“Cindy took excellent care of our kitties and was so kind and understanding when I realized I had mixed up the dates requested. She took the time to get to know our cats names and they were in great hands with her!”

About: Hello there! Taking care, and loving dogs has always come naturally to me as I’ve had dogs in the house ever since I was born. Having professionally walked and taken care of dogs for over 5 years, I have a background in taking care of puppies, up to older dogs. I now how have a fur baby of my own, Oatis, and we would love to host your pup for play and cuddle time! Oatis is a 8 year old mixed breed who loves other dogs and has frequented doggy day care. If your dog has anything that could make their time more enjoyable, please let me know any dislike or likes I should be aware of! I work fully remote so I will be with your dog all day! We have a fenced in backyard that pups can frequent, and Oatis will make sure to give warm welcome to any new dogs in the home. Having grown up with a diverse group of dogs in the house, I know how to properly take care of and respond to dogs of all ages and sizes. I am happy to learn more about each pet and make sure to offer their parent and themselves the best experience possible! Safety and the happiness of the pet is my number one priority!
“We have very high maintenance cats and fully understand that we asked a lot of Kristin while we were away. She did a stellar job showing up each day, giving one of our cats his inhaler, turning on cat tv, mixing in supplements... we know, we are THOSE neurotic cat parents! Nevertheless, she did everything we asked and we felt like they were taken care of. Thank you, Kristin, for respecting our cat's routines and putting up with all of our requests!”

About: As a pet-owner and rover-user myself, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust take care of your pets when you aren't available. I am passionate about giving dogs happy highlights to each and every day, and I love to play with them and take them on long walks to sniff and enjoy the outdoors. As a work-from-home employee, I am often free during work hours to pay your pet a visit or take them on a nice walk to help break up the day while you are away! I can be free on evenings and weekends as well, and would be happy to spend time playing with your pet and giving them happy moments each and every day while they wait for you to return. My dog loves to play indoors, which means I am extra vigilant that the house is safe for him should he get zoomies and run around the furniture. I would be careful to provide that safe environment for your dog as well, in your home or mine.
About: I have big family with a lot of different pets in it😅 is that how I know that pets love me and everything gonna be awesome I’m having a remote job and a lot of free time so I can for sure fit around your schedule. We definitely can figure it out I’m totally OK with going to the clients home. I also live here in S. Lee St. Alexandria. But I’m not looking to host the pet in my house regularly
“Cynthia did a wonderful job taking care of our cat while we were out of the country for a week. She was flexible to meet up beforehand, thorough, and gave great updates throughout the week. I will definitely book her again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life ranging from our own family dogs (up to 5 at one point). To training hound puppies for a local fox hunting kennel. I have experience with dogs ranging from 2-4 lbs up to 75-100lbs! I’m currently WFH so my hours are flexible. Anything around lunch time or early in the morning is the best for me but with heads up I can make time. I have dog sat for close friends at their apartment only as mine does not pets. I have been able to follow specific instructions on feeding and attention as well as walking dogs that aren’t overly friendly!
“Cassandra, was AWESOME!!! She took such good care of Felix. I had to be out for several days come back and then be gone again for some time, however I didn't have to worry about his care while she was watching him. Not only that he had some ear scratches and that she informed me of and he now has a vet appointment but it was so nice to have a sitter to care enough to let me know and to monitor that.”

About: Hi there thanks for visiting my profile! As a fellow dog parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet. I offer boarding in my home, as well as walks and drop-in visits, and I’ll treat your dog like one of my own with lots of love, attention, and care. My husband and I live in a home with both a fenced-in front yard and backyard, giving pups plenty of space to safely play, explore, and burn off energy. Whether your dog loves long walks, indoor playtime, or just relaxing with snuggles, I’m happy to tailor their care to their needs. I’m also comfortable with feeding schedules and administering medications, and I’ll keep you updated with regular check-ins and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Please feel free to reach out with any questions I’d love to meet you and your pup! I work From home so if I'm sitting for your pet, I will be home to care for your animal during the duration of their stay. We live in a house with a fenced in front and backyard. Tons of room to play and relax! If your pup is ever outside they will never be alone. We will be there to supervise always!
About: I've taken care of dogs all ages and breeds since I was about 8, and have spent a great deal of time caring for small breeds and seniors. I'm experienced in senior care involving medication regimens, dietary restrictions, and attentiveness to exercise and bathroom needs, as well as all the extra loving in between! Conversely, I have a good deal of experience in sticking to the puppy training schedule and command words as well as the patience necessary in the learning process. I'm currently a graduate student on summer break and have all the time in the world to look after your fur babies! I am available most (if not all) weekends as well as during the work week through the end of August I am able to commute to your home to care for your pets and adhere to whatever their daily schedule may look like. From walks, meals, nap time, and everything in between I am able to accommodate most services to keep them comfortable in your absence!
About: I have experience with many different types of dogs (and some cats!) My family has had dogs my entire life from Rottweilers, to Bull Terriers, to Frenchies! Your pup will get all the love and attention it needs with me. I currently work full-time in an office Tuesday-Thursday, but am able to go home for breaks if your pup needs to go out during the day. I do have a very friendly 2 year old old Frenchie, so your pet must be able to be around other dogs. We go on daily walks and outside 5+ times a day. Pets are allowed on all furniture and can be on the bed if potty trained. I do have stairs so just one thing to keep in mind!
“Just did a meet and greet with Jhonny. He was great. Very communicative with quick responses. It was last minute that I reached out to him and he was flexible in being able to make time right away. Chunk loved him too. Definitely looking forward to working with him in the near future.”

“Allegra was a wonderful drop-in sitter for our kitty! She took great care to follow all instructions and took time to play with and cuddle with our cat while we were away. Would happily hire her again!”

I currently work part time at target and i am also a student, my off days are tuesdays and thursdays so that is my only availability as of right now sadly, but the time would be very flexible. i have 3 dogs as of right now, they are all fully grown pups. “Andrea has been amazing! The dogs love her. She is very responsive and gives great updates in her visit details. She was willing to stop by ahead of our first scheduled drop-in to meet the pups. I’ve rebooked with her and plan to continue!”

“Grateful to Terez for her cat sitting services! We have a shy cat that likes to hide from sitters. It was no biggie for Terez, she's a pro. She feed Bandit and cleaned the litter box, brought in mail and communicated each day. Will book again, thanks!”

About: Hi! I have grown up taking care of many dogs throughout my life. I grew up with Great Danes so I am a lover of big dogs! I have dog sat for many friends and family members who have a wide variety of breeds. I also have experience giving older dogs medication or specialized diets. I look forward to helping you for your fur baby! I am currently a full time registered nurse who works 3 overnights shifts a week. I often have 3-4 days off per week that I am available to take care of your pet. My days of availability do vary week to week but on those days off I am typically available all day. I live in a small apartment building with walkable areas and parks within close distance. There are a lot of grassy areas nearby that are dog friendly. I currently do not own a dog so your pet would be the only one in the space !
“Emma was so attentive and wonderful with my cat, making sure to give him lots of love and sending me pictures to keep me updated the whole time I was away. Was very communicative and would answer my questions right away. Would recommend again and again!”

Alexandria dog parents share their Rover experiences
Anna is an amazing sitter and I would definitely rebook her again. I initially was nervous about using rover since it was my first time, but Anna reassured me by being communicative while she was with my pups. My dogs are rescues who take some time to warm up to folks and Anna was willing to be patient and extra cautious when she was with them. The dogs also had some accidents while I was away and Anna was kind enough to clean up and even adjusted the dogs’ food portions to ensure that they were ok. She’s an excellent and caring sitter!
I had a great experience working with Alex! She was able to accommodate a short notice request. My pets felt immediately comfortable with her. I appreciated her quick responses to messages and the photos from every visit. I would highly recommend Alex and would work with her again with no hesitation!

It was great working with Tia! She’s prompt in responding, provides updates with pictures and was very patient and kind with my pup. I greatly appreciate the extra care you gave her. I will definitely reach out again in the future for a drop in visit. Thank you so much, Tia!

Just did a meet and greet with Jhonny. He was great. Very communicative with quick responses. It was last minute that I reached out to him and he was flexible in being able to make time right away. Chunk loved him too. Definitely looking forward to working with him in the near future.
