experience caring for animals, including both dogs and cats. I have previously worked as a pet sitter, where I was responsible for ensuring pets were properly fed, exercised, and well cared for. I also had my own dog for about seven years before he passed away, which gave me long-term, hands-on experience in responsible pet ownership. I genuinely love animals and always make it a priority to ensure that the dogs and cats in my care are healthy, safe, and emotionally supported. I typically have open availability after work on Fridays and throughout the weekends. In addition to my strong caregiving abilities, I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet and be present when they want to play or go outside. During the week, I work in the mornings; however, I am available Monday through Friday in the afternoons. On Saturdays and Sundays, I am available all day. My older daughter is home during the mornings and will be assisting me with caring for the dogs or cats during that time to ensure they continue receiving attentive and reliable care. Your dog will have plenty of opportunities for exercise and play. Whenever they would like to go outside, I will gladly take them for a walk, to a nearby park, or allow them to play in the backyard or front yard under my supervision. They are also welcome to relax and move freely around the house. I will always be attentive to their needs and ensure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

About: I’ve had a dog for 12 years and family and friends have trusted me to take care of their dogs and give them the proper care. I am playing in a summer baseball league and I work at a summer camp for 4 weeks so during that time I’ll only be available on weekends but when that isn’t happening I am mostly available during the day. I routinely feed and walk my dog at home and go to my friend’s home when they are on vacation to feed and let their dog out.

About: I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, including puppies who require consistency, supervision, and reinforcement of basic training routines. I am also comfortable caring for senior pets who may need a slower pace, medication administration, extra patience, or special accommodations to keep them comfortable and safe. My goal is not only to meet a pet's basic needs but to make sure they feel loved, secure, and happy while their family is away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior changes, and I'm the kind of sitter who genuinely enjoys building a bond with the pets I care for. Whether it's helping a puppy burn off energy and stay on schedule or giving a senior pet the extra patience and comfort they deserve, I tailor my care to each animal's unique needs. I'm dependable, attentive, and believe pet parents should never have to wonder how their furry family member is doing, so I provide frequent updates and photos. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. ❤️🐾 Pet care fits easily into my daily life because I love animals and enjoy the companionship they bring. I make time each day for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention they deserve. This will vary depending on which service you offer. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication needs, and bedtime routines. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's environment and the owner's instructions. About: I've been caring for dogs since I was a kid. It all started with walking an older neighbor's dog, Hawk. At the time, I just thought it was nice that my neighbor trusted me to walk and play with him. Looking back, I realize that arrangement was mutually beneficial and served as my introduction to dog care. Since then, I've become the go-to person for family and friends to watch their pets, especially dogs. Most recently, I had the pleasure of caring for my great furphew while my niece settled into college life. I plan to adopt a puppy or dog one day. I'm just waiting until I'm sure I'm ready for the commitment. Until then, I'm happy to be a pup aunt! My availability recently changed. I'm generally available on weekends in the morning and afternoon. I try to keep my calendar updated, but will respond quickly if I'm unavailable for a request. I'm not able to provide care in my apartment, but I'm willing to drop in at your home and play for a bit, refill food and water, or let your dog out to explore and potty. Just let me know what you need, and I'll let you know if I can help.

Tenzin was excellent, very conscientious and communicative. She did everything I asked of her, and my pets (a dog and 2 cats) seemed to love her. She wasn't fazed at all by my 120 lb dog or my 6.5 lb cat; she handled both extremes with skill, confidence and care. I'll be looking to rebook her regularly from now on if possible!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Wheaton stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wheaton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Wheaton with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wheaton. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
