About: I grew up with many pets. For example, I’ve had 6 birds, 3 hamsters, 1 dwarf gerbil, 1 leopard gecko, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and possibly more. I currently have 2 dogs. Both are rescues. Jasper is 2 years old and I’ve had him since he was about a month old if even that, and Raleigh who is 7 now. I’ve had her since she was 2. Aside from the doggy babies, I also currently have a brown anole that I took in from Florida. His name is Tommy and I’ve had him for 4 months now. He was a baby when I found him. I also have 2 fish, Gumball and Penny. I personally believe all animals are babies. I’ve also pet sit for family members before. I’m currently working part time and I’m not yet in school. I do have a lot of free time, and because I don’t live alone I have people home to help take care of my furry and scaled friends, where as some people may need some extra help that I’d be able to provide! I was raised right. I’m respectful, do not cross boundaries, and know better than to disrespect clients (human and animal, of course!) I’m a big empath, I love animals beyond comprehension. I’m a vegetarian that’s working my way to veganism if that can show you how empathetic I am. I also cry while watching Ratatouille. I love walking, I love talking to animals, I treat animals as if they are literal babies because they are just too cute!
“Atiyana was fantastic! She gave perfect updates, and the animals were so happy and cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book her again. You won’t be disappointed!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I lucked out with Anne Marie and Carlos. They were gems! I was able to rest on my vacation for the first time in a long time knowing my girl (and my home) were being well taken care of. I appreciated so much all the updates, pics, and vids while I was away. Definitely made me feel better being away! I will absolutely use them in the future!”

“Morgan was great with my fur babies. I received so many pictures and videos and felt connected to them even while I was miles away! I will definitely be asking Morgan to watch over my babies again and would highly recommend Morgan to anyone!”

“Aleyah is very professional and caring. She cares for our pups well and is attentive to their needs. We will continue to rebook Aleyah for dog walking and dog sitting services.”

“Anh took terrific care of our pups. She was responsive, sending daily updates and getting in touch with any questions she had about dog care. I absolutely recommend her for puppy care and will request her for future needs.”

“Sanai did a great job taking care of my pup. She was great with my dog and very respectful of my home. She communicated well with me while I was away. I recommend her sitting services. I will also be working with her to walk my pup when I return to in person work.”

When you book with me, you can expect reliable and caring service. I live in an apartment with a very friendly dog. I have 2 roommates that also love animals as much as I. My #1 goal is to ensure safety for your pets and comfortably for your sake and theirs!
“Hannah has been wonderful with our two dogs, one of which was recently ill and recovering from surgery. It’s been great having someone we can trust with them while we’re away! She always sends lots of pictures and communicates well :)”

“First time anyone has watched Chloe overnight besides my parents and Chloe is 11.5! Linda made me feel at ease and kept me updated on how Chloe was doing! Linda made sure Chloe got all her medicine. Highly recommend Linda”
“Michaela stayed with our Lab for three days, and she was wonderful all around. She was prompt and extremely communicative (and shared lots of pics). She walked our dog frequently, and when he created a couple of issues (ha), she handled it great, kept us in the loop, and went above and beyond with cleaning up (laundry, dishes, etc) and generally left the place looking nicer than before she arrived : ). I would absolutely recommend Michaela!”

“Nagela was a lifesaver!! I booked my first dog sitter through Rover.com almost one month before a long trip and, unfortunately, she cancelled days before my trip. Luckily, Nagela popped up as a dog sitter in a last minute, frantic search for someone to watch my dog for ten days (including the July 4th holiday). Nagela was extremely professional and prompt from our very first interaction over Rover.com. I felt at ease within minutes of meeting her. She took great care of my dog and my home for over a week on last minute notice!! I think I've found my go-to dog sitter for any future trips!!”

“Absolutely Amazing! Highly recommend. Very patient with our stressed German Shepard mix, she really took the time to work with him and was able to to balance his personality and needy behaviors along with our cat and her personality. Can’t say enough how I appreciate her help. Lucky to have found her.”

About: Experienced dog walker with a lifelong love for pups! I've cared for dogs since 2008, including senior dogs and those with special needs like blindness and diabetes. Your furry friend will be in caring hands! My schedule is flexible to accommodate your needs. Feel free to message me to work something out for dog walking! Early mornings or during the day! I had a fenced yard with lots of space. Safety and trust are my top priorities. When caring for dogs in my home, I ensure a secure and comfortable environment. I follow all owner instructions carefully, provide constant supervision, and maintain a clean and hazard-free space.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I had a golden growing up for 15 years and now have a dog of my own! I love going on long walks with dogs who need it, playing fetch, and giving lots of scritches and love! No dog is too small or too big for me. Happy to accommodate anything your pet needs! I’m currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule. I work in VA and living MD so I’m really all over the map. I would prefer any time after 3 but can also come in the mornings with enough heads up. I do not have a fenced in back yard but do have a nice trail to walk on and get some energy out. I also have a lead in the backyard to keep the dogs safe and not escape if they would like to roam freely. My coonhound has been just fine with the set up! I also have a crate if preferred. My dog is friendly with others and loves other dogs!
About: I work at a veterinary emergency hospital, giving me hands-on experience caring for pets with a variety of needs. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to every pet’s routine. Whether it’s puppy care, senior care, medication, or simply providing love and companionship, I treat every pet like my own. I’m currently working full time so my schedule only allows me to pet sit Friday-Sunday and also holidays. Why not do what I love even when I’m off? I have a fenced in yard and 2 pet friendly dogs myself. I also have an open area for the dogs to feel comfortable when in doors.
“Xavier has watched my pet Mojo twice now and I could not be happier with the experience. From our very first meeting, his professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for animals were incredibly clear. I highly recommend Xavier because of his fantastic communication. Xavier sent daily photo updates and quick text check-ins, keeping me completely stress-free while I was away. He followed all of Mojo’s dietary and relief routine with no issues. My home was left completely spotless, organized, and secure. Mojo is a naturally anxious pet due to his separation anxiety but warmed up to him almost instantly, which speaks volumes about his gentle demeanor.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Brandywine on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 8,935 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brandywine. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brandywine walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brandywine maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brandywine choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
