Energetic young woman who, after 17 years of hoping to become a veterinarian, is making her way through Physician Assistant school. Of course I am dedicated and responsible, but that's only half the battle! What is far more important to note is that I am an absolute animal lover. I am originally from Seattle and have had 5 Golden Retrievers throughout my life - one who went to college with me and is my best friend in the whole wide world. Since then, I have added a rescue hound and cat, both with medical issues. Rest assured I will treat your pup (or kitty!) as my own. I am active and love to be outdoors, but it's so much better when a furry friend (or two, or three) tag along :) I completely understand how busy and hectic life can get, and you never want your animal to be bored. Abbey was/is wonderful! I'd had another sitter cancel at the last minute, and she came through, responding right away, coming over to meet my two cats and to confirm the schedule we set up. She sent updates about and pictures of my kitties (which helped with the fact of me missing them:) They quickly adjusted to her presence, which was awesome. She took time to feed, play, and just love them up! She clearly loves and is delighted by animals in general! Upon my return, it was clear my cats were happy, settled, and had been well looked after. Abbey also took care with instructions given, letting me know along the way if she had questions. I felt like my cats were in very good hands, and would highly recommend Abbey to others. She's good, kind, caring, and totally responsible on all fronts. Thank you very much Abbey!
Abbey saved the day coming at the last minute to have a drop in with my dog. It went very well and I appreciated her fast response to do this.

Schedule
I am a full-time graduate student currently in clinical rotations. My schedule changes week to week, but my calendar is up to date until November 4, when I will receive my next clinical schedule. With that being said, please note that calendar availability does not reflect hours, so we can discuss specifics when you reach out with a booking request.

I have access to many parks within walking distance, as well as a fenced deck (concrete) and large wire crate (with a divider to accommodate different size animals). If at your own home, I promise to be respectful of your space, uphold whatever level of communication makes you feel comfortable, and follow all necessary instructions. This service is meant to relieve stress, not add more!
Pets
A typical day
My favorite place to walk my own dog is by the water. It allows for so many sensory experiences and space to tire out even the most energetic pup. With so many smells, places to play, and trails to run/walk, it's always a fun time. There is also a dog park nearby that promotes socialization and lots of fun smells. If you would prefer to keep your dog away from public parks and trails, Old Town and Edmonds have a wonderful sidewalk loops that will not only give your dog an exercise opportunity, but will also naturally file their nails so you don't have to pay for expensive trimmers or bring them to the vet. I can run, walk, or a mixture of both, depending on your pup's joint mobility and preferences. If you have a place you'd prefer I bring your furry friend, please let me know!
