About: I have grown up with a big dog in my house, and now volunteer weekly in an animal shelter. I enjoy taking them on walks and caring for them as needed! I am currently on break from school, so have lots of time for dog walks and check-ins! I am free often this next month or so. I am very experienced working with different kinds of dogs from time at the shelter, and know how to handle different breeds and sizes. I will happily work to make sure your dog is comfortable with me!
“Annah is honestly hands down the best cat sitter ever. She knew all of Bee’s favorite toys and gave him the attention he craved. She would be my first choice in the future to look after my precious Bee!”

About: I have experience working with puppies all the way up to seniors. I always make sure any medication is taken on time. I have potty trained puppies in the past. I work full-time, but I work from home on Fridays. I also finish work early on Friday so evenings are great for me to pet sit. My weekends have lots of free time to spend walking or playing with dogs I have a fenced in yard for the dog to run around and play. I like playing with dogs so I would be keeping an eye on them as well. I'll make sure they have lots of fun and cuddles.
About: I have always owned dogs, and I couldn’t not imagine my life without animals. I’ve been taking care of all sorts of pets, starting around when I was 12 years old. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, fish, and even rabbits! I’d be honored to take care of your beloved animals as if they were my own. This includes kittens, puppies, and senior care. I’m a college student home for the summer with plenty of free time—perfect for long walks, playtime, and lots of love. I am quite flexible when it comes to scheduling and am open to longer hours. My service at the moment would be me caring for your pets in your home. Of course, I will treat your space with the same respect as I would my own. I will maintain your pet’s routine, keep things clean, and provide updates and pictures of your cutie.
“Along with having an authentic relationship with Miles, Armanush is an exemplary communicator who works diligently to ensure my pet’s needs are met during her drop-in visits.”

“Sam was wonderful. We needed someone to take care of our dog on relatively short notice for a cross country trip for the holidays and Sam was not only able to come check on and walk her twice a day but when we unexpectedly needed Luna out of the house for a few days, Sam was able to bring her home as well. Really excellent caretaker, flexible, and we will absolutely keep Sam in mind for all future needs!”

“Carolina is amazing! She was able to stop by and check-in on our cats on Christmas Eve. She made sure all of our cats were taken care of and comfortable and was quick in providing us updates. I highly recommend her to any pet parent!”

About: Hello, my name’s Alexa! I have six years of experience looking after and working with animals. I started with helping with my friends’ pets before moving to the apps care/wag. I’ve worked with plenty of cats, puppies, elderly dogs, high energy/reactive dogs and plenty others. I’ve administered oral and injectable medications to both dogs and cats and even a lizard. I’m detail oriented and focused, so I’ll follow your directions thoroughly and with so much love given to your critters. I’d love to be considered for your pet-sitting needs! I currently work part time as a bartender, so i’m around most mornings and afternoons! I’m not home too late from my job most nights. When i’m in a client’s home, I try to make the animals as comfortable with me as possible. I don’t make a lot of noise and I stick to their schedule as much as I can.
About: I’ve been a dog lover and care taker since I was 10. Friends and family can always count on me to take care of their pets and make them feel like they’re a part of the family. I also have experience with reactive dogs and can stay calm in stressful situations and ensure that the dog is safe and can calm down. Im available all day on the weekends., if you need someone to take care of your pup while you take that weekend get away, I’m there! I’m big on schedules and routine. I’m a firm believer that if your dog has a set schedule that’s what they’re use to then why change it. I’d ensure that the dog would be taken out at their normal times. I can also crate your dog if needed, or let them roam if that’s what they’re use to. I’m all about the comfort and safety for your pet.
About: I started sitting in earnest four years ago, but grew up with my own dogs and often babysat for friends and family in high school and college. I’ve cared for Greyhounds, Border Collies, Shihtzus, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, APBTs, one Mastiff, one Akita, one senior German Shpeherd, and one Border Terrier/Shihtzu puppy. I’m a teaching artist, so my fluctuating schedule doesn’t allow me to have my own dogs, but the long periods of remote work and time between gigs means I have very flexible availability and can fill the hole in my heart by being a reliable, loving sitter for others. I really cherish any opportunity to spend time with any pups and look forward to meeting yours! I’m between gigs at the moment, so save some odd appointments, I’m available for morning, afternoon, or evening drop in walks, daytime sitting, or longer overnight stays and in-home sitting. I always prefer to take a walk with pet parents leading when I first meet new dogs to get a sense of what they’re used to. For multi-day sitting, I always follow whatever norms you set in your home to make sure training stays consistent and there’s no confusion that may create anxiety for your pups. If working remotely, I try to stay where pups can see me and take lots of breaks for walks, pottying, and pets. Unless you have a specific walking route, I like to stay on quieter streets with slower speed limits and less traffic so walks are calm. I also like to allow lots of time for sniffing (smells stimulate your pup’s brain!) unless you have behavioral or training concerns about avoiding distractions during walks.
“Tran was amazing! She did an excellent job with drop-in visits while we were out of town. She took pictures and was incredibly reliable. I will absolutely book her again in the future.”
Bethesda dog parents share their Rover experiences
It’s inevitable that Evan has become Sunny’s best friend! After her quick walk due to her arthritis, Evan makes sure to give Sunny a long pet and brush time. This makes her super relaxed and snoozed for the rest of the afternoon. Very thankful how well he has taken care of our senior dog!

Ashley is incredible! She sent lots of updates and photos while she watched my dog Lincoln for a long weekend. She was also very good about communicating a small concern she had about him and I appreciated her taking the time to notice it and reach out to me about it. I would rebook and recommend Ashley time and time again!
Kae is literally the person I was hoping to find on here! He is kind, thoughtful, conscientious, communicative, and flexible. He is amazing with the animals and is careful to ask questions if he doesn’t understand something. You can always tell a true animal lover when you meet one! Kay goes above and beyond. I am so happy to have found him and trust him 100% to take good care of our animal crew when I’m away!

Summar is one of the most conscientious, dedicated and pleasant people I know. Her enthusiasm for caring for the pets is heart felt, and she naturally exudes the confidence that she can take care of whatever needs attention while taking care of your furry family and your home. When I couldn’t walk my most energetic dog due to recent surgery - a last minute thing - Summar broke away from her other obligations as time permitted to assist. I can honestly say she’s the real deal (it was with some hesitation that I wanted to share how remarkable this young lady is insofar as it might invite competition for her schedule).

Rebecca was absolutely wonderful with our dogs, Max and Muxu. From day one she was incredibly attentive, caring, and reliable, and she treated them like they were her own. She kept us consistently updated, was super communicative, and always made us feel completely at ease while we were away. We came home to two very happy, well-loved pups. Couldn’t recommend Rebecca more highly — we’re so grateful to have found her.

Tara was an absolute lifesaver! She watched Rodgers when I had to take an unexpected trip, and she was flexible when I kept having to extend services due to a terrible snowstorm. Tara even noticed when the salt on the sidewalk irritated my pup’s paws and took the initiative to clean them after walks. Couldn’t recommend her more!
