“Another fantastic experience with Carolina! I always leave fairly detailed instructions for my cats, and she followed everything to the letter—exact feeding times, treat preferences, even adjusting the blinds and checking the litter robot. Her attention to detail gives me complete peace of mind while I’m away. On top of that, she sent thoughtful updates and photos each visit, and the cats clearly adore her. I genuinely appreciate the care and consistency she brings every time. Highly recommend!”

About: I've loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. From ages 10 to 18, I lived in a home with multiple pets, including dogs, cats, and birds of all ages. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, playing, administering medication, and providing daily care to ensure they were happy and healthy. Today, I have my own dog, Loki, who has been part of my family for the past three years. I believe pets are family, and I treat every animal with the same compassion, patience, and love that I give my own. My goal is to provide a safe, caring, and dependable experience so you can have peace of mind while your furry family member is in my care. I'm available weekdays from 9 AM–9 PM and weekends from 10 AM–8 PM. Since I have a dog at home, I provide attentive care in your pet's familiar environment. I provide respectful, loving care in your pet's familiar environment, following their routine and treating them with the same attention and compassion I give my own dog. I am very comfortable with taking them on walks within your residential area.
“Erin was wonderful! I had complete confidence during my trip that my fur baby was in good hands. She left the BEST pictures and extremely detailed notes which helped ease my mind and made me feel like I was there and didn’t need to question what happened during the visit. She was extremely communicative and kind. I would highly recommend Erin if you are looking for someone you can trust while you are away.”

“Mandy was wonderful! She took great care of my dog and cat, was very communicative, and made me feel very comfortable leaving them in her care! I would definitely recommend Mandy to anyone!”

“Erin was fantastic! She was communicative and took great care of our cats while we were away. We have one very high energy cat and one very shy cat and she was great with both - she was even able to pet the shy cat a few times! She went out of her way to make the process easy, met the cats in advance to learn their routine, followed instructions exactly, and sent tons of pictures while we were away. We will definitely reach out to Erin when we need pet sitting and recommend her highly!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, and even a tortoise! My family has also fostered many dogs over the years, so I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from young puppies to senior dogs. I’m comfortable giving oral medications, following special diets, and caring for pets with different needs and routines. I’ve also pet sat for friends and family and understand how important it is to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I’m very active and love going on walks, so I’d be more than happy to have a four-legged friend join me! I recently moved to the area for graduate school and would love some furry company while exploring the area and getting my daily walks in. I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the week and on weekends for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual routine and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and company while they’re in my care. I always treat pets and their homes with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m comfortable following specific feeding, medication, walking, and care routines, and I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I’m very active and love going on walks, so your dog will have no shortage of opportunities to get outside!
“Holly has been watching our babies for over a year now and she is by far the best sitter we have ever had. She always goes above and beyond and we feel so safe and secure knowing she’s caring for our cats. On top of her excellent care, they ADORE her which is no small feat”

“Erin has been an incredible sitter for my puppy, Sienna! She is kind, dependable, and has such a calming presence. It was obvious from the start that she truly cares about the dogs she looks after. She took her time with Sienna, was incredibly patient, and always kept me updated with thoughtful messages and adorable photos. Knowing Sienna was with someone so attentive made returning to work so much easier. She was punctual, communicative, and went above and beyond by sending frequent updates and photos after each visit. Her genuine compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for dogs really stand out. I’m so grateful to have found someone I completely trust with my puppy, I would happily book Erin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

“Caroline is an excellent pet sitter! Very timely, attentive, and communicative. She provided lots of updates and pictures. I came home to very happy, relaxed cats. Absolutely recommend!”

“I reached out to Quiana in the late evening on Su day night hoping to arrange care for my pup on Tuesday morning. Quiana responded promptly, and though I had a morning full of meetings, and I was scheduled to travel on Monday afternoon, Quiana suggested and made herself available for a meet and greet early Monday morning. Aksel loved her immediately, showed his ball off to her and even tried sharing it with her (unheard of with strangers). Aksel has separation anxiety and usually has a pretty hard time when I travel. After seeing Quiana for 2 mornings in a row (meet & greet included), Aksel woke up on fhe 3rd day anticipating her arrival. He pickup up his stuffy and stood at the door waiting. Needless to say, seeing that instantly made my heart smile. He has a long top knot and shook out his ponytail, she took time to find something to his hair back before leaving When it's wet outside, she attempts to at least dry his feet, even though he's more interested in playing tug of war with the towel. She's my favourite person of the month and is definitely going to be a part of Aksel's village moving forward.”

“My dog, Mocha, absolutely loves Rachel! I never have to worry when I leave her in Rachels care. My pup is always so happy (and exhausted) when I come back. Rachel takes special caution with my pup and her age - always taking things at her limit and being cognizant of the temperature out. Shes great at making my dog feel special and loved when I am not around. Thank you Rachel!”

“Just did a meet and greet with Jhonny. He was great. Very communicative with quick responses. It was last minute that I reached out to him and he was flexible in being able to make time right away. Chunk loved him too. Definitely looking forward to working with him in the near future.”

“Really appreciate Adriana helping out with little notice. I know Bo had a great time with her. She was great on communication as well! Will definitely be contacting her again for future services.”
About: I grew up with all types of dogs in the house, from Great Danes to Chihuahuas, so I am well-versed in the needs of all breeds! I love animals, but I am in grad school and unable to have one of my own right now, so I am super excited to help out others! I am currently a full-time graduate student at GWU that is working part time. I have some free time in the middle of the week (Tuesdays through Thursdays) where I am readily available in the mornings/evenings! I make sure the basic needs are met first, so your furry friend won’t go hungry/thirsty on my watch (the bare minimum, I know). I also love being active, so I will make sure that your pet has fun and is well-stimulated under my care!
“I have had Rachel drop in on Emmy multiple times now and is my go to for looking after her when I'm gone. She is responsible, timely and professional. Very easy to communicate with and flexible. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for drop-in help!”

“Allegra was a wonderful drop-in sitter for our kitty! She took great care to follow all instructions and took time to play with and cuddle with our cat while we were away. Would happily hire her again!”

About: Your pet is in excellent hands. Growing up, I was surrounded by animals - from dogs and cats to horses and chickens. Your pet will receive doting care from me. I will feed, sit, and play with your cats and dogs. I’m happy to refresh your pet’s food and water, walk your dog, and clean the litter box. I aim to put you and your pet at ease when you are away from home. I work part-time, so my schedule is adaptable to your needs. I am free days, nights, and most weekends to drop-in and take care of your pet. I will make sure that your dog or cat feels loved while you are away. For cats and dogs, I’ll refresh water and food daily and keep them company so they don’t feel alone. For dogs, I’ll gladly walk them twice daily.
“Cynthia was wonderful! She was kind, communicative, and we arrived home to two very content cats. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a responsible caretaker!!”

“I am so happy we found Sarah! She’s very communicative, and provides excellent care…letting owners know exactly what she’s doing…and she takes great pictures! She went above and beyond what was asked, and I truly felt my pup was in the best care possible. Would recommend to anyone, and we will certainly be booking her again!”

About: I have experience with many different types of dogs (and some cats!) My family has had dogs my entire life from Rottweilers, to Bull Terriers, to Frenchies! Your pup will get all the love and attention it needs with me. I currently work full-time in an office Tuesday-Thursday, but am able to go home for breaks if your pup needs to go out during the day. I do have a very friendly 2 year old old Frenchie, so your pet must be able to be around other dogs. We go on daily walks and outside 5+ times a day. Pets are allowed on all furniture and can be on the bed if potty trained. I do have stairs so just one thing to keep in mind!

Cait was positively amazing! She went above and beyond while taking care of my English Bulldogs. She was very detailed at providing detailed feedback on everything she did. She took tons of photos and I could tell my dogs were very happy! I will use her again and again! Highly recommend her!

Jaylyn did an amazing job taking care of Athena! She was dependable, attentive, and kept me updated throughout the entire time I was away. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
