“This was my first time using Rover and my dog had a great experience with Rena. She is an older pet who moves a bit slower and shows other signs of aging and was very comfortable with Rena. She loved hanging out in Rena's spacious, shaded yard and going on walks. Rena sent photos every day and even a couple of videos. Highly recommend!”
“Needed last minute care for the July 4th holiday and found Aaron and Tia! Very accomodating and happy i chose them! I was worried Howie would get anxious but the daily photos and videos assured me he was well cared for and happy! Thank you so much!”

“My pup was so spoiled in love and clearly very happy and comfortable! Best Rover stay she’s had yet! 🥰 I highly recommend booking with Melonie. She provided tons of photos, daily updates and was very thorough in our initial meet and greet. Thank you for caring for Gianna, Melonie!!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we booked Koda for one night with Madelyn and Christopher. From the start, they were incredibly flexible with scheduling a meet and greet beforehand, as well as accommodating our drop off and pick up times. During Koda’s stay, Madelyn and Christopher sent us updates, which we truly appreciated. The first picture we got was of Koda walking right up to the camera with a smile, and it immediately put us at ease knowing he was a happy boy. When we picked him up, that’s when we 100% knew Koda had stayed with the right people. While he was excited to see us, he went back to check on Madelyn multiple times as we were getting ready to leave, which showed us how comfortable he was with her. Thank you both for taking care of our whiny furball. We know he’ll be happy, safe, and well cared for, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.”

“Branden. Take care of my dog and he has all the patient to dealing with my Labrador. This is my 4 times already that he take care of our dog when we travel away. I will recommend if you have a large or small dog .”

“We are so grateful to have Tim taking care our high energy puppy during the busy Easter weekend! Our boy had a great time at Tim’s and was kinda depress that his weekend getaway was over after coming home lol we highly recommend Tim!”

“She is wonderful! Kept us updated the whole time and sent pictures of our fur baby. He looked like he was having fun and being treated so well. Will definitely be using Onayda again in the future.”

“Lindsay took such great care of my pup, Marley, over the holidays! She went above and beyond getting Marley a toy (her new favorite) for Christmas, making adorable ornaments, replacing a sweater that got damaged, and sending daily picture and video updates. In every photo, Marley looked so happy and well entertained, and it gave me complete peace of mind knowing she was truly loved and treated like family. I’m so grateful for the care, thoughtfulness, and communication, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter they can fully trust!”

“Tommy is awesome. My dog, Snickers, loves spending time with him and his son. Snickers is always happy when I drop him off at Tommy's and well cared for when I pick him up.”

“Kiyanna is the dog whisperer🤣. She always takes excellent care of our senior dog and even manages to get him to play with other dogs......something that he has no interest In doing when he’s at home with us!! We also love that she always sends us the best pictures of him while we are away. Thank you for taking great care of our baby!!!”

“Mr. Teddy had a great weekend with Anna and her two pups! Anna was very responsive and sent lots of photos of my boy getting cuddles and exploring the yard. I would highly recommend Anna for pet sitting/boarding. Thanks again 💕”

“My dog stayed with Brian for 4 days. I cannot day enough great things about Brian’s dog sitting. We received photo updates 2x/day. My dog doesn’t go into a kennel, so it was especially important to find a place that he can make himself at home. Don’t hesitate to schedule a stay with Brian...pet will enjoy every bit of their stay!”

“My wife and I are first-time users of Rover, and Ms. Kimberly B. performed above and beyond our expectations. She kept us up to date with texts, pics, and video regarding our pet's status and condition. In short, she was an outstanding sitter and keeper. Well Done Ms. K. ---Dr. & Mrs. M.”

“I’m so glad I came across Mark and his wife. They are truly amazing. I can finally feel at ease knowing Coco is safe and well cared for. Their communication is excellent, and they are incredibly patient with my energetic girl, Coco. See you soon.”

“I’m so thankful for the care that Yiqiuxi and Nick took for my baby girl. Although she was nervous, they did the best they could to make her feel at ease and kept me updated on how she was doing the whole time they cared for her. Thank you and I look forward to a continued relationship with you and my baby girl.”

“My pups had the best time and probably didn’t want to come home. Austin was great with communication and they felt perfectly at home with him. I made a mistake in food and he made sure they had enough and even gave them a brush so they’d be fresh for pickup. If he’s available and you need someone, I 100% recommend. Thanks a bunch!”

“India was absolutely the best caretaker of my boy for the weekend! She sent frequent updates and really treated him like her own. Even sent him home with a goodie bag of treats! I am looking forward to booking her again!”

“I cannot recommend Carolin enough for anyone in need of top-notch pet care! From the moment I dropped off my pup Coco with them, I knew he was in great hands. Carolin provided updates and photos regularly, which gave me peace of mind during my conference. It was evident that Coco was not only well-cared for but also genuinely loved during his stay. I returned to a happy and healthy pup, which is all any pet owner could ask for. Thank you, Carolin, for your exceptional care and attention to detail. I will definitely be booking with you again in the future!”

“Tara was absolutely amazing!! This was my first time leaving my two pups in her care and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She sent tons of pictures throughout the day and very thorough updates on what was going on throughout their stay. One of my pups had a rough time adjusting to a new space and had some accidents inside and Tara was so patient and understanding. I also have a senior pup and they were all so careful with him and ensured he was safe the whole visit. She took them on walks, had lots of playtime and they got tons of cuddles from the whole family. It gave me peace of mind knowing my pups were safe and being cared for as if they were at home. I will definitely book again in the future, I highly recommend her services!”

Vanessa, Gio and their family were amazing. They looked after Miso like he’s been apart of there family since birth. Your love animal will be safe and loved by them. The meet and greet is very thorough and they answered all of my questions. Always kept me informed on how my boy was doing. Book with them is a must

We had an amazing experience with Aaron & Tia caring for our big boy, Zues, for a week! ❤️ I loved receiving the daily videos and check-ins—they gave me and my son so much peace of mind. It was wonderful seeing all the dogs getting along and being cared for in such a safe, loving environment. Zues even cried when it was time to leave! 🥹🐾 That says everything about how comfortable and happy he was. Aaron & Tia are truly amazing. Their love for animals shines through in everything they do. We will definitely trust them again to care for our big boy Zues! Highly recommend! ❤️

Sereniti was great! She provided updates throughout my dog’s stay with her, and even took care when my dog became sick and had digestive issues. She even went out of her way to allow us to pick my dog up late at night to be able to bring her home. Thank you so much!

Saniyya is so amazing and understanding. While she was boarding my dog Scooby we encountered some issues with our rental car. I reached out to her and she was more than accommodating. I can't say enough about how professional and thoughtful she was during our time of dismay since we were out of state for a funeral. I will recommend Saniyya 10 times out of 10 for your boarding needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
