Hey there! I'm Amber, and I'm so happy you're here! Animals have always been my passion—I've shared my life with dogs of all sizes and personalities, cats, reptiles, exotic fish, and even a hedgehog. With professional training from an emergency veterinary clinic, I'm equipped to handle a multitude of situations, from understanding your pets unique personality to recognizing when they might need medical attention or administering medication. Being active and outdoorsy, I love keeping pets engaged and happy. Whether it's morning runs, trips to the dog park, or simply lounging at home, your pup will get all the exercise and TLC they need. If your baby is social, they're more than welcome to join me at my dog-friendly office for extra love and attention! With over 8 years on Rover and a wealth of foster experience, I understand how important trust is when it comes to your family. Amber couldn’t have been a better pet sitter. I have two cats and two dogs and all of them have strong personalities. Amber went above and beyond to take good care of them, including climbing a fence to get one of my cats out of a tree. She was very communicative, and she sent lots of pictures that gave me comfort. My cats and dogs looked happy and healthy throughout my entire trip, which was nearly 2 weeks. When I came home, I found that she had left me a very nice note, and everything was as I had left it. I will definitely use Amber again.

Schedule
During the week, I work from my office in downtown DC, typically from 10 AM to around 4 PM. If your dog is social and comfortable around people and other pups, they're welcome to join me in my dog-friendly office. Alternatively, I can swing by home during lunch breaks for some quality time. For shorter stays, I'm flexible and can work from home to ensure your pet feels secure and cared for.

Safety, trust & environment
I have two cats which will be in private rooms for the duration of your pets stay. My cats are not unfriendly, however I am big on responsible introductions which may take longer than time allows. Aside from the bedroom, your pet will have free range of my apartment. I respect your pet's routine and preferences, whether they prefer a cozy crate or free roam. When caring for pets in your home, I adapt to their needs and routines. Whether it's regular walks, playtime, or visits to the dog park, I'm here to keep your pet happy and comfortable. I'm experienced in house sitting and drop-in visits, and understand everyone has their own preferences that I am happy to adapt to.

A typical day
I love adventuring and would be excited to keep up your pets routine! Whether that's going to the park for a long walk or visiting friends at the dog park, I am always happy to get out the house for some fresh air and exercise. If your pet prefers indoor activities, we'll have plenty of fun with interactive playtime and relaxing together. I love capturing moments, so expect lots of fun photos and videos, along with a daily "report card" full of updates on our activities and your pet's well-being.
