“Matthew took great care of our dog! He regularly sent pictures and our pup came home exhausted from all the yard/park play. Will definitely book again with him next time we go away.”

“Lindsay was great, as well as her family. She provided pictures and responded quickly with any questions. I would definitely recommend and use her in the future! You can leave your pet without worry!”

“Branden was wonderful with Bruno who loves a lot of attention. He was responsive when I checked in and also provided updates. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times. Im very careful who I leave my Bruno with and I will book with Branden again.”

“Tamara was fantastic! Hands down the best sitter I’ve had. I boarded my little guy with her for about 4 days. She sent me pictures and videos and kept me updated throughout on how he was doing. It really put me at ease and let me know he was in great hands. I would 100%recommend.”

“Exceeded my expectations! This dynamic duo is truly a dream team. They took very good care of my Tyson since the meet and greet! They are very communicative and will send you as little or as many updates as you can take. This was my first time away from my baby and it’s warming to find out I was the one with separation anxiety while he had a friend and a safe space to be a dog! Will DEFINITELY be using there awesome services again!”

“I felt very comfortable leaving Obi with Payton and her husband for two nights. They were responsive and sent photos and videos, and Obi looked relaxed and like he was having a great time. I would definitely book with them again!”

About: Recently married and paying off bills! If you have animal needs, I'm your girl! I've had cats and dogs my whole life. All kinds of breeds-mostly huge ones🤣 husky, chow, labs. I currently swap pet care with a neighbor, so I figured why not sign up for Rover! She said she used to do it, and she enjoyed Rover. It gives me a dopamine boost every time I get to see the fur babies. I'll treat them just as my own. I work from home, so with enough notice, I can make time to make runs out to care of your pets! I am in Temple Hills - very nearby is easiest. I usually immediately let out the dogs or walk the dogs. Then I feed them. While they are eating, I will do whatever needs to be done such as filling water bowls, cleaning up messes, etc. Then once they are done, I give lots of hugs or play depending on the doggie needs. Some dogs just want to sit under my feet and sleep while I'm at the counter or some dogs have all the energy in the world. Cats tend to just be cats 🤣 I had a cat that requires injections, so long as the dog or cat tolerates, I can do shots, oral or topical meds.
“Jennifer and Louis were very friendly and accommodating for me and my pup first overnight stay I was very nervous in the beginning due to it being my dog first overnight stay. I a new to the app and was looking for a playful friendly dog that my dog can stay and play with occasionally. We have found one thank you Jennifer and Louis for your hospitality pictures and videos everything went great!”

“Melissa is a great dog sitter! My son and I used Melissa while we were in Kansas for Thanksgiving. Iris, our miniature pincher (8lbs) was with her for 7-8 days. We usually take Iris with us on vacation, so this was our first time leaving her, especially for this many days. She updated me everyday with multiple pictures and comments. This really eased my mind. Melissa took care of Iris as if she was her own, that was awesome and what Iris needs. Iris was taken on walks, played in her backyard area which was fenced in, and enjoyed the company of the other dogs. I will absolutely use Melissa again to take care of our Iris. I recommend Melissa! Five stars!”

“Stephanie was such a great host to my dog Bruno, she maintained communication/updates throughout the visit and was very attentive to my instructions for Bruno given he has a hard time adjusting to new places. Would definitely book with them again! -Lindsay”

“?????Five stars for Lillian! Our pup Cupcake had a great stay with Lillian! She communicated well & was very responsive. She took lots of great photos and videos, and she was kind enough to drop off Cupcake at the end when our schedules didn’t align. I would definitely recommend letting Lillian dog sit your pup! Cupcake will be back Lillian so be prepared! Lol! ?”

“This was my first time leaving my fur baby so I was nervous but Alaysia was prompt, professional, and so loving! She sent many pics and videos while we were away and I didn't think my baby would want to come nack home. I know that he was cared for. I will definitely trust her with my Bleu again.”

“Tommy was a fantastic caretaker for our energetic dog! He kept us updated and clearly took amazing care of Percy. We will definitely trust him in the future! Thank you!”

“First time using Rover. Shane was magnificent and my dog is so upbeat. Definitely will use him again. He sent constant updates and pictures of how my dog was going throughout the stay.”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
About: I love all pets. I have been pet sitting since I was a teen. My clients trust me and they know their beloved pets will be well taken care of with me. I currently work full time. I have a very flexible job that allows me to have enough time to care for your pet when needed. I have a large yard where your pet can play and explore. The house is large enough for my and your friends. My pets are very friendly and love having visitors.
“Serena is great! We needed a last minute affordable dog sitter while we went on a family Vacation and Serena came thru! We would recommend her for sure. She is friendly and has great communication. She sent pictures of our dog Taz throughout his stay. We will use Serena’s services again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Camp Springs
Megan was a great sitter for a short stay for my cat! She had good, reliable communication with me and made sure to send me picture update which was reassuring as this was my first time using Rover. Overall, great experience and I appreciate the patience she gave to my anxious baby. I will definitely book with Megan again.

Excellent care from start to finish. My dog came home happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. I truly appreciated the attention and care that was provided. I would definitely recommend this sitter to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable caregiver for their pet.

Ivy and Ruby rarely show excitement when visiting or spending time with humans, they tend to be rather chill or nonchalant. However, when they connect the dots that they are visiting with Lillian, they get excited and I see joy in them that brings me much comfort. Thank you Lilian for creating space for my little girls and for providing them exceptional care.

We had such a great experience! She took amazing care of Mischa and kept us updated with pictures and messages throughout her stay. She was so attentive to Mischa’s allergies and itching and made sure she was always comfortable and happy. You could tell she genuinely loved having her, and Mischa clearly felt right at home! We felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands and would absolutely book with her again! ❤️

Found Melonie on Rover and first met her back in January for a meet and greet before a trip I had been planning. That trip ended up not happening, so this was actually our first time using her services. The original meet-up went so well. My dog Sky isn't very socialized and tends to be anxious around new people and places, so how quickly she took to Melonie was a great sign. This was also the first time we'd left Sky with anyone outside of family, so that mattered a lot to us. Since some time had passed, Melonie graciously offered to do another meet and greet before this booking. Sky warmed up to her right away again. This time I brought my daughter along, and she felt just as confident in Melonie as I did. We both knew Sky was in good hands. Melonie has such a calm, pleasant presence, and it clearly puts Sky at ease. She sent us daily updates with pictures throughout the stay, and Sky looked happy and relaxed in every one. We'll absolutely be booking with Melonie again in the future!

Brieana and her family were absolutely amazing! We had a last minute cancellation with the person who typically watches Vito and she responded immediately and set up a meet greet. We could sense the comfort Vito felt with the family the second he walked in so we already had an overwhelming feeling of calm going into our weekend. When picking him up he was so happy but also super relaxed and it was clear he had a great stay with them. I couldn’t suggest Brieana enough. She will be at the top of our list for Vito I’m pretty sure he’s found a new best friend 😊.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
