“I am so happy I found Donna. Donna is amazing! She treated my fur baby Pixie as if she was her own. Donna kept me up to date daily with pictures and videos. I can tell Pixie was so happy with Donna. She is genuine and has great energy. She is a dog lover! This is my first time using the rover app. Pixie looked so sad driving home leaving Donna. I look forward to many more stays for Pixie with Donna. Thank you so much, words cannot express how appreciative I am, you took such great care of Pixie. 🫶🫶🫶”
“The family to such great care of our baby! This was his first time staying with anyone but us but they treated him so well, sent plenty of pictures, and he was a happy baby when he came home!”

“Chelsea and her sweet doggy baby Lola are both amazing and I felt completely comfortable with my puppy in her care. I was very worried about leaving my pup and thought he would have separation anxiety. I got great reports and updates from Chelsea letting me know he was doing well. We will definitely be using her again very soon!”

“Dana is the best. She will be taking care of my fur baby from now on. Great service. Always sending updates, pictures and videos. We love her and so does buddy. Her home is amazing. Her love for dogs is unmatched.”

“Lillian's home was a perfect set up for Betsy - puppy sleepover! Big backyard to run around in, with a tall fence and a couple of new friends. My kids watched the Betsy videos Lillian sent us over and over through the weekend. The next time we need a place for Betsy to stay, we will definitely first check to see if Lillian is available!”

“This was our first time booking with Lilian & she was wonderful! She took the time to do a meet & greet to make sure Lucy got along well with her own dogs and she made sure to inquire about any special needs Lucy might have. During Lucy’s stay for 10 days she checked in regularly with updates and sent photos of Lucy playing. She had good communication during the entire stay, as well as leading up to it, and she took great care of Lucy! We would definitely book again!”

“Bryana was a life saver. I needed someone to watch my dog after having someone cancel and she was kind enough to accept him. She is really great with dogs. She sent pictures and provided updates each day. I love that she provided undivided attention by just watching 1 dog at a time. I will be going back to her whenever possible.”

“This is the second time Taniya and Terrence watched our Yankee. We love the daily photos and updates. We felt confident and relived knowing they are caring for her. Taniya, Terrence and family go above and beyond to ensure a safe, and loving environment.Yankee came back to us happy and healthy. It is such a relief to not worry while we are away. Thank you!!!! 💙💙”

“Spenser loved staying with Danny, Damaris, and Thor! They are such kind and caring people, and their own dog Thor is absolute sweetheart. I felt at ease knowing my pup was in a loving home. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dog-loving sitter!”

About: I love all pets. I have been pet sitting since I was a teen. My clients trust me and they know their beloved pets will be well taken care of with me. I currently work full time. I have a very flexible job that allows me to have enough time to care for your pet when needed. I have a large yard where your pet can play and explore. The house is large enough for my and your friends. My pets are very friendly and love having visitors.
“Carlton was great! He was very untuned to Georgie’s eating and drinking consumption. He immediately notified me about his concerns. Georgie appeared relaxed and happy at the end of his stay. I will definitely request Carlton’s service again.”

“Anthony was a great guy to board my dog with. I had a last request for a rover and he was available. Communication between us was smooth and Liz my dog seem to like it.”

“Joe was great—easy-going and accomodating. My dog had a great time with Joe and two other dogs! He messaged me updates and photos during the 7 days away from our dog, which was very reassuring. Joe even took my dog on a 5 mile run! Will definately book with Joe again. This was the first time using Rover.com, and I highly recommend. I also highly recommend your dog stay with JOE!”

“Matthew with family is very accommodating and will entertain your dog for a great price! They went swimming and on long walks. Executed Ozzie’s food plan and supplements no problem. They sleep in the bed with their dogs which my dog liked. I’ll be a return customer if they’ll have us.”

About: My love of dogs began when my mom got a puppy when I was in sixth grade. Now I am a dog mom. I've been the proud mom of a Boston Terrier/Frenchie mix for the past 4 years. I've raised her since she was 3 months old, through potty training, puppy training and intermediate training. I'd love to care for your fur baby too. I'm at home during the day and available to drop in/ walk your fur baby. I am available in the mornings and in the afternoon. I have an unfenced end unit townhouse. There is grass on the side of my house and plenty of unfenced grass in my townhome community. I work from home almost every day of the week so I will have time to take care of your baby during the weekday. I'm able to get out and walk dogs on the weekends. I have an unfenced yard and a fenced play area in front of my house. I have a friendly fur baby who likes to play and thinks she's the leader of the pack.
“Excellent!!!! I was very impressed with LaTarsha!!! From the first hour of dropping off my dog, received photos and videos on how he was doing the entire time! This made me feel comfortable especially since this was his first time away from us. I can’t put into words how thankful to have found such a loving and caring person to take care of our dog!!!”

“Alana was amazing! She shared videos and pictures of Miles during his stay and as very responsive. Miles had a great time. We will definitely be repeat customers.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cheltenham
Lindsay was absolutely outstanding with our two dogs, Maui and Gunner. From day one, she gave us complete confidence that they were in great hands. She sent daily photos and videos, which made a huge difference and let us see how happy, relaxed, and genuinely engaged they were throughout their stay. It was obvious our dogs weren’t just being ‘watched’—they were being cared for. Lindsay has a wonderful property with plenty of space for them to run, explore, and play, and it was clear they were having an amazing time. Her daughter also seemed to genuinely enjoy spending time with them, which added an extra level of warmth and attention

Rose was communicative, quick to arrange a meet and greet and respond whenever I had questions, and sent lots of adorable pictures. Super happy with my pup's stay with Rose! He got lots of attention, was well cared for, and came home happy and tired from the sleepover. 100% would book Rose again; she is wonderful.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
