About: “Wow, he/she loves you!” Is a phrase I hear from family/friends all the time when they see their cat or dog interact with me. I give great pet massages, and I quickly earn the trust of animals with my gentle, sweet, silly demeanor. I have grown up in a house with multiple cats and dogs since I was born, where I have partaken in their care since a young age. I am a lifelong lover of all animals, and have helped care for many dogs + cats of my friends and family over the years. On top of that, I am currently proud cat dad of 5 years to a very special kitty named Midna. Due to her history of (non-contagious) chronic medical conditions, being her dad has deepened my sense of responsibility as a pet caretaker and given me experience in navigating administering various medications for pets. Trust me with your beloved pet - they will be under loving and detail-oriented care, and they will be excited every time I walk through the door to spend quality time with them. !Rotonda residents!- I live here too, and am familiar with the convenience key process. I work from home 4 days of the week on a fairly flexible schedule, so I have lots of time and attention to dedicate to your pet. For an extended quality time visit with your pet, I’m happy to monitor work from your home while I give your dog/cat lots of attention. I am very detail oriented, and I understand that every family/household has different rules and preferences for their pet’s care. I am committed to understanding the details of you/your pet’s individual preferences and household boundaries so that I can provide the best possible care.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dog for over a decade. I’ve also watched my friends and families dogs when they are on vacation. So, I’m very comfortable with walking, feeding, playing, and bathing different types of dogs. I’m currently studying for the bar exam, so I’m looking for study break opportunities! Pretty much free at any time during the week and on weekends unless it’s blocked off on my schedule. I am totally flexible with any safety precautions you would like to take. I want to make sure that you feel safe leaving your dog in my care.
“Eliza is kind, trustworthy and truly cares about the pets she cares for. She went the extra mile with our elderly lab and we were able to be more at ease on our vacation knowing Eliza was looking in on him.”

“Elizabeth is extremely communicative and professional. She gives lots of updates and always make sure to let me know of their day. I feel very comfortable leaving and knowing my dog is well cared for.”

“Elise is wonderful! She responded quickly and was accommodating to a last minute request. My dog Monty responded very well to her and she communicated thoroughly for each of the drop in visits. I will be using her again in the future!”

“As always, Ihana took perfect care of our two dogs, Jack and Lexi, during a short notice trip. The dogs love her! Thanks, Ihana, for the peace of mind of knowing they were in good hands!”

About: I had my two spunky Rhodesian ridgebacks for nine years and loved every minute of hiking, cross country adventures, and snuggles. Love caring for dogs and keeping them healthy through exercise! I’d love to walk/feed your pets in the evenings and weekends. I can adjust my schedule as needed to walk during the day as well. I’m extremely reliable, dependable and nurturing towards my pet friends. I have experience with two strong dogs and will maintain a calm presence when in your home and out and about with your dogs.
About: Ever since I was little, I have been known to care extra for the animals and creatures around me. I can remember helping out with family friends' dog, cat, or horse feedings fairly early on in my life. I have petsitting experience as well as internship experience at Ark Veterinarian Hospital, where I completed a 6-week full-time internship shadowing Dr. Kate Connell 2 years ago. I was able to work with some amazing technicians and doctors. I was even able to observe a few orthopedic surgeries. Now I can say that I have worked with all sorts of dogs and cats in varying medical and behavioral states. I feel incredibly grateful for the experience. I have pets of my own; my family dog Cabot (a Welsh Springer Spaniel) lives with my dad in Middlebury, and my cat Somtso (a beautiful longhair rescue) lives with me between Pennsylvania and Virginia. My family and I have cared for Cabot for over 7 years now, and sweet Somtso for over 5. I am a full-time college student going into my senior academic year at Dickinson College and am curious about fun ways I could save some money this summer. Let me know if you have any specific questions! Summers are the best time for bookings. Between semesters I have full time flexibility to accommodate a variety of bookings and locations. Working for rover allows me to organize my hours in a way that is best for me and my clients. I live with roommates on campus, and alternate between living spaces when I am home, so having pets stay with me is not something I am able to accommodate at this time. I would love to be able to care for your pets elsewhere. I can do anything from long walks or games of fetch to tire an excited pup out, light training and feedings, and any help with medication or supplement schedules.
“Juan is AMAZING!! He went above and beyond with communication and over all care! My pup has special meds and Juan had no problem with it when feeding breakfast and dinner(: Juan went out of his way to go to a pet store to grab a sweater for my pup because it was cold out during their walks 🥹 It was so comforting to know Brody was with someone who goes the extra mile!! 10000% recommend!!!”

“Excellent service. Heather took good care of our cat and dog. She was very kind and communicative. She sent us pictures and messages so we didn’t have to worry about anything. She even stayed longer to make sure our dog was all set. I absolutely recommend her and will book her again.”

About: I grew up with dogs my whole life having as many as 5 at a time. I have done many houe sitting and dog watching for all kinds of animals. I now have a dog and a cat myself and love my furbabies! I currently am in a masters program mainly online, so I have a lot of time and would love to get out of the house to help care for your pets! My schedule is flexible but depends on my school schedule each week. I have experience putting animals in crates, certain rooms, or wherever you prefer. I am good at following instructions of how you like your pet cared for to make it as seamless as possible. With my experience of pet sitting I am open to letting them out in their space or longer walks, whatever you prefer.
“Chloe was fantastic! I was traveling with Winnie, a Boykin Spaniel puppy, and I had to stop for a few days of Work in the DC Metro. Chloe came over to the hotel and made sure that Winnie was fed, watered, walked and entertained while I worked all day. I'm sure this was a unique situation but Chloe made it work and did an excellent job. I highly recommend using Chloe, Thank you so much!”

About: Hello and welcome to my page 👋 I have several years of experience in dog sitting, not to mention my own adorable sidekick at home. When it comes to looking after pets, I'm all about being caring, attentive, and responsible. Being away from home can stress our furry friends out, so I make it a point to keep them entertained, distracted and showered with love to ensure that the furball feels secure and content. No room for sad pups on my watch! 😊 I have an opportunity to stay at home throughout the day, ensuring your fur baby has constant company. Whether it's playtime, relaxation, or a stroll in the sunshine, your pet will have a dedicated companion. I would be happy to keep you informed through text updates and share lots of photos to ensure you stay well-connected with your furry friend's experiences. 📸 What sets me apart from other sitters is that I'm genuinely passionate about ensuring your pooch has a fantastic time. I go the extra mile to establish a strong bond with each furry friend, and my genuine love for puppies adds a layer of enthusiasm to the care I provide. So, if you're after someone who'll make sure your pet has a blast and feels right at home, I'm your go-to person! 👩🏻♥️🐶 My schedule is pretty flexible right now – I'm diving into career studies, which means I've got loads of time to spend with your pup. I'm home all day, so we can go to the park, play fetch, or just chill whenever your dog needs it. Roy (my cavalier) has ~ 1.5 hours of outdoor fun every day. So, if your pup's a fan of long walks, I'm all in to make sure they get plenty of exercise and fresh air 🐾🐾 My apartment is non-smoking and has a fenced yard in a calm, dog-friendly neighborhood. Your pet will feel secure and welcome here. My Cavalier is super-friendly and loves to play (although he can be a bit shy at times 🥲). Being home all day allows me to be super flexible with routines. Rest assured, my place is fully pet-proofed and secured. Plus, we have a nearby veterinary clinic for any unforeseen needs. And I'm ready to follow your specific instructions, ensuring a personalized and comfortable experience for your fur baby.

Eliza is the best! She just gets it, and you can tell as soon as you meet her. She knows how to make even nervous dogs feel comfortable, gives each dog individualized care tailored to their temperament, didn't mind a high maintenance picky eater, sent lots of pics, made me feel so secure they were in good hands! Can't sing her praises enough

Victoria willingly accepted to sit my dog while I went on a last-minute work trip. She sent daily pictures, kept up with the dog's schedule flawlessly, and maintained constant communication. Truly a professional in every sense of the word. I'll seek her services again and recommended her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy sitter.

Winnie was AMAZING with our dog and cat. She gave them tons of attention and made sure they were mentally stimulated. She also sent us thorough updates after each drop-in, which relieved a lot of our anxieties. I would definitely rehire her, and I highly recommend her if you want someone who takes care of your pets like they’re her own.

Nina and Amax took wonderful care of my dog, Winter. From the start they were responsive, kind, and clearly experienced with dogs. They kept me updated and made sure Winter was comfortable and well cared for while I was away. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring sitters, and I would happily book with them again.
Nedia is absolutely amazing. My pup loves her so much and they had such a great time together. She is so sweet and considerate and I feel so good knowing she’s checking in and hanging out with him! The absolute best!! If you’re looking for someone to book she is the one!!! 🤍

This is the third time we have booked Amber for drop-in visits. She is an excellent pet sitter. Our dog is nervous around strangers. Amber has made him feel at ease and he looks forward to seeing her. She communicates frequently and always sends photos. We very much appreciate Amber and will definitely book her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
