About: I had a black lab growing up and now I have a 7lb chihuahua named Chloe who is super chill, harmless who keeps to herself. She acts more like a cat. I've dog sat for friends in the past as well as been a dog walker for neighbors. I work from home and have been for years so I'm pretty flexible. I may only leave to run errands but I am usually not gone for long periods of time. I walk my dog 3X a day, we take actual walks. She is getting old and doesn't like to be out much, but I really do enjoy the outdoors. My dog roams free when I'm home. I usually crate her and will crate your dog as well if I step out. I live in a large community with plenty of walking space. I have two kids, 10 and 14 who love dogs as well, but I'm responsible for walking and taking care of the dogs. My son is the one who really likes to play with other dogs because Chloe is not a playful, fetching type of dog. I've used Rover myself a couple of times when I was out of town.

About: Hello there! My name is Romon, you can also call me Griz. I suppose my friends see me as the momma or papa bear of the group haha. Anyway I've been taking care of my friend's, family's, and of course personal 'furry best friends'. I have a background in personal training and fitness. Never really ran into a dog that didn't like or respect me at least after the first couple treats or games I was able to play with them. Recently lost two friends one moved away the other, Sasha; a poodle mix of 12 years, passed away I was luckily able to spend more time with her during 2020 before she had to go. Her memories are still with me and I know many are back to work and wish they could spend more time with their newest pups. We can work together to make sure they're, well taken care of, and I just wanted to help out and lessen the load of watching over these wonderful epitomes of joy and energy. I've walked, sitted, played with, slept besides, and even cleaned up after all sorts of dogs from puppyhood to very senior dogs, 10lbs to 100+lbs believe it or not, can't seem to get a break from them, which I don't mind! Lastly I hope to get to know your fuzzy yet amazing family members on a professional and even better, personal level. Feel free to message for any questions I pay very close attention to any special instructions. I've recently found great streams of income im able to maintain at home while working on my online degree Fortunately my major for the 3rd semester in a row is online only. My schedule is pretty open and flexible so I wanted to make the most of my situation and again the main thing is to help out new or out of practice pet owners. Im free at all hours of day and night outside of a select few evenings where I train clients to achieve their fitness goals. Mostly online so feel free to reach out and schedule with me if youd like recurring services. We'll make it work. Im a capable and loving pet owner that doesn't mind breaking a sweat. I would love to keep your fur baby busy AND happy whether its a small walk with portable water bowls, at home self made doggy puzzles to keep their minds sharp and busy, even if I am tired, for those longer sessions. I have access and experience to great doggy parks equipped with fencing and great walking areas, and lots of car space for those longer trips or incase of an emergency where I have to safely transfer your fluffy children quickly. I have a lot of experience to share and rely on too much to list here but go ahead and quiz me at Fanaticallymotivated email on google for those of you new or unsure of my services with the Rover service provider. I hope to work with you both and take care of any worries.

About: I love all the dogs. I enjoy playing with them and taking walks. I love long hiking in the parks where me and dogs can be closer to nature. I have always met only great dogs. They all have different personalities and this is something that requires patience and understanding to allow the dog connect with me. However, as big or small the dog can be, it has no difference for me. In my life I had only one time dog biting me and it was when I was a child and was running through the neighbor's property and the dog did his duty and started running after me. He scratched my left leg with his teeth, but it was more of a gentle warning, than a bite. Dogs listen to me very well. Sometimes I get surprised myself how well they respond to me. This is something I would enjoy doing with all my heart Dogs are amazing creatures! Thank you, Oksana

The 3 boys (cats) enjoyed their time worth Corridsa and her ability to drop in on them made a highly stressful summer resort to manage. They was some initial confusion about hope long their custody were supposed to be, which she addressed very quickly. She is communicative, thorough, and very reliable! Exactly what we needed, especially with the world going wonky on us the last few months.

About: I’ve taken care of several pets since I was young. I had several dogs and cats (sometimes at the same time!). I love walking and playing with dogs, I’ve trained my puppy. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I have also taken care of kittens and adult cats. I have litter trained kittens and played with them often. I currently work full time, but am more than happy to watch your fur baby on my days off! I have days off where I have no plans and would love to spend it with more dogs or with your cat! I have a fenced in yard and two fur babies (dogs) of my own who are friendly and can keep your fur baby company. I am use to watching other people’s fur babies in a 24 hour care setting.

About: My partner and I work together to provide reliable and attentive house sitting and pet care throughout the DMV area. I currently work part-time as a concierge, which has strengthened my professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for building security and residents’ privacy. My partner is studying online to become an electrician, which gives him a flexible schedule and a strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving. We also have a cat of our own, so we understand the importance of routine, litter care, enrichment, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior. Caring for animals in their home requires patience and attentiveness, and we take that seriously. Together, we have experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. Working as a team allows us to provide consistent supervision, maintain routines, and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. We are comfortable with: • Small to large dogs • Senior pets • Multiple-pet households • Following detailed feeding and care schedules We prioritize clear communication, cleanliness, and maintaining a calm, secure environment at all times. Our goal is to provide dependable care so you can travel with peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into our routine. I work some night concierge shifts, which gives me flexibility during the day to maintain feeding schedules, walks, and check-ins. Spending time outdoors with pets is a great balance after overnight work, and I enjoy being active with them. My partner studies in the evenings, so we are both structured and routine-oriented. Having pets in our care fits well with our schedule, as we prioritize consistency, fresh air, and daily activity. Because of our schedule flexibility, we are able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening care while ensuring pets receive attentive and reliable supervision. She really went above and beyond taking care of my cat. I got thoughtful updates, photos, and could tell my cat was genuinely comfortable and cared for the whole time. It made being away so much less stressful. I came home to a happy cat and everything in great shape. I’d absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

About: Hi my name is Crystal and I am currently a college student majoring in Environmental Science! I have owned and fostered an array of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, and turtles. I currently live with two cats, one of which has Feline Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I am looking forward to meeting and taking care of your animals :) I am currently in my last semester of college, so I have plenty of availability to care for your pets! I usually have class between 12 pm - 2 pm most days, and 7pm-9pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have full availability Friday-Sunday! About: Animals have always been a central part of my life. I have owned and cared for pets since I was seven years old and worked for the humane society for two years while attending college. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing them with love, attention, patience, and a safe environment. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, car rides, and engaging them in playtime activities that keep them happy, active, and mentally stimulated. My experience with a variety of breeds has given me extensive knowledge of different temperaments, behaviors, and care needs. I am gentle, dependable, and committed to ensuring every pet feels comfortable and secure. In addition to caring for my own animals, I have rescued pets and helped provide safe homes for those in need. I am also a dedicated supporter of the humane society because I believe pets truly enrich our lives. Each animal has a unique personality and special way of communicating, and I find great joy in building trusting relationships with them. For me, caring for pets is more than a responsibility—it's a passion and a way of helping save and improve lives. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a working professional, I understand the importance of balancing responsibilities while ensuring pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. I schedule pet visits, walks, feeding times, and playtime just as I would any other important commitment. I am organized, dependable, and committed to making sure your pet receives consistent care, companionship, and affection throughout the day. Your pet's well-being will always be a priority in my schedule. A place where tails wag, paws play, and dogs are treated like family! At 3BK Scratch & Play Hut, your furry companion will enjoy all-day play, safe and engaging walks, endless cuddles, affection, and plenty of love. ❤️❤️ We provide a fun, comfortable, and caring environment where every dog receives personalized attention, companionship, and the care they deserve. Whether your pup loves to play, explore, relax, or snuggle, they'll feel right at home with us. Because every dog deserves a day filled with happiness, love, and belly rubs! 🐾❤️🐶

They were absolutely amazing. I just moved to the area from Texas and had to travel to Colorado for my niece’s birthday, but couldn’t bring my dog. My usual pet sitter is back in Texas, so I was unexpectedly without pet care. When the dates of my trip changed, they were generous and flexible enough to watch Scooby a little longer. Scooby normally takes a while to warm up to new people and can be particularly hesitant around men, but he bonded with them incredibly quickly. They truly exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and wonderful with pets.

Proactive, problem-solver and oh so gracious and accommodating. I recently moved on very short notice, house is a disorganized collection of boxes and wrapped furniture. Had another sitter who cancelled on me, but Aja stepped up to the challenge. Even brought her own supplies when we couldn't find ours in the house. Professional, friendly and the dogs seemed pretty impressed also. She's now my go to.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
