Michelle was really great. She was prompt and clear when communicating with me. She sent pictures and updates through out each day. Most importantly she was understanding and patient with ME as I explain in detail a lot of what my dogs need. I have a 13 yo and a 13 month old, both labs and each comes with some very specific handling needs especially around feeding and walking and Michelle was open to letting me communicate these needs. Her care and attention to the dogs' needs helped me relax on our vacation. I will definitely be asking her again to stay with the dogs. Thanks Michelle

Jeanette did an AMAZING job taking care of our dog. We were gone for 10 days and I was worried we wouldn’t find anyone as responsible as she was. She was very loving and patient with our elderly dog. She has never been left with anyone but family before so I was worried about our dogs stress level. (Mine too). Jeanette sent pictures every day with a review of what they did that day. I would give Jeanette my highest review and would love to have her back when we go out of town again. She was an absolute dream. I can’t thank her enough for everything that she did for Channing and for me. She allowed me to enjoy my trip and not stress about my dog. She made all the difference in the world. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

Always amazing with my dogs! One of my pups was suffering from an upset stomach the night before my trip and Oriana went out of her way to feed her a special diet of pumpkin all week. I really appreciate when a sitter goes out of their way to take care of my senior pets 🙏❤️

About: As a current parent to 2 cats and prior dog/fish mom, I have a lifetime of experience caring for critters of all shapes and sizes! My main job is being a Psychology PhD student and teacher at GMU (you can google my name!). I’ve worked with animal behaviorists and can handle a rowdy big floof, scaly friend, or tiny pooch! Senior care is a passion of mine, both in the animal and human domains. I am strongly against aggressive handling techniques and believe in a care first approach, focusing on your pets unique needs and personality. Im a PhD student at Mason during the day, so Im mostly available in the afternoons and evenings (past 3 pm). Im available for overnight stays, but will need to return during the day to get to school. I follow a gentle, care-first approach, following your pets needs based on their personality and your experience. I ensure that all needs are cared for holistically, and as a current psychology student I have plenty of experience ensuring your pet feels comfortable, safe, and happy. I am always available to reach by phone during care, and will provide twice-daily (minimum! you will likely be spammed with pics haha) updates on wellness.

McKenna did an excellent job with our high-energy Aussie, who can be a bit anxious sometimes. She was super communicative, punctual, and shared lots of photos and updates. This was the first time we left him overnight with someone other than family, and it was great to know he was in good hands with McKenna. She also left our house as clean, if not cleaner, than it was before. Excited to work with her again soon!

Nicole was so amazing I can't fully articulate how much I appreciate her. In a home with 3 dogs (with their own small problems) and 3 cats and a lot of chaos, she not only held down the fort but kept everyone safe, happy, and loved. The house is still clean and smells good (which is amazing given the household), and she gave such great updates while we were gone. Even our former feral cat trusted her enough to come out of hiding! I felt very safe having Nicole watch my crew, and was able to enjoy my time away without worry.

We had a wonderful first experience with Anna and Hieu. They stayed in my home for a week to watch my Chihuahua mix baby and Chihuahua grandbaby. I knew my grand-dog would be okay, but my dog is such a mama’s boy that I was nervous about leaving him. As expected, he was very sad the first day or two but Anna and Hieu made sure he had plenty of love and attention to help him feel better. They were wonderful about keeping me updated with photos and a daily activity summary which I greatly appreciated. I could tell from the photos and information that my baby was adjusting and felt very comfortable with these two sitters. As a nervous first time Rover user, I left a ridiculous number of instructions on both the dogs and the house, and the ladies happily received them and didn’t make me feel like a crazy dog mom haha. I felt totally at ease about having them in my home; they left the home clean and were very respectful of the property. I am so grateful to these sitters for the excellent care they gave my dogs, and I will happily book them again when needed. They are both so sweet, very responsible, and fabulous with the pups!

Kelley was absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend her enough! She stayed at our home for 4 nights and truly went above and beyond in every way. One of the things I appreciated most was that she stayed with Tyson almost the entire time instead of coming and going throughout the day. Knowing he had someone there with him gave me so much peace of mind. She was also very communicative throughout her stay, sending regular updates that made it easy to relax while we were away. She was incredibly respectful of our home and left everything spotless when we returned. Most importantly, she took incredible care of Tyson. He's an older dog with some health issues, and he had some messy accidents during her stay, including in the middle of the night. She handled every situation with so much patience, kindness, and love. It was obvious she genuinely cared about him, and that meant the world to us. I would trust Kelley with Tyson and our home again in a heartbeat. She exceeded every expectation, and I would 100000% book her again. If you're considering Kelley, don't hesitate! Your pets and your home will be in the absolute best hands!

Joshua is a very calm and understanding person, which was perfect for our reactive dog. He rolled with the punches and followed directions when she was threatening at first, and they became good friends. He also kept our place in good condition and did his own linens laundry as requested before departure. He also was good at reporting her quirks while we were away and answering my questions.

Dounia was great with my dog while I was gone for a week. My dog was initially wary and Dounia gave her time to get used to her. Within a few days they were buddies and snuggling. Dounia sent me many updates on her arrivals and walks and when she was leaving the house. She washed all the linens before leaving. I would use her again

Denise is the best! She stayed in our home and cared for our two dogs for two and a half weeks while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She sent us frequent pictures and updates, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about bonding with our dogs and keeping them happy, comfortable, and safe. One of our dogs has severe anxiety, especially during storms and loud noises, and Denise was incredibly patient, attentive, and understanding with her. Knowing she was in such caring and capable hands gave us so much peace of mind. She also took wonderful care of our home, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Being able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about our dogs or our house was priceless—and probably the hardest thing for any pet owner to achieve when traveling! We couldn’t recommend Denise enough and would absolutely trust her to care for our dogs and home again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Bristow

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Bristow on Rover is $50.75 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 9,904 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bristow. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bristow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bristow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bristow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bristow. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
