“Stephanie and Luis were great with my dog, Shipley. I felt like I picked the best possible spot for him to stay while I was out of town. I will definitely rebook in the future!”

“WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY SOOOO MANY SITTERS... I checked the schedule of every sitter before making contact to ensure that they were available. I made contact with at least 10 sitters and got "I'm out of town" or no response at all. The issue was my dog was asked not to return to a commercial kennel "Muddy Paws." There was no violence or aggressive behavior, just anxiety shown by barking, howling, tipping food, and water. But all of this is in Ash's bio, and finally, someone was real enough to tell me. "After reading your dogs bio, I don't feel comfortable with him." So I gave up and started to cancel a much needed family vacation. Then I got a small sign and tried Lindsay. She was the only one who asked, "What happened at Muddy Paws?". From there, we exchanged texts, and she asked if we could have a meet and greet that day. We had a wonderful meet and greet, and she took Ash for our vacation. And from there, we were thoroughly impressed. We got pictures, videos, and text messages. My wife actually got a little jealous due to how comfortable Ash looked and smiled in every picture. Plus, he found a new best friend in her dog, Remi. Now, if you are curious to know how Ash did, I highly recommend you ask Lindsay. She even went as far as to write something the other sitters could read that would educate them on Ash's behavior. And we appreciate that so much. BUT AS LONG AS LINDSAY IS A SITTER, ASH DOES NOT HAVE ANY OTHER SITTERS. THANKS YOU, Lindsay, from the entire Jones family.”

“Miss Bougiee had a wonderful time with Roxsand! She updated me everyday and sent pictures of how well my pup was doing. Miss Bougiee got along well with the other dogs. Roxsand even gave Miss Bougiee a Chrismas Gift, she was kind and thoughtful and I highly recommend!”

“Kelly was a great! She was very communicative and sent lots of pics during our pup’s stay. He had lots of fun with another pup she was watching - we’d definitely book with her again :)”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Dasia was fantastic again! It’s so great to find someone you feel comfortable to watch your pet. Dasia provided updates and pictures throughout the stay. She was amazing.”

“This was my first time boarding and being away from my pup for an extended period, so I was a bit nervous at first. Nicole helped put my mind at ease, and I came back to a happy, well cared for pup. Very grateful!”

“Max and his mom were very sweet and did amazing with Koa. I could tell he had a good time with them by how happy he was during pick up. I would highly recommend that you book with them 🤎”

“Vania was incredibly sweet and kind with Vader and with us. She was always very responsive, keeping us updated about our cat, Vader, and was very active in sending us pictures of him. She was also very accommodating and flexible with our schedule. We will definitely be using Vania from now on! 😊❤️”

“Thank you India for taking amazing care of our cat! We all felt your deep love and care for all furry family members as you fed and watch out for her. We will request your expertise again and again! If anyone is looking for a true animal advocate who will take care of your furry family, India is great!”
“Lia was responsive and sent detailed updates throughout each day. Lia was also very flexible with some last minute changes I needed to make to the booking. Foxy had a great time staying with her!”

“Janel was the BEST! We booked with her just a few days ahead of time and she was so accommodating and communicative. It was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience. Janel made sure our pup, Cassidy, was loved and cared for. We received pictures and videos of Cassidy throughout her stay. It is clear that Janel and Harvey do this for their love of dogs! Janel even went out of her way to return something we had left at her house. We would DEFINITELY book with Janel again.”

“This was our first time leaving our “Livi” with a sitter! Abigail was TERRIFIC!!! From the moment we met, we felt that Livi would be in good hands. She surpassed our expectations! She communicated frequently and sent pictures which moreover made us more comfortable. We highly recommend her and would not hesitate to use her in the future. Thanks again, Abigail!”

“June is an amazing sitter. She embraced taking care of our dog who has some special needs due to his age and medical issues. She is extremely professional and communicative and made us feel at ease leaving both our pets in her care. She is a gift to this community.”

“Christian was so great with Itty! She sent me pictures everyday of them out on walks and Itty curled up in the house. I would definitely recommend booking with her!”

Kim was great! My dog didn’t have a great first day with the transition and Kim was patient and kind about the whole thing and was willing to help! Sent lots of videos and pictures and checked in as needed to make sure my Dog had a good stay. She does watch other animals at the same time, but keeps everyone separated. Would use her again! You can tell she really loves what she does.

Melonie always takes great care of our pup. Karma is an active husky and she is always excited when she has a visit to her favorite Rover sitter. We have done boarding several times and Melonie is always flexible. Communicative and very pleasant to interact with. We know our girl is in great hands. We’ll be coming back again soon.
Megan was absolutely awesome! I was so nervous about leaving my baby, Mittens, but she made the entire experience stress-free. She sent the cutest photos and daily updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Mittens was well cared for and getting lots of love and attention. I truly appreciated her communication, kindness, and reliability. I would definitely book with Megan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their fur baby! 🐾❤️

Brieana and her family were absolutely amazing! We had a last minute cancellation with the person who typically watches Vito and she responded immediately and set up a meet greet. We could sense the comfort Vito felt with the family the second he walked in so we already had an overwhelming feeling of calm going into our weekend. When picking him up he was so happy but also super relaxed and it was clear he had a great stay with them. I couldn’t suggest Brieana enough. She will be at the top of our list for Vito I’m pretty sure he’s found a new best friend 😊.
Thank you again, Lilian, for taking such thoughtful care of Ruby and Ivy while I was away in Washington state. It gave me a great sense of peace knowing they were in a calm, attentive, and caring environment while I traveled. I appreciated the updates, communication, and overall kindness shown throughout their stay. It was clear they were well looked after and treated with patience and care. I would absolutely recommend your services to others looking for a trustworthy caretaker for their pets.

Kenneth and his wife were truly amazing! They welcomed my Teddie with open arms and full of love. They cared for her as if she was their dog. They spoiled and catered to her. They sent photos and videos throughout her stay with them. Teddie was with them overnight and we could tell when we picked her up that she loved her time with them. I strongly recommend Kenneth for dog daycare and/or boarding. Top notch dog care!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
