About: I have almost 30 years of experience taking care of pets, from mostly dogs, to gerbils, to fish, to rabbits, and even cats. It all started by taking care of my aunt and uncle's dog and cat while they were away. I also helped my cousins with their rabbits when we were younger. Over the years, my family had many goldfish (won from fairs or carnivals), two gerbils, and a black lab who lived almost 14 years. In college, one of my roommates got a rabbit that we all worked together to take care of as well. Now, I mainly help family and friends with their pets while they're away, but I would love to branch out. I enjoy taking dogs for walks and playing with them in the backyard (or inside a house if it's allowed). I'm looking to try this out as a side gig and possibly turn it into more, so I am dedicated to find time that meets your schedule. Since I live in an apartment, I am unable to take care of any pets (not already listed on my lease) in my home. However, I am willing to come to your house and will make sure to lock any doors used and make sure everything is cleaned up as much as possible before leaving.

“Marcela is our go-to fur baby sitter. She is also very flexible with our last minute trips. She is trusted by our family to provide the care and attention needed while we are away.”

About: I used to work at Felix and Oscar so if you need any food recommendations, i’m your girl! I also have walked dogs for about 2 years as well as overnight care and drop ins. I just graduated from James Madison University and I am working a part time job so I am available to work mornings and afternoons as well! I have a 1 year old puppy and I take care of him as well as train him. We play, I give treats, and many walks! I also had a puppy throughout all my childhood and he lived to be 16 years old, so i have experience with senior dogs.
About: Hi! I’m Jaqueline, and I’ve always had a strong love for animals. In high school, I took an academy course in veterinary science, which taught me the basics of animal health, safety, and proper care. I’m very cautious and attentive when it comes to animals, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just companionship, I treat every pet like my own and pay close attention to their needs and behavior. Hi! I currently work part-time at a photography company and also run my own small business. I attend NOVA, but I have a flexible schedule and love spending my free time with animals. I’m reliable, attentive, and always make sure pets feel safe, happy, and cared for. During the summer, I’ll have even more availability to give your pets plenty of attention and care. I have a fully fenced yard and live in a quiet, peaceful, safe neighborhood, which provides a great space for pets to play and enjoy the outside

They bring me genuine happiness, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. While I may be new to pet walking professionally, I’m committed to earning your trust by providing dependable, attentive, and compassionate care every time. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m available most days and can be flexible with timing, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. I enjoy staying active, so walks and spending time with dogs is something I genuinely look forward to. I’m reliable and will make sure your pet gets the time, attention, and care they need. I’m a huge Dog Lover and I will do my best to give your dog a fun and enjoyable time. I am pretty flexible in the evenings every day and I will be available during most weekends. This is something I love to do so please feel free to contact me and I would love to meet you and your furry friend! I’m currently pretty flexible with my schedule. I work part-time from home and I have a morning routine but fairly flexible schedule during the daytime. About: I’ve been taking care of puppies since I was 15, back in my home country; I used to take them for walks, bathe them, feed and water them, play with them, and give them lots of affection! I currently work part-time in catering events; my work schedule and days vary. Generally, I am free in the mornings; on Sundays and Mondays, I am almost always free all day. I have a pretty big yard and a very friendly 16-year-old little dog to keep him company! The house is also large and cool; it is never too cold or too hot. We are careful with food and water—always bottled, never from the tap.
About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life and currently care for two of my own. I’ve had several animals fish, turtles, and birds. I have a client that brings their dog oder for sleepovers when they are out of town as well. I’m also reliable, communicative, and always make sure pet parents are well informed and reassured. I have a flexible schedule and plenty on time on weekdays and weekends to give your pet attention, love, and care- fitting them easily into my daily routine. Sarah was amazing. She played with Chesney, brushed him (and found the brush even when I couldn’t clearly remember where it was) and actually hid and observed him to figure out how he was getting through the fences inside the house. Chesney is a big guy and high energy and it didn’t faze Sarah! She kept me posted and really went the extra mile to make sure Chesney and my home were safe. I’d recommend Sarah to anyone and will definitely use her again
David was a great sitter for our pit mix. We had a hiccup at the beginning with our dog being aggressive at first. David communicated this promptly and we discussed a plan for support. There were no further issues and our dog was well cared for in our absence.

Cassidy has been amazing with Sienna! She has been so patient with my tiny puppy and has really helped make my transition back to work much less stressful. I always appreciate her updates and photos, and it’s clear she treats Sienna with kindness and care. Knowing someone I trust is checking on my puppy gives me so so much peace do mind! It truly does!

Krysta was communicative and extremely responsive before, during, and after planning and check ins with our big dog. She shared photos and updates, which gave us such peace of mind while away. Our pup was happy and relaxed with her! We lost connection while away and though we got it resolved, she even offered to come back and check things out. We really appreciated her services and resolve to make sure Meeko was taken care of.

Ella was absolutely amazing with my dog Chewbacca over the weekend! She treated my little boy with so much love, care, and respect the entire time. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. Chewbacca was so happy and comfortable with her, and you can truly tell she genuinely loves animals. Communication was great, she was very kind, attentive, and went above and beyond. I will 100% be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend Ella to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pets!

Dana is a rare gem find!!! Trustworthy reliable and great communication. I have two dogs she walks together who no matter how much training we do always act like they’ve never been outside of leashes before. One is aggressive relative the other is easily overly excited. She handles them like an absolute champ and I know they are always safe in her hands!

Angela was amazing with Tofu. She spent plenty of time playing with Tofu and petting her. Normally, Tofu has a lot of anxiety meeting new people but she took right to Angela. Communication was clear and Angela arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Would 100% recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
