Availability
As mentioned before, I am currently studying and a side income that involves animal care is ideal for myself. Which makes my current schedule flexible as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I would treat your pets and home as if they were my own. Even though that sounds cliche I genuinely stand by it. I am big on adapting to the pets as I am a guest in their home. For short snouted dogs I prefer harness walks and during times when the weather is cooler for all dogs in general. I understand not all pets appreciate their personal space invaded, so for both our safety I like to take it slow and build their trust before proceeding with any interactive activities.
Information Davis N. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any special needs your pet may need. Also if there are any behaviors I should be looking out for, or not allowing. Written instructions are always welcomed, but if not I will be reachable through text/call.
A typical day
I enjoy learning each pets mannerisms and getting them comfortable with me and their new surrounding first. I am a complete stranger after all and gaining their trust is one of my top priorities. Depending on the pet we’ll be together enjoying each other’s company the whole time. Some like to play, some like to relax and cuddle, some like their own space. Their presence and companionship is always appreciated, but I understand that boundaries, even with animals, are important. I enjoy simple hikes, brisk walks, or even just laying outside for a nap when the weather permits.

Pet care experience
I am currently studying for my boards exam to practice small animal medicine. In the mean time, I’d love to spend time and get to know all your furry companion’s unique personalities. I have given medications, been apart of hospice care, and in general taken care of several cats and dogs over the years. I believe in following their strict husbandry and diets with occasional rewards of treats and belly rubs if allowed. I like to stay organized and on top of things as much as I can. I understand not all cats and dogs are the same, so if there are any other specific concerns or instructions please don't hesitate to let me know. Reviews

Davis was great: took great care of our dogs and our home, which includes chicken coop, koi pond and garden!. Very responsive, keeps in touch, trustworthy and loya. Will hire him again when when needed

Davis stayed at our house for a week while we traveled. He took great care of our 80lb American Bulldog, and was able to get our mega-shy pug-mix to warm up to him which isn’t easy! He also cared for our koi pond, and flock of chickens including a broody hen. We got cute pictures and clear communication on how everything was going which allowed us to relax! Came home to a clean house and happy animals. We’ll definitely book Davis again and recommend him to friends. 😎

Thanks for helping us out with walking Riley and Archie this week! Really appreciated the time you spent with Riley too to get her comfortable with you. Will be sure to reach out in the future!

Davis is an outstanding dog sitter! He recently watched our two golden retrievers and went above and beyond. Because Davis is studying to be a vet, his medical knowledge was incredibly helpful. He noticed a possible ear infection starting in our dog Rowan's ear and safely treated it using the medication we already had on hand. Beyond his excellent medical eye, he gave our dogs so much quality attention and walked them twice every day. He was also a great communicator, keeping us updated the entire time. We highly recommend Davis and will absolutely hire him again!
