About: I’m known as a bit of a pet whisperer, able to earn the trust of shy kitties and matching the energy of playful pups. As a lifelong animal lover and proud cat mom myself, I'm excited to meet you and learn the needs of your pets! I bring years of hands-on experience, both with my own pets and caring for others'. While I'm a certified Cat-Lover, I grew up with both dogs and cats which gives me a well-rounded approach to pet care. I love getting to spend time walking, training, and playing with dogs too! If you're looking for a reliable, attentive, and patient petsitter/walker who will care for your pets as if they were their own, I'm your person! I’ve helped train dogs, introduce pets to one another, administered medications, and worked with dogs & cats of all ages. I have also adapted dog training techniques to teach cats name recall and tricks. (Yes, cats can learn if you know how to speak their language!) Getting to know each pets' routine, personality, and interests has helped me spot any subtle changes in behavior that can signal when something’s off. In my free time, I love getting to spend time with animals - whether that's taking my furbaby Salem out for a chill picnic, visiting cat cafes, playing with friends’ dogs, or petsitting! Fun fact: I always seek out bookshops with cats when I travel, and have done so from Venice Beach, CA to Venice, Italy! I'm available for drop-ins and pet-walking on weekdays and weekends while you're away. I'm happy to care for your pets during the day or evening for as little or long as you'd like, however I'm not available for overnight sitting. With a background in youth education, I'm transitioning between careers, so I have plenty of time to spend doting on your pets as if they were my own! I like to meet clients and their pets in a preliminary meeting before confirming the booking. This can be in public or in your space, so I can learn all about their routine, environment, care needs, and interests. This is also a great chance for your pets to be introduced to me with you present, which can put them at ease! Building trust is key when caring for cats and dogs, so I'm very big on letting them come to me and allowing them to adjust to a new person on their own terms. Learning what motivates your pets and what brings them a sense of safety will help me best care for them. If they're very food motivated (like my Salem!) breaking out treats is a good start, and if they're more playful then getting some of their favorite toys can draw them out as well. If you have a very independent cat who prefers quiet company or a super affectionate one who wants constant snuggles, I'm happy to adjust to those boundaries! As a cat parent myself, I understand how important communication about your pets' well-being is. I'll always provide updates and adorable photos of your cat from each visit. Getting to know your pets over time will help me identify any notable changes that could indicate recommending a visit to a vet.
“Mya helps us with our dog and three cats and I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s always on time and very communicative with updates about our pets. Mya is very good with animals…in fact our shy cat got in her lap the first day that she came to our house. Mya is the best!”
About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and I love them dearly! I’m looking for some excitement and would love to give extended care to a dog. I work full time but my current schedule is 7-3. I live 15 minutes from my job so I would be able to monitor the dog if they needed extra care through the day. I’m also willing to set up cameras to monitor the dog. I live in a pet friendly apartment. There is a lovely walking trail behind my house as well as many parks in the area! Plenty of spaces for activity!
About: I grew up with small and big dogs and have helped walk dogs for neighbors. I have had my current dog since she was 9 weeks old so I understand puppy energy and the training process. Happy to reinforce training as you wish and any house rules. I am a volunteer with a local dog rescue. I work full time, but my hours vary. Depending on the day, I may be available during the day or evening for a walk or some playtime. Weekend availability will vary. Please feel free to send a message regarding my availability! I will ask for detailed care instructions prior to the booking so I can get to know your pet and their needs. For any questions or concerns, I will reach out to keep you in the loop.

“Alison is our #1 choice for her attention to detail, above-and-beyond communication, and loving care for our cats. It's difficult to leave a geriatric pet, and this time there was a medical situation. Alison's prompt and thorough notes allowed us to make the right choice in calling the vet, and she was certain to make sure he was recovered and settled after his return; even giving him oral medicine (quite an accomplishment). All that plus winning over our other cat (the diva) and sending fantastic photos.”
“Pamela was a huge help by stepping in last minute for us over several days of drop-ins. We have a super needy Frenchie, and Pamela handled her effortlessly and sent us great write ups and super cute pictures on their daily adventures together. She even brought in some unexpected packages that arrived while we were away. We highly recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to use her again! She definitely exceeded expectations!”

About: I had I dog for 13 years. I have also Fostered several dogs and found them forever homes. I love animals and look forward to getting to know your pets! I am a teacher, so aside from travel, I am free to pet sit and walk most days of the week with a flexible schedule. I have experience with crating dogs if necessary. I have plenty of experience with walking dogs. My number one priority is making you and your fur baby feel safe!
“Molly was great! She came to do a meet and greet ahead of time so we— and our pup— could meet her. Our pup liked her and Molly kept us posted on how her visit was going. Will definitely continue to request her!”

“I have had Aimee watch my cat Harley multiple times. She goes above and beyond to take care of Harley and I appreciate all of the photos and updates she sends. Will continue to use her in the future!”
About: As a grad student, I can’t have a dog of my own right now, so I'd love the opportunity to give yours all the walks, love, and attention they deserve! I grew up with a dog and have past experience working with shelter dogs, helping with training and rehabilitation, so if your dog needs some extra TLC, I'm happy to provide that as well. I make sure to schedule my time so that your dog gets consistent care and attention. Please feel free to send a message regarding my availability! Keeping your dog safe and comfortable is very important to me. I always double-check locks, doors, and leashes. I also value clear communication; any details about your dog’s preferences or personality help me provide the best care! Please let me know if your dog is reactive, pulls at the leash, or prefers quieter routes.
“Ashley is wonderful with our dog! She took great care of him while we were on vacation, leaving us at peace knowing he is safe with her drop in visits. He seems to miss her, as he is looking out the door to see if she is coming by. We will definitely use Ashley again!”

“Ozgenur did a wonderful job caring for Bo. She was courteous, kind, and on time. She made sure that I was notified about their day while I was away and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you!”

“She did a great job with my cats when I was on the vacation for a week. She went above and beyond on her drop in visits and even left a nice bonus of printed pictures of my cats. Which is understandable because they are very photogenic.”

Many thanks, Samantha! So grateful we connected here. She’s been so good to and with my dog. He’s a grumpy old guy but she’s won him over :). She’s been great at keeping us in the loop with updates and pics, responsive to what he’s in the mood for (eg walk v hanging in the yard) and keeping an eye on how he’s doing. Really appreciate her working us into her schedule as we quickly became one of her regular clients. Highly recommend Samantha!

Josh is amazing - attentive, kind, and caring with our two big dogs. They get so excited whenever he walks through the door, and after their hour-long walks, they come home happy, relaxed, and completely worn out! We're incredibly grateful to have found Joshua. It's clear how much he cares about the dogs he works with, and it gives us great peace of mind knowing they're in such good hands. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our pups and for being so awesome! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent customer service!!! Lei is a very special kind of sitter !!! She was VEEEERY patient with our pet Milo, who is very grumpy and reactive. She won his trust and he became very fond of her. I definitely recommend Lei to be your next sitter!!! Thankful and honored by her caring demeanor.

Victoria willingly accepted to sit my dog while I went on a last-minute work trip. She sent daily pictures, kept up with the dog's schedule flawlessly, and maintained constant communication. Truly a professional in every sense of the word. I'll seek her services again and recommended her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
