About: I'm a college student and soccer player who loves dogs and misses mine at home! I have both small and big dogs growing up, so I'm comfortable with all breeds and personalities. I can keep up with high energy dogs and take. them on long walks at a great pace. Campus is full of dog-loving people who are happy to say hi and give pets if your dog loves attention! If your dog prefers quiet time, I have a calm dorm room where they can relax and feel safe. I'm responsible, reliable, and doing this to help with college. expenses, but mostly because I truly love dogs. I balance class and soccer practice every day, but my schedule is consistent so I have plenty of time for pet care. I'm available for drop-ins and walks throughout the day, with longer walks in the mornings and evenings. I provide a safe, calm, and clean environment for every pet in my care. I follow all instructions closely to maintain their routine and keep them happy and comfortable. I'm comfortable with dogs on the bed if that's their normal, and I have a crate available if needed.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 and have a Beagle who lives at my parents’ house. He’s 17 now so I have experience with older dogs. My boyfriend’s family has a small toy poodle who we have dog sat multiple times. Additionally, I have done dog walking for pets in the area. I usually take them out during my lunch break for a stroll around the block! I work from home everyday. My schedule on Monday’s and Fridays is typically pretty open. I am around most weekends so I have flexibility. My boyfriend, who also loves dogs works from home 2-3X per week so your pooch will get a lot of attention! Since I am currently in an apartment, smaller to medium sized dogs would be best. We also have a small balcony which dogs tend to love. Bonus: we have turf grass on there so they love it even more.

About: Hi! I’m Ashley — longtime dog mom and animal lover. I’ve had dogs my entire life and currently have two pups of my own, including a senior, so I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust caring for your pets. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs and understand that every pup has their own personality, routine, pace, and preferences. I’m more than happy to take our time, allow for plenty of sniff stops, and make sure your dog gets a walk that feels comfortable and enjoyable for them. I work for myself and also teach yoga locally, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available for daytime walks and drop-ins throughout the week. I love being outside and walking around Arlington, so adding a four-legged companion to my walks is pretty much a win-win. Most importantly, I’ll care for your dog the way I’d want someone to care for mine. I’m attentive, reliable, communicative, and happy to follow your pup’s normal routine and any specific instructions you have. And yes, you can absolutely expect photos and updates along the way. 🐶 Whether your dog needs a midday walk, a potty break, some company while you’re away, or just someone to give them a little extra love and attention, I’d be happy to help! I work for myself and set my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks and drop-in visits. I’m often available during the daytime, including those midday hours when many pet parents are at work, and can frequently accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits as well. Pet care fits naturally into my routine — I have two dogs of my own, so walks, potty breaks, and planning my day around four-legged family members are already part of everyday life! I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual schedule whenever possible so their routine stays as consistent as possible while you’re away. I care for every pet with the same attention and thoughtfulness I’d want someone to give my own. When visiting a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely and do my best to keep their pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible — whether that means a walk, feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, medications if needed, or simply some extra company and affection. I’m also very respectful of my clients’ homes and make sure everything is left exactly as I found it. I’ll keep you updated after each visit with photos and a quick recap so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Guiselle really went above and beyond to make sure our pets were all happy and comfortable! She was always responsive to questions, sent cute pictures, and gave reassuring updates. We will definitely reach out to her again in the future!”

“Jessie was absolutely incredible, stopping in every day for a week to play with and take care of our two cats! She gave thoughtful updates and lots of pictures, which we really appreciated. Her communication was great and you can tell she’s very detailed oriented. She even let us know our smoke alarm battery was dying and we were able to contact maintenance to get it fixed while we were away. I highly recommend booking her for a reliable sitter!!”

“Daniel has been an awesome drop in sitter. Extremely reliable and a great communicator. I am happy to have his services for the duration of my stay in NOVA!”

“Hannah took wonderful care of our medium-sized dog over the Fourth of July weekend. She was flexible, communicative, and proactive throughout the stay, especially when helping us monitor how our dog was handling the heat and the fireworks. When our return flights were unexpectedly canceled, she didn’t hesitate to extend the booking, which was a big help and peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Hannah again and highly recommend her!”

About: I have had a dog since I was 10 and learned all the responsibilities that come along with raising a dog. I have walked dogs for Wag during a summer when I was home from college and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have also looked after cats when their owners were away. I absolutely love dogs (and cats) and I would be so happy to spend some time with them. I work a full time job but 3 days a week I work from home so I can be flexible on those days with walk times. If you have any particular rules or expectations I am happy to listen and learn. I want your pets safe and happy and I intend to make that happen.

About: Been in Arlington since 2017 and despite having not owned since with family, have a lot of experience walking and sitting for friends and family. V much want to hang out with your pup, super down for walks, and sitting if theres a need! Moreso into this for my own personal emotional regulation (has a full-time job), so time/rates absolutely negotiable. Not really sure whats considered experience here, so will put amount of time I've lived with. I'd do this for less than $10 a walk if I could. I have a full-time, in office job, so I am much more suited for walks and longer hangs than I really am overnight sitting. My current apt building doesnt allow for pets, so if sitting were a thing, it'd have to be at yours. That said, I would take your pet out and they'd do things with me, my SO, and very likely also my friends. Happy to abide by your rules with le pup, would just need a rundown or list of things/actions you keep so as to try not to change much for them.
“We reached out to Tara again for a last minute drop in as we were at all day events this whole weekend. Tara was very flexible in checking in on our little guy we totally recommend!”

“Cheryl is great and her experience makes us really trust her work. She stepped up when we had a travel delay and communicated very effectively with us. We hope to use her lots more!”

“Paul was responsive and incredibly communicative. I needed to take a last-minute international trip. Within a few hours, we were able to schedule a time for Paul to take care of Clementine. I am definitely using his services again the next time I have to travel.”

“Alexandra was great and my kitten adored her! She provided updates, photos, and followed my instructions. Amazing communicator and I would use her services again! Thank you!”

“Emma is a wonderful cat sitter! Our boys can be super particular, but she did a great job of endearing herself to them. Super attentive, responsive, and pleasant to work with. Would book again in a heartbeat!”

“Drew was great with my “quirky” dogs while I was out of town. She took great care of them. She was on time, provided photos, kept me informed, etc. I would definitely use Drew again in the future.”

“Maria was awesome and took great care of our furbabies while we were out of town! She was great with communication always letting us know about the house and how our dogs were doing! We look forward to hiring her again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arlington
Samantha is an absolute gem! Before our first appointment she came over to meet my puppy and see my place. Her attention to detail and care for my puppy was so generous! Tucker looks forward to seeing her and she gives me the most amazing updates which give me so much peace of mind. Thank goodness for Samantha! Definitely recommend her to every fur parent out there!

Audrey was great with helping with our 4-month old puppy who is not yet house trained and crate trained! She came and stayed with Rocky for a few hours, was prompt, and was thorough in asking for directions - the appointment was scheduled on a fairly short notice as a first time client and Audrey took the initiative to propose a meet and greet. All around great experience!

Emma was so wonderful as a relatively last minute weekend sitter for my girl Hazel! She was very responsive, gave plenty of detailed updates and photos throughout the weekend, and gave me plenty of comfort that Hazel was in good hands! I would highly recommend Emma for anyone looking for a caring and kind sitter for their fur babies! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
