***I am independently insured through PetCare for greater peace of mind while you’re away*** ***Certified in cat and dog first aid*** I've recently gone through a career switch from caring for humans (I was a registered nurse) to caring for animals last year. However, I have loved and cared for several personal and friend’s pets, to include cats, dogs, guinea pigs, birds, and reptiles, throughout my entire life. I hold a strong passion for advocating and caring for all beings with empathy, patience, and understanding. Since my career switch, I have experienced pets who need extra attention due to daily medications, reactivity, older age, anxiety, and helping to instill training (I am not a certified trainer) the clients are already teaching their pet(s) during my walks and/or pet sits.

Safety, trust & environment
While I do not provide care in my home, I do travel to your pets while you’re away. My approach to caring for animals is with a lot of patience and respect. I’m happy to take it slow for each animal that may be a bit timid at first. I have a lot of experience personally and professionally working with animals who are timid, reactive, etc. For new clients, I like to have a meet/greet to go over care instructions before the pet sitting/walking dates. This gives us the opportunity to ask questions and discuss further what you can expect while you’re away. My goal is to provide care the way your pet is used to. I send daily updates/pictures/video to give you the reassurance that your pet is being loved on just the way you would if you were there.

Leah was so great with our boys. She sent tons of photo updates of all of the fun they were having together and our house was spotless when we returned. She is such a caring and loving sitter to our boys!
Leah was so incredibly kind to Ari and Sundance and we were so grateful for her help while we had an out of town trip. She was loving to them, very communicative, and even went out of the way to make sure that one of our pups didn’t jump around too much after eating his meal after I mentioned how we try to keep him settled. Her attentiveness to detail was so much appreciated!
Leah has been an absolutely amazing dog walker for our pup!! I was so impressed with her professionalism from the start and she has been so consistent and thorough in providing the best care for our dog. She is a great communicator and you can tell she really cares about taking care of animals. She has put my mind at ease on a daily basis knowing my pup is receiving the best treatment and attention. My dog loves everyone. But he fully adores Leah. She is so wonderful with him and I feel like my baby is safe and loved while she has him. Truly a beautiful person and it reflects in how much animals are drawn to her.
Thanks to Leah I was able to have an absolutely wonderful and guilt free vacation. Receiving those daily updates, photos and videos makes all the difference when you are away from home and could tell Redd and Tea were safe, loved and having a good time with all the walks, snuggles and attention. Priceless!
Leah is the best! I love how detailed she is in her notes and she is a great communicator.

Schedule
Dog walking and pet sitting is my full time job now. Whether you need a midday walk or need someone to care for your pets while you escape on vacation, I’m available for either service throughout the week, weekend, and some holidays.

- Important things to know are any behaviors that I need to be aware of (if the dog is timid/anxious, reactive, etc.), any medications needed, or alternative plans if a dog won’t walk in the rain. Also please let me know if your dog has any allergies/dietary restrictions.
