About: I am very reliable, open, and patient. I have grown up with dogs of all sizes, cats, and even a lizard! I am an active individual who enjoys time outside. I am a teacher looking for additional income that fits with my work schedule. I am open to chat about what you and your family need! I care for pets in clients homes. I treat all pets like my own, treating them with patience and kindness. I always intend to build trust between myself and the animals I interact with. I have experience with senior dogs as well.
“Elizabeth is incredible. She is communicative, responsive, and loves my dog as if she was her own. She always gives updates and is clear with expectations and timing, which I greatly appreciate. Sweet potato loves Elizabeth!”

“Sarah was wonderful with the cats. They got along with her really well and she was very thorough in giving us updates and photos. I will definitely be asking her to cat sit again in the future!”

About: Note: Be sure to check my calendar for availability before booking. Thanks! I adopted my Puerto Rican rescue named Leo in 2019 and he has completely changed my life. He can be reactive on walks and is a super anxious boy in general so I have experience managing nervous dogs. Leo has taught me to see every dog as a cherished family member and loyal companion. When I meet a dog, I want to make them feel as loved and special as they make us feel everyday. My goal is to spend as much time as possible with dogs and I would love to meet yours! I know how exhausting it can be to work and meet your pets needs, and I would love to give you some peace of mind knowing they’ve gotten attention, love, and exercise while you’re busy. I am a student home for the summer and am free until September, but am taking a couple of weekends away so make sure to check my calendar. I am open to spending time with your dog in your home during the day and stay overnight for up to a week. I can do mealtimes and take walks/backyard playtime. And of course, will include endless cuddles.
“Mitzi was really great! Communicated consistently and her care for my cat while I was away gave me real peace of mind. And my cat was definitely much happier when I came back home.”

“Finlay is excellent - she took lots of time to make sure my cats were well cared for and took care of small things around the house that completely slipped my mind. (Like putting our forgotten bananas in the freezer)”

About: I've cared for small and medium size dogs for 8+ years. I am well practiced at picking up on behavioral cues for how and if a dog wants to play or be left alone. Additionally, I have experience giving dogs eye drops, liquid medicine, and pills. My schedule is flexible and I can easily accommodate it to fit your pup's needs! I am available throughout the week (including weekends) and throughout the day. Due to my flexible schedule, I will focus on giving your dog the attention it deserves. I ensure that your dog is happy and gets some energy out during our walk or play session. I can notify you during the visit and send a picture so you know your pup is in good hands. Before I leave, I provide water, toys, and food if requested. I also have experience crating dogs.
About: My family had a basenji for 16 years that we adored. I miss my dog walks and a friend suggested Rover. I would be happy to take your dog for a walk or run on trails in the woods or on a sidewalk whatever is your dogs preference. My daughter has 2 Australian cattle dogs that I have taken care of in my home many times. I have also taken care of neighbors and friends dogs, cats, rabbits and fish over the years. Other pets we’ve had in my home besides a dog were hamsters, a pet rat, a hedgehog, fish, parakeets and cockatiels. I have my office in my home and sometimes have flexible hours but most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays I’m available between 8 AM and 5 PM to take your dog for a walk. At this time I won’t be offering in home care. But if I do in the future I live in an area with walking trails.

About: I’ve been around cats and dogs ever since I was young. As an adult, my friends have asked me to watch their pets multiple times. Taking care of the same animals again and again has enabled me to build trust with them and we have a great time together. Highlights include play fetch, scratches behind the ears, and exploring the great outdoors on walks. I work a regular 9-5 job, which allows me to walk or drop-in on your pet when life takes you out of town for the weekend. From dog walking to drop-ins, I like to keep the animal’s routine so they feel comfortable and safe. I always follow the instructions the owners leave for me so that the pets can continue to receive the best care possible.

About: I have over seven years of experience caring for my own pets, including a dog, cat, and two chinchillas, along with six years of consistent pet-sitting for neighbors. I’ve provided house sitting, overnight care, puppy care, and drop-in visits. I’m comfortable with a variety of pet personalities and routines, and I focus on keeping pets safe, happy, and well cared for. I currently have a very flexible schedule while I wait for the school year to begin, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I am available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, and extended stays, and I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine to ensure they receive consistent care, attention, and companionship. I provide care exclusively in my client’s home to ensure pets remain comfortable in their familiar environment. I prioritize safety at all times by keeping dogs securely leashed during walks and outdoor time, and I carefully follow all instructions provided. I am attentive, respectful of your home, and committed to creating a safe, calm, and trustworthy experience for both you and your pet.
“Amber has been great each time she has cared for Nugget. She’s patient with Nugget’s mini attitude and has even been able to pet her which is rare for someone to do when I’m away. I appreciate the bond she’s established and how she keeps in contact with me. Amber will even do extra tasks like clean the litter area even though I forgot to ask that when we first established the details of care. Amber is and will continue to be my first call when I need someone to care for my fur baby.”

About: Hi! I have grown up with German Shepherds all my life - mine are currently 2 and 3, so high energy! I have petsit all sizes and am open to working with all dogs. Comfort level with 1-2 dogs at a time, most open to walks and checking in. Happy to practice tricks and training with dogs, I work with my own dogs and used to work in behavioral research so I am familiar with reinforcements. I currently work full-time during the day with a commute. I am open to weeknight petsitting but would need to discuss what works best for my schedule so your pet gets all the love and attention they need! Most available on weekends I have a fenced yard that my two German Shepherds play in. I also walk them, one at a time, on a leash. Mine are very excitable, so I work with them on leash training so they are not pulling and do not bark at other dogs.
“Isabelle and her family did a great job watching my cat for four days. I came back to a clean apartment/litter box and a very happy, healthy kitty. And the video updates everyday were fabulous!”

About: I have owned dogs and cats my whole entire life. I have dog-watched for neighbors since I was about 12 years old. I am very loving towards animals and am skilled in washing and walking them. There is nothing better than getting to hang out with animals as they provide an unmatched love in our lives. I currently own two disabled dogs so I like to think no challenge is too big or too small. I enjoy dogs and cats of all sizes. I am very good with time management so I plan to work with you to make sure your pet is getting the best attention while you are away from home. I appreciate your time in considering me for the jobs! I work a remote 9-5 so most evenings I am open but I am willing to schedule something out between work and your pet if you need me mid day I listen to the energy the animal is giving off. I try my best to clear myself of negative feelings and stress so the animals feel more at ease amongst my presence
“Juan is AMAZING!! He went above and beyond with communication and over all care! My pup has special meds and Juan had no problem with it when feeding breakfast and dinner(: Juan went out of his way to go to a pet store to grab a sweater for my pup because it was cold out during their walks 🥹 It was so comforting to know Brody was with someone who goes the extra mile!! 10000% recommend!!!”

About: We would love to take care of your small hypo-allergenic dog for you while you are away. Our shih-tzu, Snuffy, is great with other dogs and has plenty of toys to share. Your dog will enjoy a minimum of two longer walks per day and two additional shorter potty breaks. We will text you photos of your dogs in action or lounging. Your dog will not be left alone for long. I work mostly from home. I have two boys, ages 15 and 18 who are very responsible and help with the care of your dog. Our dog sleeps wherever he wants, and so can your dog. We have a fenced in backyard, but we supervise the dogs while they are in the backyard because we have a pool. We have four of us living and working at home who are available to feed, walk, and entertain your dog. We feed the dogs in the morning and in the evening. We have tons of dog toys and a fenced in back yard for potty breaks. Since we already have two dogs, our home is dog proof. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and our dogs share their toys. We send pictures every day with updates.
“I would highly recommend booking with Dana. She was consistent with timing, left my apartment as I had found it, and sent photos of my pet every visit so that I knew she was okay.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - McLean
Amanda did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs while we were gone for a few days! They were clearly very happy when we got home and she kept us posted with lots of cute pictures while we were gone. She even left them some treats and made sure their things were tidy on her last visit. We would 100% have her care for them again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing experience! This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone else, and everything went perfectly. He followed all our instructions, kept us updated, and took excellent care of our dogs. We felt completely comfortable knowing they were in great hands. We will definitely be booking with him again in the future. Highly recommend!

Victoria willingly accepted to sit my dog while I went on a last-minute work trip. She sent daily pictures, kept up with the dog's schedule flawlessly, and maintained constant communication. Truly a professional in every sense of the word. I'll seek her services again and recommended her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy sitter.

Nina and Amax took wonderful care of my dog, Winter. From the start they were responsive, kind, and clearly experienced with dogs. They kept me updated and made sure Winter was comfortable and well cared for while I was away. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring sitters, and I would happily book with them again.
This is the third time we have booked Amber for drop-in visits. She is an excellent pet sitter. Our dog is nervous around strangers. Amber has made him feel at ease and he looks forward to seeing her. She communicates frequently and always sends photos. We very much appreciate Amber and will definitely book her again.

Sarah is exactly who you want to look after your beloved pets when you need help! The dogs love her and enjoyed play and cuddle time with her. Sarah stayed much longer than expected and went out of her way to make our babies happy. We can't recommend her enough, thank you!!!

Jessica was very communicative and responsible in helping let our puppy out throughout the week. She was able to help last minute and make adjustments as necessary as well as provide pictures and feedback about our puppy. She made us feel very comfortable and Sonny loves her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
