About: I grew up with many pets. For example, I’ve had 6 birds, 3 hamsters, 1 dwarf gerbil, 1 leopard gecko, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and possibly more. I currently have 2 dogs. Both are rescues. Jasper is 2 years old and I’ve had him since he was about a month old if even that, and Raleigh who is 7 now. I’ve had her since she was 2. Aside from the doggy babies, I also currently have a brown anole that I took in from Florida. His name is Tommy and I’ve had him for 4 months now. He was a baby when I found him. I also have 2 fish, Gumball and Penny. I personally believe all animals are babies. I’ve also pet sit for family members before. I’m currently working part time and I am also a freshman in College. I do have a good bit of free time, and because I don’t live alone I have people home to help take care of my furry and scaled friends, where as some people may need some extra help that I’d be able to provide! I was raised right. I’m respectful, do not cross boundaries, and know better than to disrespect clients (human and animal, of course!) I’m a big empath, I love animals beyond comprehension. I’m a vegetarian that’s working my way to veganism if that can show you how empathetic I am. I also cry while watching Ratatouille. I love walking, I love talking to animals, I treat animals as if they are literal babies because they are just too cute!

Sanai was an absolute delight! She is incredibly respectful, clean, and kind, and took exceptional care of our three-month-old puppy, Obi. My husband and I highly recommend her and fully trust her to care for our fur baby in the future.

I booked a 10 house-sitting stay with Mika and was overjoyed to see videos of my retriever mix so very happy and comfortable. I could tell my Mila loved the attention she got. My dog is 12yr old this coming July and I wanted someone with experience. Mika's vet assistant background was perfect as well as her history with rescues and special needs pets. My anxiety for such a long stay was quickly eased after the first photos and texts. Mika's upbeat attitude is refreshing. She's totally focused on Mila"s every need. I gladly recommend her. I will certainly book again. Deb

Sarah was absolutely wonderful with Parker! From the very beginning, she made me feel comfortable and confident that Parker was in great hands. She was attentive, caring, dependable, and treated Parker like she was her own. Parker was happy and well cared for when I returned, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s not always easy trusting someone new with your dog, but Sarah completely exceeded my expectations. I’m so glad we found her and will definitely be booking with her again. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and reliable sitter! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Anh was wonderful with our dog Wilbur- she sent us updates and was really sweet to him. She stayed over at our place which we appreciated because our pup can get a little anxious. Anh left us a very nice note and left the house very clean. We will definitely be reaching out to Anh again until the future for dog care!!

It was our first time booking Aiayana and she did a fantastic job taking care of my dog during the holiday season. We loved her personality right from our first meeting! Aiayana kept us updated by sending pictures of Ginger's daily routine and she went the extra mile when my dog had an accident on the carpet. Additionally, she left the house spotless and even cleaned my cat's litter box, which was not a part of her job. We'll definitely book her again!

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years, with experience caring for cats, dogs, bearded dragons, turtles, rabbits, and other small pets. My love for animals eventually led me to work professionally in the pet-care field, starting at a grooming salon in Brentwood, Maryland. I’ve also worked in a veterinary clinic as a Veterinary Technician Assistant, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals, recognizing changes in their behavior and health, assisting with treatments, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. As a lifelong pet owner myself, I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. I treat every pet in my care like they’re my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. ❤️🐾 I work full-time, but I’m available for weekend pet care and services before or after work depending on my schedule. I’m happy to communicate about your pet’s routine and find a schedule that works for both of us. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, medication assistance, or simply some company while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to care for them! 🐶🐱💕 Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, medications, and any special instructions before providing care. When caring for pets in their home, I treat their space with the same respect I would my own. I make sure doors and gates are securely closed, pets are supervised appropriately, and their food, water, medications, and belongings are kept safe and organized. With my veterinary clinic experience, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior or signs that something may not be right and will communicate with you promptly if I have any concerns. I also understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable with someone new, so I never rush the process and allow them to warm up to me at their own pace.

About: I currently work at a veterinary hospital, where caring for animals is part of my daily routine. I have hands-on experience with feeding, administering basic care, monitoring behavior, and handling pets of all temperaments. I also have cats of my own, so I understand the importance of patience, comfort, and routine. I’m confident caring for both dogs and cats, including those that may need extra attention, and I always treat every pet like my own. I work Monday through Friday at a veterinary hospital, so I’m already actively caring for animals throughout the day. I’m available for pet care services in the evenings after work and fully available on weekends. My schedule allows me to provide consistent, reliable care while still giving your pet plenty of attention and time. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. With my experience in a veterinary setting, I’m trained to recognize signs of stress, illness, or unusual behavior. I take time to learn each pet’s routine and needs to make them feel as comfortable as possible. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide a calm, clean, and secure environment and follow all instructions closely.

About: I'm a volunteer at Prince George's County Animal Services Facility & Adoption Center. I work with small and medium dogs plus cats. I also have my own pet sitting service in my neighborhood called " Payton's Dog Walking/Pet sitting Service" where I have loyal customers. While I’m just starting as a pet sitter, I have cared for my own pets and helped family members with theirs, including feeding, walking, and providing companionship. I’m a quick learner, dependable, and passionate about animals, ensuring every pet feels loved and cared for. Pet care easily fits into my daily routine as I prioritize being organized and adaptable. Whether it’s morning walks, midday feedings, or evening playtime, I can structure my schedule to ensure consistent and attentive care. I value creating a routine that keeps pets happy and comfortable, balancing their needs with my day-to-day responsibilities In My Home I create a safe, pet-friendly space with no hazards, plenty of comfort, and constant supervision to ensure pets feel secure and cared for. In my Client’s Home I follow the owner’s instructions, maintain a secure environment, and provide familiar comforts to keep your pets relaxed and happy while updating owners regularly. I prioritize safety, trust, and open communication while ensuring pets feel comfortable and well cared for in any setting. Whether in my home or a client’s, my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for pets, giving both them and their owners peace of mind

Ada was amazing!! This was my first time using the App and she made me feel so comfortable. She agreed to a meet and greet prior to my house sitting dates and my dogs loved her instantly. She was very communicative and kept me informed on everything. As this was my first time leaving my babies with anyone outside of family, we were all a bit nervous and hoping this was a good match. My mom even checked in with Ada and she was totally cool with. My mom and dog both have dogs and we are pretty certain Ada has 3 new clients. Ada maintained my home wonderfully. She really was patient with and understanding and I would recommend her 10/10, especially for new clients.

About: I get along with animals pretty naturally. I do a lot of sitting for family and friends when they go on vacation. Giving love and care to your fur baby takes a lot of time and the DMV has a lot of traffic. It takes a village! I can pop in or stay over to make sure all physical and emotional needs are taken care of. I am a fitness instructor. My schedule changes and is flexible as long as I am given notice and clear instructions. I do not work full time. I do not have a fenced in yard, but can keep a crate. It is a townhouse so limited space, but plenty of parks and areas to walk your fur baby.

Rubi and Martha did an amazing job taking care of my little pack! I have three little girls that are very attached to me and my husband, but Rubi and Martha went above and beyond to provide good care for them. We had a meet and greet with them, and a visit to my house right before the scheduled dates. They were very accommodating and understanding. During the stay they kept in touch and sending videos and pictures throughout the day. We had an amazing experience and country recommend them enough. Thank you!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Windsor Manor

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 9,014 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Windsor Manor. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Windsor Manor walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Windsor Manor maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Windsor Manor choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windsor Manor. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
