About: I have owned pets with my family since I was a baby, and I have been volunteering with animal rescues since the age of 14! (to care for and clean up after cats/dogs.) I also own 14 fish tanks, and 2 beautiful kitties. All very well loved animals. I am currently working part time job during school. I am a college student but only have classes about 3 days a week. I am able to work best after school/ work hours, or on off days! Contact me and we can work something out:) I am an experienced pet owner, and I am happy to provide all the basics like, cleaning cages/litter boxes, food/water bowls, refreshing water and feeding, taking on walks, and playing with the your pet, and of COURSE providing lots of love and attention😸!
“Stephanie was great, and even BooBoo thinks so. BooBoo never comes out of hiding for anyone but she did for Stephanie and even allowed her to pet her. Stephanie was very responsive and sent lots of pictures. I appreciate her help and will definitely ask her again for help with Boo and my dog, Bailey. Thanks Stephanie:)”

“Rachel accepted our last minute request for pet sitting even though I’m a brand new customer, and was excellent at communicating with us to make sure she had all the info she needed to drop in on our fur baby. She fed and took our pup for a walk, and gave her some much needed attention while we were gone overnight. We loved Rachel’s detailed report, and will definitely ask her to pet sit for us again!”

About: I have worked with dogs for over 10 years. I have trained dogs and worked for two daycares. I know about medications and common injuries prone to popular breeds. I enjoy walking with and interacting with dogs of all sizes. I have plenty of free time to watch and walk dogs whenever needed. I am available any time during the week/weekend that would be needed. Available for emergency walks or sittings if needed. I know how hard it is to leave your pets behind, so I prioritize clear communication and plenty of photo updates. My goal is to make sure your pet is happy, exercised, and showered with affection while you’re away. I provide a structured and safe environment for your animals. I understand that every pet has a unique temperament and specific needs, and I pride myself on being a calm, observant caregiver. I am comfortable administering medication, handling leash-reactive dogs, and maintaining strict feeding schedules. When your pet is with me, their safety and well-being are my absolute top priorities.

I’ve looked after dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments—whether it’s energetic puppies, senior pets needing extra attention, or animals with special needs. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I always prioritize communication with pet parents for peace of mind. I am currently working part time in the evenings. I will be available for drop offs before 2pm. My time away from home is short to ensure your fur baby won’t be lonely. I have a fenced in yard and two happy fur babies to keep yours company. They can be easily crated if your baby needs extra care.

I have had a miniature schnauzer, pit bull, and a lab. My hours are pretty flexible but I do prefer the morning because I am a early bird. The only times I won’t be available are after 8 Expect for Wednesdays unless I’m house sitting depending on how long that will be. If you would like any more information please message me

“Kimberly is THEE BEST! She was very good with my pet. She communicates regularly and goes above and beyond to ensure our pet is comfy. She even offered to take out the trash while we were away. A true professional. I will hire again.”

“Dana was fantastic! Reliable, friendly, professional and diligent. This was our first experience with drop-in visits for our cats. We were a little nervous as they haven't been left alone for more than a day until now. Dana was wonderful in providing updates and keeping us in the loop with how they were doing. Everything was left clean and tidy when we returned and the cats were both happy. Highly recommend Dana!”

“Carly has been so wonderful and reliable for our dog, Phoebe! She has provided weekly drop ins for a couple of months and one long overnight stay so far, which she extended a night on short notice for us. She provides us with consistent updates and communication and Phoebe is always a happy girl after each of her visits. We highly recommend Carly, she’s been one of our best Petsitters to date.”

“Claudia did a fantastic job for taking care of my cat Bobbie during my five weeks away from home. She showed up on time and fed and cared for the cat as scheduled. She took the cuttest pictures and filed a report every day. I have never been away from my cat for so long and was apprehensive about the change of routines but Bobbie was well-fed and cared for as if nothing has happened when I returned. Claudia is a sweetest person and very responsive and accommodating. I am sure her training as vet assistant is instrumental in helping Bobbie making the adjustment. I cannot thank her enough and will definitely ask for her next time I am away.”

About: Hello, I'm Kristen and I would love to spoil your dog(s) while you are away! I started Rover dog-sitting after losing my dog of 12 years and it was the best decision. I've watched dogs of all sizes and personalities and enjoy learning what makes them unique. I volunteer at a local animal shelter where I get to meet many dogs and learn more about dog behavior. I will treat your dogs like my own and make sure they get plenty of exercise to work off any anxiety from missing you. I'm happy to take care of puppies (if they are potty-trained) and senior dogs (if they are ok with stairs) and provide the extra attention they need. I live in a three-story townhome with a small carpeted basement off the garage, hardwood floor on main level, and carpet in the upstairs bedrooms. I have a small non-fenced yard in the back with a deck (4 stairs to ground). I've attached pictures of all the stairs for anyone with senior dogs. Dogs are free to couch-surf and allowed on the bed here. But I can reinforce whatever the rules are in their home.
“Grace was absolutely amazing with my cat Mia! I get anxious anytime I have to leave my cat - as she is easy to frighten and is very cautious, and really sticks to her daily schedule. Thankfully, Grace helped me feel calm while I was away and I knew Mia was in great hands. She was on time everyday, and also fed, brushed, pet, and cleaned after her. She was wonderful and communicated with me everyday, taking great pictures in the meantime. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to book her, and I’d absolutely choose her again. Thank you so much Grace!”

About: Caring for dogs has been a part of my life for over 13 years. I have experience caring for my own dogs as well as dogs belonging to friends, family, and others who have trusted me with their pets. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, energy level, and needs, and I approach each one with patience, consistency, and kindness. My experience includes daily walks, exercise, mental stimulation, reinforcing positive behaviors, and providing calm, reliable care, especially for dogs who need extra reassurance or structure. I have firsthand experience working with shelter dogs and understand how important trust and routine are in helping dogs feel safe and confident. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to make each walk or visit a positive, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Pet sitting and dog walking fit perfectly into my current schedule. We recently moved to the area, and at this time I am not pursuing full-time employment so I can settle in, explore the community, and maintain a flexible daily routine. All of my children are in school, and my own dogs are on a consistent schedule with early morning walks and daily exercise starting around 5:00 AM. This routine allows me to be fully present for my pets first thing in the morning while freeing up a large portion of my day for additional walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. Because of this structure, I am reliable, flexible, and able to accommodate daytime and early afternoon care with consistency and attention. Pet care is something I truly enjoy, and my schedule allows me to provide unhurried, attentive care to every animal I work with. I am a very meticulous person and strongly believe that a clean environment is a safe environment. Whether I am caring for pets in my own home or in a client’s home, I prioritize cleanliness, organization, and consistency to ensure pets feel secure and well cared for. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, exercise, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I keep living spaces tidy, food and water areas clean, and ensure toys, leashes, and resting areas are safe and well-maintained. I also pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and comfort level, adjusting care as needed to reduce stress and promote well-being. My goal is to provide calm, dependable care in a clean, structured environment so pets feel safe, relaxed, and at home, no matter where they are.

About: I live on post at Fort Belvoir- yes base access. Hello friends! My name is Breanna and I have been working with dogs for 6 years. In 2018, fresh out of high school and not looking to work in fast food, I decided to take my love for dogs and turn it into a job. With a regular client base of 10, and 30 something here-and-there's, I was the top-dog in my small town. I could go into any pet related establishment and they'd know my name and what I offered. All of my business was from word of mouth. When I discovered Rover, I joined a bigger community of animal lovers. In 2022, I moved away from Rover to work in the doggy daycare business. After a PCS across the country here to Northern Virginia, I am now the manager at a different doggy daycare. The biggest thing I have noticed working in commercial pet care, is that not every dog needs a $50 trip to daycare. A lot of dogs I see are stressed out in the new environment, or taking the most expensive 6 hour nap. My goal is to be the person that comes along and gives you a personalized experience cultivated to your pets specific needs, and give your wallet a break as well. To offer a service that leaves you with a smile and your pup a wagging tail. I have experience with any breed you can think of, alongside basic medical care and dog training. I'm a jack-russell of all trades. I currently work 6:30-3pm most days, and my calendar will be accurately and timely updated. As mentioned, I do work full time. I also have three german shepherds at home that require a good amount of my attention. I do not offer boarding or pet sitting because of this. I request that you send me a text or leave a sheet of all your dogs do's & don't's. I have handled all types of behavioral issues, but I cannot accept any dog with aggression to people. I am well versed in dog body language and animal restraint, but I can't do that if your dog tries to go after me.
Fort Belvoir dog parents share their Rover experiences
Angela was amazing with Tofu. She spent plenty of time playing with Tofu and petting her. Normally, Tofu has a lot of anxiety meeting new people but she took right to Angela. Communication was clear and Angela arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Would 100% recommend her.

This is my third time utilizing Doreen’s services. She is the best. She took care of my cat and dog babies after having to schedule a last minute work trip. She is very responsive and highly attentive. She loves each furbaby like her own. She is the only person I trust with caring for my babies. She provides great updates every day. If you are thinking about using Doreen’s services.. just do it. You will not regret it.

Lisa has been nothing but amazing! She has made being a first time puppy owner a thousand times easier. She provides a detailed update each day/visit that allows you to understand your dog’s needs more and to know how your dog is through out the day. Lisa is the best and recommend her to everyone!
