“Annah is honestly hands down the best cat sitter ever. She knew all of Bee’s favorite toys and gave him the attention he craved. She would be my first choice in the future to look after my precious Bee!”

“I won't repeat all the fantastic things that have already been said about Summar from other reviewers. But here's what I learned about Summar while she cared for our cat: 1) She truly loves animals and understands them extremely well thanks to years of experience. 2) She is extremely professional - a clear communicator, thorough in her work, always follows-up when necessary. 3) She will give you peace of mind (which is priceless!) while you're away from your pet. Overall, Summar took exceptional care of our cat for a week while we were away. I highly recommend her!”

About: Grew up on a farm with a variety of animals, always had a pet in my life. Understand the nonverbal queues of cats and dogs. I am currently in nursing school through the army therefore I am available most weekends and holidays, possibly weekdays after 6 pm, for special occasions. I can follow the exact routine that you set, less stress for you and less stress on them, respecting their space and I prioritize safety.
“Jony is a great sitter— communicative, responsive, friendly, and professional. We’re grateful he was available on such short notice and that he cared for our cats like they were his own. We especially appreciated the pictures and updates that showed each cat’s personality.”

“Landy is not only a wonderful person but you can tell she loves animals. My cat can be very stand fish to new people and immediately fell in love with Landy after the first visit. She also was very accommodating with my needs of pick up and drop off of my keys, just a wonderful wonderful sitter!”

“We utilized Kevin’s services for the first time during my outpatient surgery for a drop in visit. He inspires trust, which is extremely important on a day like that. He followed all arrangements well & kept us apprised. We certainly hope to hire him again!”

“Sam was wonderful. We needed someone to take care of our dog on relatively short notice for a cross country trip for the holidays and Sam was not only able to come check on and walk her twice a day but when we unexpectedly needed Luna out of the house for a few days, Sam was able to bring her home as well. Really excellent caretaker, flexible, and we will absolutely keep Sam in mind for all future needs!”

“Drew is just downright amazing! Braved the winter storm to take care of our boys and went above and beyond as a sitter. Extremely responsive and friendly to us and the cats. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.”

“Sharon took care of my two cats (mid-age and older cats) during a trip away. We met ahead of time to discuss cat needs and services, she communicated well while we were away, and took great care of the cats. I would give her a strong recommendation for anyone needing pet care!”

About: I’ve house sat a lot and cared for pets, including injured or sick dogs. I had dogs growing up as well! Open to almost any job, just can’t bring pets back to my place. I work 9-5, and I’m happy to feed, walk, and play with pets in the mornings before work and in the evenings. Overnights are also great if you don’t want your pet to get lonely at night. I cannot have pets at my home, but I can come to your home and care for the pet in the environment they are used to. Happy to be inside or outside as much as you’d like me to.
About: Growing up, cats and dogs were always part of my home — they weren't just pets, they were family. That foundation gave me a natural ability to read animal behavior, understand their needs, and make them feel safe and comfortable in any environment. Today I share my home with my toy poodle who I've raised since 2021 and my tabby cat who has been my companion since 2014. This means your pet is coming into an environment that is already pet friendly, calm, and loving — not an unfamiliar space that needs adjusting. As my own boss I have the flexibility to give your pet the time and attention they truly deserve. Just let me know your needs in advance and consider it done — I show up, every time. My home is a safe, loving and structured environment. With a fenced yard, a resident toy poodle for companionship, and a calm indoor space, your pet will feel right at home. I follow your routines closely and crating is always available if that’s what your pet is used to
About: I’ve been taking care of my own dogs ever since I was little, and to me, dogs are truly part of the family, they deserve all the love and genuine care in the world! While your dog is with us, they’ll be treated like a member of our family. I’ll make sure to give them the best care possible. I’m currently in grad school, which means I have some weekdays and weekends when I’m home and available. Just send me a quick message, and I’ll let you know right away if I can spend time with your pup :) Whether I’m home or just have a class that day, I love going on walks and will take your dog out at least three times a day, plus a short bedtime walk if they’re staying overnight. On busier days, your dog may need to be on their own for up to 3 hours, but they’ll still be safe and comfortable in my cozy apartment. I believe it’s so important for every dog to feel happy and to see their temporary home as family. I only host one dog at a time, so your pup will get my full attention. My place is warm and pet-friendly, and doggies always feel right at home here! I’m happy to go for walks for potty breaks, feed, and clean up after your doggy. I walk around 10,000 steps a day, so I’m a big fan of walking and enjoying the neighborhood I live in.

“Cynthia helped us out last minute, was incredibly responsive and took great care of Felix in our absence. I would definitely book her again and recommend her highly. Thank you Cynthia!”

Claire immediately made me feel at ease leaving my anxious dog and temperamental cat! They responded so well to her, and her patience and kindness were palpable. She was so communicative and responsive to my pets’ needs, I hope I get the pleasure of booking her again!

Catherine took wonderful care of my dogs and even my hamster, Henry, during her time with them! She did multiple check-ins throughout, sending regular updates and photos each time, and it was clear the pets adored her. My home was left spotless, and when one of my dogs got unexpectedly sick, she went above and beyond to help clean up without being asked. That level of care and attentiveness really stood out to me. I'll absolutely be booking with her again and recommending her to anyone looking for a sitter they can trust with their pets.

Once again, Daria took great care of our Pom Charlie, and we were able to have a great family vacation without worrying about him or our home. She is kind, empathetic, and playful when taking him on walks and getting him to take his meds. Charlie is always delighted to see her, and she conveys the same love and caring during their visits and in the many photos and messages she sends along the way. We are so fortunate to have her as our sitter and our newest friend.

Justin stayed in our home for five days and cared for our two dogs and two cats while we were away. We have a fairly complicated pet situation, including an older dog who can be wary of strangers and requires medication, as well as two cats living on different levels of the house, one of whom also needs medication. We had never left all of our pets for this length of time before, so it was important to find someone we could trust. Justin communicated well throughout our trip, kept us updated, and handled our pets’ routines and medication schedules responsibly. He managed a lot of moving parts and took good care of the animals and our home while we were away. We appreciated his reliability and the peace of mind he provided during our first extended time away from our pets.
Sunny had another wonderful week with Evan. Her energy level can swing from energetic to lazy within a few seconds and Evan can quickly tailor the afternoon walk depending on her mood. And he always makes sure that Sunny feels well rested and cared before finishing his check-in. I can see it so well from the pictures he takes of her 😂

Ashley is incredible! She sent lots of updates and photos while she watched my dog Lincoln for a long weekend. She was also very good about communicating a small concern she had about him and I appreciated her taking the time to notice it and reach out to me about it. I would rebook and recommend Ashley time and time again!
Kae is literally the person I was hoping to find on here! He is kind, thoughtful, conscientious, communicative, and flexible. He is amazing with the animals and is careful to ask questions if he doesn’t understand something. You can always tell a true animal lover when you meet one! Kay goes above and beyond. I am so happy to have found him and trust him 100% to take good care of our animal crew when I’m away!

Summar is one of the most conscientious, dedicated and pleasant people I know. Her enthusiasm for caring for the pets is heart felt, and she naturally exudes the confidence that she can take care of whatever needs attention while taking care of your furry family and your home. When I couldn’t walk my most energetic dog due to recent surgery - a last minute thing - Summar broke away from her other obligations as time permitted to assist. I can honestly say she’s the real deal (it was with some hesitation that I wanted to share how remarkable this young lady is insofar as it might invite competition for her schedule).

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
