About: I had my first dog when I was 8 and ever since then I have always loved dogs and have never been without a dog until this year. All dogs make me extremely happy and I love to play with them. I’m very energetic and love to go for runs or do different activities with dogs. I also don’t have a problem with any other animals but I am just used to dealing with dogs. I have had a miniature schnauzer, pit bull, and a lab. My hours are pretty flexible but I do prefer the morning because I am a early bird. About: Hello, I'm Kristen and I would love to spoil your dog(s) while you are away! I started Rover dog-sitting after losing my dog of 12 years and it was the best decision. I've watched dogs of all sizes and personalities and enjoy learning what makes them unique. I volunteer at a local animal shelter where I get to meet many dogs and learn more about dog behavior. I will treat your dogs like my own and make sure they get plenty of exercise to work off any anxiety from missing you. I'm happy to take care of puppies (if they are potty-trained) and senior dogs (if they are ok with stairs) and provide the extra attention they need. I live in a three-story townhome with a small carpeted basement off the garage, hardwood floor on main level, and carpet in the upstairs bedrooms. I have a small non-fenced yard in the back with a deck (4 stairs to ground). I've attached pictures of all the stairs for anyone with senior dogs. Dogs are free to couch-surf and allowed on the bed here. But I can reinforce whatever the rules are in their home.

“Grace was absolutely amazing with my cat Mia! I get anxious anytime I have to leave my cat - as she is easy to frighten and is very cautious, and really sticks to her daily schedule. Thankfully, Grace helped me feel calm while I was away and I knew Mia was in great hands. She was on time everyday, and also fed, brushed, pet, and cleaned after her. About: Cats: Over the past 3 years have cats at my sister's cat multiple times including when he first arrived and had just been neutered. I also help taking care of the family cat at home. Dogs: I have dogsat and dog walked a neighbor's 2 dogs for a week. I also helped to watch a family friends dog for a week as well. P.S. I have also grown up around dogs and cats my whole life and helped to take care of a few of them although a do not remember many of them. I can do Drop in visits at any time of day ( morning, midday, afternoon, and evening). However, if I have multiple clients the schedule may very somewhat. About: I am in experienced Trainer and groomer. All of our pets are rescue pets, except for my sons service dog, I often welcome Guest pets into my home to help local service members who are deploying. I look forward to welcoming your Pet into our home. We’re working family. A military family at that. My Husband is deployed. However, our house has a doggie door and I work close to home so that I can come home frequently to check on our guests and ensure that they are thriving We treat the pets in our home, like their Our pets. If one hand goes out to our dog, the other hand goes out to the guest dog to Pet them. When we go outside to play, everybody goes outside to play. We enjoy taking our guest pets outside for a romp in the yard. Sometimes we walk dogs together as a family. Sometimes I take them on my own. It’s a family affair.

In 2018, fresh out of high school and not looking to work in fast food, I decided to take my love for dogs and turn it into a job. With a regular client base of 10, and 30 something here-and-there's, I was the top-dog in my small town. I could go into any pet related establishment and they'd know my name and what I offered. All of my business was from word of mouth. When I discovered Rover, I joined a bigger community of animal lovers. In 2022, I moved away from Rover to work in the doggy daycare business. After a PCS across the country here to Northern Virginia, I am now the manager at a different doggy daycare. The biggest thing I have noticed working in commercial pet care, is that not every dog needs a $50 trip to daycare. A lot of dogs I see are stressed out in the new environment, or taking the most expensive 6 hour nap. My goal is to be the person that comes along and gives you a personalized experience cultivated to your pets specific needs, and give your wallet a break as well. To offer a service that leaves you with a smile and your pup a wagging tail. I have experience with any breed you can think of, alongside basic medical care and dog training. I'm a jack-russell of all trades. I currently work 6:30-3pm most days, and my calendar will be accurately and timely updated. As mentioned, I do work full time. I also have three german shepherds at home that require a good amount of my attention. I do not offer boarding or pet sitting because of this. I am well versed in dog body language and animal restraint, but I can't do that if your dog tries to go after me.
