Hi! My name is Tara, I work for an education nonprofit here in Alexandria old town, I love dogs and cats:) live in a townhouse close to work, have a little backyard and deck, have some flexible time and would like to take care of cute fur babies. I’m super detail oriented and organized! Will provide good care and love. I’m pretty active, enjoy long walks and running. I also enjoy taking doggies to wineries and breweries if you like. I enjoy getting to know the doggies and work with families around the year for their travel plan. I live very close to Alexandria commons shopping mall, i enjoy working with neighbors around. Price negotiable depending on distance and service needed. **I usually have 1 or 2 doggies at home. Very rarely that I don’t have anyone. I have usual customers existing requests or sometimes last min request that I try to accommodate. Even though you might only do meet and greet with my dog and not necessarily meet every dog during your dog staying, I know most dogs very well, they come to me all year round or all summer round at least. I have capacity to separate doggies too if needed.

We rely on Tara to take care of our little baby girl chocolate lab and we trust her implicitly. She is a terrific dog sitter. She's very conscientious and she always gives extremely good and thorough reports. We highly recommend her.
Tara is a fantastic sitter. She went above and beyond to accommodate me last minute, taking amazing care of my puppy and older dog. She is very communicative and took tons of pictures, allowing me to feel at ease that they were taken care of.
Tara was great. Always communicated about how Henry was and took great care of him during his stay.
We love having Tara part of our crew! She does a wonderful job communicating with us and being flexible with any changes that might come up. We know Piper and Monty appreciate their afternoon drop ins with her!
Tara was willing to throw dirt in the air for our weird dog. That is her favorite pastime and we are very thankful for Tara's willingness and flexibility

Schedule
I have a young playful black lab (Addisonian). We go to three dog parks often: Ben Brenman Park Dog Park, Duke Street Dog Park and Shirlington Dog Park (most often).

I mostly work from home. When i go to work, i will go for 2-3 hours, usually one day per week. My husband Andrew go to work at 1pm. He has random days off, not always Sat and Sun. He helps me, tags along occasionally as well. (Please let me know if you prefer my care only:))

A typical day
I have a small backyard that doggies can play at. I enjoy walking the dogs in my neighborhood-around the pond and further into more quiet neighborhood.
