About: I’ve spent over 12 years working professionally in veterinary medicine (emergency and critical care, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and everything in between) and I genuinely love every bit of it. Give me a nervous senior pup, a giant breed who thinks they’re a lapdog, or a dog who just needs a little extra patience, and I’m in my element. I’m comfortable giving medications, caring for senior and special-needs pets, keeping an eye out for anything that seems off, and staying calm and steady with animals who are scared or stressed. To me, making an animal feel safe is just as important as taking care of everything on the checklist. But honestly, my love for animals started long before my career did. I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life, and these days that includes my own Greater Swiss Mountain Dog — so big and giant breeds have a very special place in my heart! I know it’s a big deal to hand your pet over to someone else, and my goal is always to make that handoff feel easy for both of you. Tell me your routine and I’ll follow it to the letter. In return, you’ll get plenty of updates, photos, and probably too many exclamation points, because I really do love this stuff. Whether your pet needs extra patience, medication, a long walk, couch cuddles, or someone who understands that their “weird little thing” is actually very important, I’m here for it. 🐾 I’m currently in graduate school, which gives me flexibility outside of my class hours for walks, drop-ins, evenings, weekends, and house sitting. I’m very comfortable working around established feeding, medication, potty, and exercise schedules (if your dog expects breakfast at 7:02 AM, I understand that 7:15 is simply unacceptable 😂). I’ll always be upfront about my availability before booking so you know exactly what to expect. Safety is always my first priority. With 12 years of veterinary experience, I’m very comfortable reading animal body language, handling nervous or fearful pets, administering medications, and recognizing when something seems different from a pet’s normal behavior. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, harnesses, feeding instructions, and any household routines you have in place. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I want everything to feel as familiar and low-stress as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, respect your home, and never force interaction with a pet who needs time or space. If anything concerns me while you’re away, you’ll hear from me — I’d always rather communicate too much than leave you wondering.

Potty breaks and walks are always supervised and on leash. When there’s more than one dog, I introduce them slowly, watch how they get along, and give everyone space to settle in and get to know us. While Ollie is currently staying with my parents as I settle into the DMV area, I’m excited to share that same love and attention with other pets. I’m especially great with energetic, playful dogs who love staying active, whether that means long walks, outdoor adventures, or plenty of playtime! I also enjoy working with puppies and reinforcing basic training commands like sit, stay, and come through patience and positive reinforcement. About: I have owned 5 small dogs in the past 20yrs and have taken cared of different kinds of dogs as well. I have experience with puppies and seniors, big and small dogs, administering medication. I currently have 3 little dogs - an intact Frenchie and a pair of Chihuahua-JRT siblings that are spayed and neutered. I can read most dogs’ body language, and have learned from first hand experience that even the ‘friendliest’ dogs can have their triggered moments. So I always make a conscious effort to feed each dog separately and look out for triggering behaviors like resource-guarding. I work from home so your pup will rarely be left alone. I have a single family home with a big front and back yard that are fenced so they can run around. I’m flexible with pick up and drop offs and cancellations. I understand things happen, and plans change. I am happy to work with you on your requests. Rest assured that I will treat your pups like I would want mine to be treated when I’m away! I let my dogs out every 2hrs or whenever they want to go play since we have a fenced front and back yard. So your dogs will too! I work from home so I can keep your dog company all day. Our dogs usually get an afternoon treat in between meals, and again before bed.

About: Growing up, we had almost as many dogs as we did kids in the house. My parents were huge pet people, so I guess they just passed it down to me as well however, even as a child, I always had a love of animals. There were many times that I brought home birdies with broken wings, or tried to sneak frog in the house without my mom noticing. My love for animals only grew the older I got but also my education. Being able to work directly under licensed veterinarians, gave me the opportunity to understand treatment plans for minor and major issues that animals can face. I was given the opportunity to work with newborn animals along with those that require senior care. I’ve also had the pleasure of taking care of animals that are expecting and helping to bring new life into the world. It was during this time, but many friends and neighbors took the opportunity to ask me to watch their animals. Anytime they went on vacation or maybe just had to take a long business trip. Even when an animal is in their home, having a new person around can still sometimes be nerve-racking. But I take pride in knowing that I’m able to make sure they feel comfortable and loved even when their parents are away. I work from home teaching English as a second language. This allows me a very flexible schedule throughout the week. I have open availability Monday through Friday. I’m also able to help out on the weekends depending on the timing. However, I’m willing to be flexible. Traveling as an adult with pets can sometimes be difficult. I remember being stressed over whether or not I’ve picked the right boarding facility, or worrying that they would have too many differences in their day-to-day routine while I was away. Pets deserve to feel just as loved and cared for even when moms and dads need a vacation. I would love to be able to provide both you owners and your pets with a sense of trust and security.
