“Brian and Carly were such great stewards of our pup, and I would 100% recommend them. Not only do they personally have a good vibe but they have a dog, Doc, that was friendly and non-aggressive, who was a great playmate for our dog. Their home is well equipped for hosting. And Brian sent us the cutest pictures that calmed our minds as first-time Rovers. I know I relied on reviews to book and I would definitely recommend them.”

“Fitz had a wonderful time with Melonie. We found a 2nd home for him and i will truly have a more enjoyable trip knowing Fitz is staying with a wonderful family.”

“As tempting as it is to gatekeep Miss Kimberly..CAN’T DO IT SHE IS AMAZING! After my Rover sitter canceled on me last minute, I was scrambling to find a good quality sitter for Roman. Immediately I was welcomed with open arms by Miss Kimberly. She really made it feel like a family member was taking care of my dog. She is very attentive, kept me updated daily multiple times a day, and was very thorough with explaining to me every detail of what his experience will be while he stayed with her & safety precautions she takes. They have a beautiful yard and plenty of space in their home for my house hippo. Roman immediately bonded with her husband too, who was also very welcoming and kind. She has bumped up to my #1 Rover sitter ⭐️”

“Corey is amazing. We used him for boarding services. He took very great care of Duchess and treated her has his own. He provided a status and pictures of her multiple times per day. I will definitely use his services again! Thank you so much Corey!”

“Diego did a great job with our 7 month old puppy during a 2 week stay. It was our first time leaving him so we were pretty anxious, but from the second we dropped our pup off we felt at ease because Gus was happy and comfortable with Diego. We got pictures and videos of him having a nice time thought his stay that reassured us he was having a good time.”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Nicole and family did an amazing job with Zack! He had such a great time that he's now exhausted 😴👍. Their kindness, responsiveness, and care were truly appreciated – thank you for making our experience so special!”

“Carlton was great! He was very untuned to Georgie’s eating and drinking consumption. He immediately notified me about his concerns. Georgie appeared relaxed and happy at the end of his stay. I will definitely request Carlton’s service again.”

“Donna is the best! My girl Finny is almost 17 years old and Donna is so patient and kind with her. I always know Finny will be safe and treated like family when I’m away.”

“Abigal was very kind with Chiquita, responsive and very communicative with pictures and daily updates on how she was doing. She accommodated a late arrival and a last minute change in pickup, and her care for my pup was visible. Great sitter and would gladly book again!”

“Roxsand was wonderful from start to finish! She accepted my request for weekend boarding and immediately made me feel comfortable. When I met her and her pups, it truly felt like a house full of fun and love. We did a meet and greet beforehand, and she explained scheduling and routines. She even offered daycare prior to the boarding so my little guy could get familiar, which I really appreciated. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions about my dog and his routine. I mentioned that my baby usually sleeps with me, and she was more than willing to let him sleep in her room—something that meant a lot to me. During the stay, Roxsand kept me updated with plenty of messages and photos, and she was always responsive and reassuring whenever I had my little anxious questions, or comments, hehehe. It was also comforting knowing my pup had her adorable dogs and family members to play with and keep him company. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and would absolutely book with Roxsand again.”

“Great stay! Latoya took great care of my dog. We visited before his stay to introduce him to her and her pets. She kept me updated on his day to day happenings & sent pics daily. Latoya even gave my dog meds since he was recovering from a dental visit. He had a great visit!”
“Lillian's home was a perfect set up for Betsy - puppy sleepover! Big backyard to run around in, with a tall fence and a couple of new friends. My kids watched the Betsy videos Lillian sent us over and over through the weekend. The next time we need a place for Betsy to stay, we will definitely first check to see if Lillian is available!”

“Christian was so great with Itty! She sent me pictures everyday of them out on walks and Itty curled up in the house. I would definitely recommend booking with her!”

“Jennifer and Louis are FANTASTIC. They are Dolly's home away from home. I feel 100% at ease with Dolly in Jennifer's 24 hour care. Dolly has stayed with Jennifer before - and just now for 2 weeks and I will fly up from Florida for Dolly to stay with Jennifer and Louis when my family and I travel Internationally in October. Jennifer communicates, send pictures and keeps us informed. We love Jennifer and Dolly is always happy to see her and Louis.”

“Luisa was incredible with our pup who was staying with her for the very first time. From the consistent updates (photo AND video) to the text updates of how he was managing, she let us have a full trip with a peace of mind! Could not recommend enough!”

“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

“Super responsive, super friendly, sent tons of pictures and videos during the stay. Even went above and beyond to handle some of our dog's particular issues/factors.”

“My active pug had a great stay with Colleen and family. I knew he was in great hands and they kept in touch with pics of Vinny and their lab Lily. Lucky to have found them!”

Corey was amazing with my Pepper Jack. This was the first time that I left my Pepper with anyone. We were able to meet a couple days before my trip. He also sent pics and I could reach him anytime. I truly appreciated her communication, kindness, and reliability. Thank you again, Lilian, for taking such thoughtful care of Ruby and Ivy while I was away in Washington state. It gave me a great sense of peace knowing they were in a calm, attentive, and caring environment while I traveled. I appreciated the updates, communication, and overall kindness shown throughout their stay. It was clear they were well looked after and treated with patience and care. I would absolutely recommend your services to others looking for a trustworthy caretaker for their pets.

Rose was communicative, quick to arrange a meet and greet and respond whenever I had questions, and sent lots of adorable pictures. Super happy with my pup's stay with Rose! He got lots of attention, was well cared for, and came home happy and tired from the sleepover. 100% would book Rose again; she is wonderful.

Brittany has taken care of our dog Blaze twice now, and we couldn’t be happier with her! She’s incredibly attentive and professional, and we always feel at ease knowing Blaze is in great hands. She provides regular updates (and pictures) during his stay, which we really appreciate. Blaze absolutely loves staying with her—he gets to play with other dogs in her spacious, fenced backyard and always comes home happy and tired. We highly recommend Brittany to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Kenneth and his wife were truly amazing! They welcomed my Teddie with open arms and full of love. They cared for her as if she was their dog. They spoiled and catered to her. They sent photos and videos throughout her stay with them. Teddie was with them overnight and we could tell when we picked her up that she loved her time with them. I strongly recommend Kenneth for dog daycare and/or boarding. Top notch dog care!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
