Open arms with an open heart
Hi! Thank you for checking out my profile. I consider it an honor to care for your baby. The only time I have ever been without a fur baby was when I lived in the dorms in college, and that's only because they didn't allow it. I am a senior & special needs feline foster parent. I have years of experience with all types and ages of pets. I understand the challenges of trusting a stranger with your baby. I will send you daily pictures and updates. Our home is open to cats and other furry/feathered/scaly babies. At this time, I am unable to host dogs over night, but I am able to walk, drop in, and care for dogs & other babies at your home. Our family's sweet girl Messina of 18 years past away so we no longer have a dog to love on. It will be a treat to care for yours. Prior meet ups are a must. For house sitting and drop ins, I do ask for in person meet & greets. For boarding we can chat on the phone or virtually. Doreen and her family are absolutely wonderful! They were able to take my cat on extremely short notice because of a family emergency, and I can’t express how grateful I am. It was already such a stressful and emotional situation, and knowing she was somewhere safe, comfortable, and well cared for took such a huge weight off my shoulders. Doreen was so kind, understanding, and accommodating through all of it. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for her and would recommend her without hesitation!
This was my second time booking with her and Doreen is amazing! I love the daily updates that she provides and super flexible when it came to our booking. She would definitely be our first choice for future cat sitting.

Doreen is the best! We had to find a sitter last minute before a weeklong vacation and were in a bit of panic mode. Doreen from the start made herself available to talk over the phone and calm any nerves we had about leaving our cat Milo for a week. Milo recently got into a fight with another indoor/outdoor cat so he was a little skittish at the time and was hesitant when we first dropped him off at Doreen’s. However, Doreen made him feel right at home - playing with him every day, giving him treats, and just overall giving him the love we needed while we were gone. She even had all of his stuff packed and ready to go when we picked Milo up! We highly recommend Doreen for your cat sitter needs and plan to request her services again in the future.

I'm a homeschool mom, so I am usually home most of the day. I dote on pets! They are by my side always being loved on.

I usually like to be with the pet at all times for quality care and comfort. For cats: We have 4 litter boxes, at least one on each floor and changed it daily, twice for seniors and special needs guests. With visiting cats we keep them on one floor until acclimated to our home. Then if all feel safe they are welcome to roam the entire house if the parents allow it.

We have plenty of cat toys and play with the cats at least two times a day. I brush their hair as needed, or at least 2xs a week. To maintain furbabies health, I scoop the litter boxes at least once a day.

Are they aggressive towards people and or other cats? What's their favorite activity? Are they on flea & tick medicine? Have they had any destructive behavior? Aggressive at meal time?
