About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs and children. While living in Colorado, I worked as a dog walker and nanny for families with large dogs and young children. Most of the dogs I cared for were medium to large breeds, and my experience ranges from puppies to senior dogs. Since moving to the DC area, I have continued working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I also live with a cat at home, so I am comfortable caring for both dogs and cats. While she kept everything running smoothly inside the home, I naturally gravitated toward spending time with the dogs. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of caring for many wonderful pups: • Koni (German Shepherd) – A loyal and gentle boy I cared for from adulthood through his senior years. Caring for him taught me patience and attentiveness when supporting older dogs. • Romeo (Golden Retriever) & Henry (Shih Tzu) – Two sweet pups from the same household who I helped care for from puppyhood. Looking after them taught me how to balance the needs of dogs with very different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. • Lacie (Medium-sized mixed breed) – A young adult dog who was the best of both worlds: very active and playful outside, but also a needy lap dog at home. She taught me how to balance exercise with affection and downtime. • Three German Shepherd–Black Lab mix puppies (3 weeks old) – Tiny foster puppies that required the same level of attention as a human baby. About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, enjoying doing things such as basic obedience, hiking trips, and agility. I also grew up with horses so I have experience working with larger animals. I did not grow up with cats but have cat sit for several people and fostered a kitten for a summer in college! About: I’ve been around pets from a young age, growing up with a dog, cat, fish, and birds. I especially love dogs. I had a bulldog who was my best friend and companion for over 12 years but she recently passed and we’re missing her companionship. About: I work from home and am very active! First dog walk is about 5/5:30 AM and again every 2-3 hours. High energy dog? No problem.. if it’s not raining I have rollerblades :) I’ve had dogs since I was 8 years old .. from a chihuahua to German shepherd to Rottweiler to teacup pups. Sonja came by for a house visit to look after Hammy and Melon one evening while we were out at a social event, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Justin stayed in our home for five days and cared for our two dogs and two cats while we were away.
