About: I love working with dogs! I grew up with a variety of breeds and I am very patient and caring with all animals. My family had both large German shepherds and small miniature poodles, so I feel extremely comfortable with any size dog. I currently have a small rescue poodle mix, who I spoil just a little too much. I have also fostered and sat for various breeds and I really enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality and temperament. About: I’m a pre-vet student who just graduated from UVA and has grown up with two large dogs! I’ve also recently owned a hamster from a college lab! I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family including puppies, kittens, and senior dogs and cats. I also have about 100 hours of dog walking experience from a shelter so I am comfortable with reactive/fearful/energetic dogs, and another 100 from shadowing at a vet practice. I just got a vet assistant job so usually it requires me to be away for 6 hours! I can only do all day pet sitting on Wednesdays and Sundays which I have off! I always make sure that I understand the instructions that I’m given and maintain clear communication with the owner if I have any questions. About: I’ve been caring for pets for the past five years. Through petsitting for friends, multiple overnight housesitting stints, and work at a dog daycare, I’ve gained experience with lots of different animals including small and large dog breeds of varying energy levels, cats, fish, rabbits, and chickens. I’ve become best friends with a few dogs who love people but struggle with other dogs, so I’m very good at shortening the leash and making space when needed. Ultimately, my goal is to make your pet feel safe and happy and to give you peace of mind while you have to be away. I work part time and remotely, so my schedule is flexible! I have church and family responsibilities that command my attention during the week, but I still have plenty of time, especially on the weekends! Most of my past experience petsitting has been with overnight stays.
