“Isa was absolutely wonderful with our pup, Finley. She was attentive and clearly took the time to understand his routine and personality during her stay with him at our home. Finley can be a bit particular at times, but Isa handled everything so naturally and made sure he was comfortable, well cared for, and happy throughout the day. We really appreciated how thoughtful and communicative she was, and it meant a lot to know he was getting so much attention and care.”

“McKenna was so great! She really paid attention to every little detail about our 2 pups and took amazing care of them while we were away. She sent lots of pics and updates and was also super flexible and understanding when our flight got delayed! We will absolutely book her again!”

“She's amazing. Very punctual and professional. Got along great with my dog, and took excellent care of my pet and my living space (including some cleaning!) 10/10 couldn't recommend more strongly.”

“Tara showed great care to our three dogs over a long weekend stay! She sent pictures and videos frequently and we never wondered how our dogs were doing. Great communication and warmth! The dogs loved her!”

“Hieu and Anna are the real deal. They took great care of our pets and our home. We really hope we can have them stay and take care of our furry family again and again. They where great with communications, sent us updates that reassured us everything was going well, and left the house is as good if not better shape than we left it.”

“Michelle was very gracious and kind to come last minute when my mom had an unexpected hospital stay. She was flexible and understanding when my mom had a crisis and my husband was delayed getting back home. Her kindness and affection with our boy Sherlock was wonderful!”

About: I’ve had pets, both dogs and cats, my entire life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Along with caring for my own pets, I’ve also looked after neighbors’ pets over the years, giving me experience with a wide range of personalities, sizes, and needs. I’m comfortable with everything from small cats and dogs to larger breeds like Dobermans and Pit Bulls, and I genuinely love spending time with all animals. Being around animals has always brought me a sense of comfort and joy, and that shows in the care I provide. Even while at college, my roommates and I have continued to foster a pet-friendly environment, so I’m very used to being around and helping care for animals daily. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I am currently home from college for the summer, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care. I am available after 5 PM Monday through Thursday, and I have open availability for most of the day Friday through Sunday. I enjoy spending time with animals as part of my daily routine and can provide reliable, attentive care throughout the week. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of attention and companionship. I also make sure the home stays clean and tidy while caring for the pet. I understand that every animal has a different personality and comfort level, so I always try to be patient, attentive, and responsive to their needs. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or more calm and reserved, I want them to feel relaxed and well cared for while their owner is away.
About: Hey, friends! Welcome to Waggin' & Walkin'. I've had many types of animal family members in my life. From dogs and cats to a ferret and a guinea pig! I've also volunteered at the Rota Animal Welfare League while stationed in Spain. My duties included feeding, cleaning the grounds, and spending time with my furry pals. There's no doubt that your dog will be in great hands. Whether it's feeding them, walking them or simply relaxing with them to ensure they're comfortable, I'll be there when you can't to ensure they're good to go 💯👍. I have a really great schedule which will allow me ample time to take care of your pets needs. My typical work schedule is from 6am-2pm so any time after that I can assist. From walking to pet sitting, I'll ensure they are loved and cared for so you can relax and focus on what you need to do. As of now I plan to perform the following services: Dog walks, Pop-ins and pet sitting at the client's home. I might add Boarding in the future. When you're not home I will do all tasks that you require to ensure your loved pet is nourished, interacted with and feels safe & happy.
“Dana is an amazing sitter. She provided updates throughout the day which was nice to see how our jeter was doing. She made sure he was exercised even in rainy weather. Definitely would recommend and will hire again in the future.”

“Jessica was so awesome! My dogs loves her she was very attentive. She walked them and played with them a lot and I really appreciate the photos and updates i get! Will definately book again and 100% recommend”

“Jennette took the time to come meet our “old ladies”. They took to her, in time and we were pleased she would be watching our girls for a few days. She kept us up to date and we would gladly have her watch our old ladies again. Very serene around our doggies.”
“Elizabeth was absolutely fantastic. She communicated regularly and sent pictures often. She also went above and beyond cleaning up which was a nice surprise after a week of business travel. I would highly recommend her and will be reaching out again.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Angela! While caring for Chloe, she quickly noticed signs that something wasn’t right and contacted me immediately. Because of her attentiveness and fast communication, we were able to get Chloe to the vet right away, where she was diagnosed with a pancreatitis flare up and received the treatment she needed. Her attention to detail, genuine concern, and proactive approach truly went above and beyond. It’s clear she cares deeply about the pets she watches and pays close attention to their well-being. I’m incredibly grateful for her quick action, which made a huge difference for my Chloe’s health. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive sitter!”

“Kyle was awesome – he took great care of our dog Maya and gave plenty of updates. He also dealt with some unexpected issues with our home, and even helped coordinate building maintenance to start on repairs. We'll absolutely use Kyle as a sitter again.”

“Highly recommend Charles for pet sitting. Our dog warmed up to him immediately and he did the same to her. He is responsible, kind, caring and understanding. He helped us out by staying an extra day when our flight was canceled and that gave us the peace of mind we needed to get back home sooner. We are happy we were able to find him and look forward to working with him again!”

“I am so thankful to have Eyowyn care for my dogs. It was the first time leaving my Velcro pets. She worked patiently with us when we had last minute changes. She was able to calm them and they enjoyed her visits. Her confidence in being able to handle the situation allowed me to relax and enjoy my weekend away. I am so happy she will be in the area for another year!”

Davis stayed at our house for a week while we traveled. He took great care of our 80lb American Bulldog, and was able to get our mega-shy pug-mix to warm up to him which isn’t easy! He also cared for our koi pond, and flock of chickens including a broody hen. We got cute pictures and clear communication on how everything was going which allowed us to relax! Came home to a clean house and happy animals. We’ll definitely book Davis again and recommend him to friends. 😎

This was the second time Tara cared for Nala, and once again she was absolutely amazing. Leaving your dog behind is never easy, especially when you know how much they miss you, but Tara always goes above and beyond to make sure Nala feels loved, comfortable, and cared for. Nala definitely misses me when I’m away, but Tara does such a wonderful job of being there for her and filling that void with affection, attention, and patience. She kept me updated throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. I am incredibly grateful to have found someone I trust so completely with my girl. Tara is reliable, caring, and truly treats Nala like her own. I would recommend her without hesitation and will absolutely continue booking with her in the future 🐾🐶🩷🫶🏻

David dog sat our two dogs who can be a handful. It was the first time we'd left them for over a week. David kept us up to date with pictures and notes of what was going on at home so we could enjoy our trip. When we returned the dogs were happy to see us; they showed no signs of being stressed/anxious/needy from their time with David. We won't hesitate to call on David again when we need someone to care for our dogs.
Kerry was absolutely wonderful with my Henry! He injured his leg right before I was to take a trip and Kerry came to the rescue, watched my boy, and saved my trip! The questions she asked about Henry instilled confidence in me as Kerry was the first overnight petsitter I’ve had in my house. Her communication is top notch and she sent updates and pictures to let me know how things were going. I will 150% work with Kerry again! Thank you Kerry!!!

Julia was did an amazing job caring for our pup and our home while we were gone for a week. She was attentive to all our instructions, provided regular updates, and went above and beyond to give our pup an stress-free week at home, and give us peace of mind while we were gone. Will definitely be using again!

Stephanie was wonderful with our puppy, Galleta. She stayed our pup for various days over the last two weeks and was always loving, playful, and attentive. Galleta clearly enjoyed spending time with her. Stephanie was punctual, communicative, and sent great updates throughout the day, which gave us peace of mind. She was reliable and easy to coordinate with, and we would happily have her watch Galleta again. We definitely recommend her! 🐶

Kaiya and Charles did a wonderful job taking care of our two dogs. They sent detailed updates and photos of our dogs while we were out of town. They were very respectful with our home and took excellent care of our house while we were out of town. 100 percent will rebook if we need a dog sitter again!
Our big Bear loves Anna! She house/pet sat for us for a week during the Christmas holidays while we were traveling. We came home to a happy, healthy 100 lb dog. Bear had two walks a day and some grooming, in addition to twice-daily feedings. Anna alsogave Bear his m onthly medications. Anna communicated every day we were away, sending pictures of our happy dog. The house was as clean as we left it. I would highly recommend Anna for your pet sitting needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in West Springfield on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 9,843 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Springfield. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Springfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Springfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Springfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
