About: I have cared for pets with my family since I was a baby, and I have been volunteering with animal rescues since the age of 14! (to care for and clean up after cats/dogs.) I also own 14 fish tanks, and 2 beautiful kitties. All very well loved animals. I am a college student majoring in environmental science and marine and estuarine sciences. I am working through rover to help fund my college. I only have classes about 3 days a week, and mainly attend classes later in the afternoon, so I can easily tend to pets before class early in the morning, around lunch time, and after class around dinner time. Our rescue lab mix, Vito, can be wary with new people and nervous when we leave for long trips, but he took to Tara immediately and they became best buds. Not only did she spend lots of time keeping him active playing fetch in the backyard and taking him on long walks, she also set up different puzzles for him to work on pretty much daily. She had outstanding communication and sent frequent updates with lots of fun videos/pictures. It was clear Vito was having the time of his life with her. I don’t think he missed us at all! She did not pace around looking for us, as Hannah was there with her! :) Our dog is not easy since she can't hear or see. Hannah took her on walks. When we came back, she was comfortable and not upset about us being gone. Our house was cleaned the way we left it when we returned. Hannah updated us with photos, which are always fun to see.
